Falkensteiner Hotel Adriana

We had the most wonderful holiday at the Adriana hotel - the staff are so friendly and helpful, they cannot do enough to help you, really excellent. The food is amazing and unusually for us we ate at the hotel four nights out of seven, apparantly they have a new chef, the set evening meal was superb, fine dining at its best. Room was OK but poor balcony view with utility area and there was a smell but given how hot this summer has been I will easily forgive that because the outdoor terrace where you eat and socialise is a delight. Great pool, walk down under the trees through the gate and you are on the front with a pebble beach On arrival we asked for a kettle - it arrived before I leisurely walked back to our room. Loved this hotel and 'Hi' to Helena on reception who gave both my wife and muself a hug when we checked out - honestly I would go back to the Adriana hotel without reservation, happy days in Zadar made more special by this hotel. This is a hotel with a wondeful atmosphere and delicious food. The rooms were spacious and stylishly finished. The rest of the hotel could do with some TLC in parts

We have been happily returning to Falkensteiner Hotel Adriana for many years, and we have always been extremely satisfied. The fact that we keep staying longer and longer says it all – most recently, we stayed for almost two weeks. Hotel Adriana is an exceptional adults-only boutique hotel with fewer than 50 rooms and an enormous garden – in fact, it feels more like a private park. There is plenty of space to relax in peace and privacy. The entire property is beautifully maintained and located directly by the sea. It is fully enclosed, and the paths are lined with beautiful old rose bushes, adding to the unique charm of the place. Right in front of the hotel is the seafront promenade, with a small sandy beach, pebble beaches and even a little pool where dogs love to cool off. For us, it is simply perfect. When the weather is nice, meals are served on a beautiful stone terrace right in the garden. The food is excellent, with breakfast being a particular highlight. The selection is enormous, and there is even a separate à la carte menu for eggs and other dishes – all included in the breakfast price. What we appreciate most, however, is the genuine friendliness towards dogs. Dogs are not merely tolerated here – they are truly welcomed as guests. They can stay with you during meals (in bad weather, tables are set up in the bar area) and are free to relax with you in the garden. We have never experienced any problems whatsoever, and even guests without dogs generally seem to enjoy their presence. There are sturdy sun loungers with very thick, comfortable cushions, which can easily be moved underneath one of the magnificent old pine trees for some extra shade. The rooms are spacious and all have a large balcony. Guests can also use the very nice spa at the neighbouring family hotel if desired. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and many of them have been working at the hotel for many years, which creates a wonderfully personal and welcoming atmosphere. Thanks to all of you! In short, Hotel Adriana has become our favourite hotel over the years. We absolutely love coming back here and can recommend it without reservation. It is a truly special place, and one of those rare hotels where you immediately start looking forward to your next stay before you have even left.

Ok hotel in some ways but bad in others. Nice staff in food areas but was unimpressed by reception staff. Check in experience was quite bad. Wasn't welcomed warmly at all and wasn't given any information whatsoever on amenities, just given our room card. The room overlooked a rooftop of gravel and had the smell of fresh cat poo for our entire stay so we couldn't enjoy the balcony during our stay for these reasons. The room itself smelled badly of damp. The safe didnt work and maintenence man unhelpful and abrupt saying can't fix it and I don't have another one to replace it. Bathroom was spacious but shower is like a wet room with doors to the floor with bad seals so water spread to the whole bathroom. Pros were nice location on the beach, decent gym and good breakfast options, but we sadly won't be returning as our experience wasnt worth the amount of money we paid and we wouldn't recommend to others.

We truly felt welcomed great service beautifully kept and clean. Fantastic base for touring the north Dalmatian highlights. We celebrated my husband's birthday and we were surprised with a lovely cake and card. Marina and her team were amazing can't wait to go back.
