Hotel Donat

Excellent location with a pleasant walk along the promenade. Pool area is clean and not over crowded with no sun bed for people to put their towels on before the go out for the day these are in the gardens. Good is plentiful with a good choice so you can always find something tasty to eat even for the fussy eater. Most drinks around the pool are self service so no queuing at the bar but drinks are available there but we didn't use it. Our room was adequate and had a fridge but no balcony which was not a problem as we were on the first floor. The walk into Zadar Old Town (Forum) took us about an hour at a leisurely page which is pleasant as it follows the coast all the way.😁

A very pleasant surprise—low price yet high standards. The food was excellent and varied. The room offered a view of beautiful sunsets, and the location was close to the beach, with a fantastic pier and a clean surrounding park. It was near public transport and shops, yet very peaceful. Friendly service.

This hotel isn't the best, nor is it the worst. It is very run-down and in need of a makeover. My room was tatty (see pictures), the floor was bowed in the kitchen area, the radiator was hanging off the wall and the bed needs some attention as it is falling apart on one of the legs. The kitchen area has no utensils to cook with so not sure why this is even in the room. Cleaning okay, a dead cockroach to welcome me when I got to the room. The bed was extremely comfortable and I did sleep really well. The food was okay, but nothing special and after one day I decided to eat out. This decision was also down to me being in another country and wanting to try local restaurants. The hotel had a good selection of beverages, alcoholic and soft drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful which was nice. This hotel has the potential to be really good, but I just get the feeling they are happy with the current standards.
