Hotel Astarea I und II

Hotel Astarea in Mlini is a perfect choice for couples and families looking for a peaceful and relaxing seaside holiday. The atmosphere is warm and laid-back, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming. A special advantage is the boat transfer to Cavtat or Dubrovnik, which allows you to avoid traffic jams and the hassle of finding parking in Dubrovnik. An ideal place for a carefree stay and quality time together.

This hotel is amazing, ive been 2 years on the trot first time Solo (unintentionally as my friend who i was ment to travel with got really ill so I went alone) i emailed the hotel telling thwm this and they were really helpful. A year later o returned with my friend who was now well enough to travel with me. I emailed the hotel explained I really wanted this trip tp be exactly like the one my friend missed out on the year before and they dod just that they even put us in the same room. The location is perfect thw rooms are clean amd spacious and we had an amazing sea veiw. Breakfast was fab. The only thing i have an issue with is the evening meal. I didn't feel there was much choice and there was absolutely nothing for kids no chips or nuggets or anything remotely child friendly, Also I have never been half board where you don't even get a glass of water with your evening meal we had to buy a bottle of water which we didn't finish the bottle so we took it back down with us the second night but they wouldn't give us a glass.for it as we hadn't bought it that evening which I found a bit unfair. But other than that I absolutely love this hotel and would definitely go back just not half board

Lovely hotel, although abit quiet and isolated. No entertainment as such I the evenings just a guy playing a guitar in the bar. We took cards and games and sat on our balcony with a bottle of wine purchased from the supermarket in Mlini. We had a superior rooms in annex booked with jet2. Stunning views from small balcony with afternoon and evening sun. Rooms 810 and 812. We used uber taxi to get in and out of Dubrovnik at a out €10-€12 each way, worth it as 3 of us and there’s a very steep hill up to bus stop from hotel. Check out cruise mapper before going into Dubrovnik to make sure no big cruise ships in, to make the most of your visit. You need to be fit as there’s a lot of steps around this area so not suitable for some people or wheelchair users. Lovely pool area and a fabulous indoor heated 25 m pool for some proper swimming. Visit Cavat either by ferry €15 cash only, return or an uber or number 10 bus. Walk round the headland a circular walk back to us stop/ taxi rank in cavat. My only gripe with hotel was the lack of water available at the evening meal. I asked for tap water and was refused saying I had to buy bottled water at over €5 for less than a litre. The tap water is perfectly ok to drink in Croatia. I thought this was a violation of EU regulations and raised this with the Jet2 rep who confirmed I could take in one bottle of water each meal, which I did for the remainder of our stay. There’s a small fridge in the room so easy to cool down drinks and water for flasks. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, helped by fantastic spring weather.

Amazing Hotel we stayed in the Annex lovely room and small sea view...rooms cleaned and clean towels everyday....only had Breakfast but could not fault....all Staff were lovely....Pool area was brilliant and all so clean...few minutes to the front with Resturants and Bars ...could not fault anything hope to return

I visited with friends for a 4 night Easter break. We arrived at the hotelaround 11am, our room wasn’ readty un ti2pmsorry for spelling errors cannot see what I’m typing as the app is glitching. so we left our bags and Verny off to explore. The hotel was amazing all staff were helpful and friendly. The facilities were all clean and modern. How this hotel is only 3 stars is beyond me. The rooms are smaller than other hotels but does cause an issue. I would highly recommend the hotel. We visited the surrounding towns using taxis which were reasonably priced. My only minor gripe is that the hot food at breakfast to Luke warm, probably due to the food being put on a normal counter and not a hot counter. Still scranned it all though.l
