Hotel Astarea I und II

Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting. Very clean hotel and rooms cleaned every day. Staff very nice and friendly in all areas. Close by to lots of nice restaurants and bars. Breakfast was good and the restaurant attached to hotel was fab too. Not too far away from Dubrovnik and Cavtat. Lovely walk along the front to Srebreno. Beach beautiful but take beach shoes, water lovely and clear. Pool gorgeous. Dubrovnik beautiful, city walls is a must. Views to die for and lots of pit stops on the way as quite a few steps but well worth it. Would highly recommend this hotel and area. Few steps around hotel but nothing too major. Just book it.

Astarea is a lovely hotel very clean nice breakfast and restaurants We stayed in the annex building it has no lifts so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues Mlini is a nice resort nice restaurants all along the beach Easy to get a water taxi to the capital Rooms was cleaned everyday clean towels and bedding daily Definitely return

We’ve recently returned from this hotel in beautiful Mlini. As far as location is concerned it could not be better - direct access onto a stony beach (bring beach shoes), less than 5 minutes from the harbour where you leave for day trips & catch the water taxi to Cavtat & Dubrovnik (€15pp each way) & both well worth a visit and 5/10 minutes to some very nice restaurants and bars. The pool area, indoor pool & gym area are all free to use & are immaculately clean as is the whole of the hotel. Staff were very friendly & helpful. However what lets this hotel down is the cold food, small rooms & lack of storage. We stayed for 10 days & struggled to store our clothes & belongings.The bathroom is very small but we did have a lovely powerful shower. On our last day we were in the restaurant for breakfast as it opened at 7am and the hot food was cold even then. There is a microwave which we used every day but in my opinion nobody should have to microwave food to make it hot in a hotel. The bar was soulless & would benefit from some background music. Staff in there were lovely. We wouldn’t return to this hotel to stay because of the cold food & small rooms but we would try their self catering apartments & villas because we absolutely loved Mlini. It’s a very quiet little village with a lovely promenade walk to nearby Srebreno. If you’re after a lively holiday & want entertainment then this area is not for you. We loved it & will certainly return.

First time visitor to Croatia and WOW!!! Why has it taken me so long? Everything about this hotel was fantastic. We stayed for 4 nights in one of the Superior Annexe rooms and it was wonderful, clean and comfortable with the most amazing view. Location is brilliant, lovely walk into nearby Srebreno to get the steps in. Stayed Bed and Breakfast and the selection was superb, next visit (because there definitely will be another visit!) we would be confident enough to go half board as I have no doubt it would be excellent. We visited for our 30th wedding anniversary and as Dubrovnik is classed as the Pearl of the Adriatic we could not think of anywhere more appropriate, so this hotel will always hold the most special memories and a place in our hearts. Only negative from this was that I only booked for 4 nights - holiday blues galore. Roll on 2027 for our return. Thank You.

I’ve just spent 7 nights here at this lovely hotel in a perfect location in the small village of Mlini. I can’t fault the hotel at all. We stayed in the annex and though the room was small, it was perfectly comfortable with just about enough storage for 7 nights. View from balcony was stunning. We were on B&B basis and thought breakfast was varied and plentiful. There was no entertainment at night apart from a singer at the Oleander Bistro on site. There is a lovely walk to the next village of Srebreno which was very picturesque dotted with bars and restaurants, every restaurant we ate at was lovely (Basiloco, La Norma, Oleander Bistro, La Boheme in nearby Cavtat). Got Uber’s to get to Cavtat and Dubrovnik and the airport, very reliable and cheap. Dubrovnik is only 20 minutes away. Took a boat trip to Elaphiti islands which were all lovely and picturesque. Would highly recommended this hotel and area if you want a quiet holiday in a beautiful part of the world.
