Excellent hotel! Beautiful resort! Comfortable beds. Clean through out! A special shout to Valentina and Petra who work so hard at breaking every morning. Always smiling and warm and friendly to the guest! Brilliant people skill and a credit to the hotel royal blue!

This was our first time staying at The Royal Blue and we weren’t disappointed. We stayed at a neighbouring hotel last year so knew we liked the area but the hotel we stayed in was tired so wanted to try somewhere new. Check in was very smooth and although we arrived early our room was ready. The rooms were a great size with a lovely big balcony and beautiful sea views (we chose a sea view room) which I would recommend. Rooms are well appointed and I found the bed and pillows to be very comfortable which is a must with my bad back. The rooms had an iron, iron board, full length mirror, hairdryer, l’octaine shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and everything else you would expect Hotel is absolutely spotless with loads of pool areas, although the hotel was busy we never struggled to find a lounger. Staff could not be nicer, very friendly and so helpful especially Petra at breakfast she was lovely. My only complaint would be about the beach bar which was called “on the rocks” although staff were lovely there weren’t enough of them and it seemed a bit slow at times to get service. This didn’t bother us but we did see a few annoyed customers. Overall I would definitely recommend. Old Dubrovnik is about 10 minutes away in an uber which would cost roughly 8 euros or you can get the number 6 bus which is about 5 euro return. Walkway into lapad is lovely and the cave bar is worth a visit.

We booked a 4 night stay at the Royal Blue Dubrovnik. The room was absolutely fantastic, very spacious with loads of storage, 3 large sets of drawers and a large mirrored wardrobe. Also had tea/coffee making facilities and a safe. The king size bed is the best bed I’ve ever slept in and of course fantastic high thread count bedding, it was amazing!!! Great size balcony with nice furniture and a stunning pool and sea view. Food was half board and was lovely. One of us is gluten free and if you let the restaurant manager know he arranges for the chef to come out and discuss your requirements, he even made a lovely pasta dish for us !!! Staff at breakfast are great (Petra) was very nice and friendly and helpful. Pools are well maintained and clean with plenty of sun beds and staff very helpful if you require your bed moving or need an umbrella or towel. Spa offers affordable treatments as well as indoor pool, Steam room and sauna. Hotel is quiet on an evening, probably because there is a stunning promenade that runs up to Lapad with amazing views and great bars and restaurants. The hotel is in a fantastic location and the bus stop just over the road that takes you to the old Town every 15 mins, The only negative I have is that on check out day the spa changing room is very small and nowhere to hang clothes, very difficult when there is a few people in there at the same time. Overall a FANTASTIC HOTEL !!! That I would highly recommend
