I have just reteurned from a very disapointing stay at this Hotel. It was a Holiday booked to celebrte my significant Birthday. My Friends e-mailed the Management to point this out, and ask for two adjacent rooms. Management replied that they would do this subject to circumstances. They did not do very well ! We were on different floors and some distance apart. Although we asked at Reception to move 3 days in a row it was stated that this was not possible. All in all we got the feeling that the Reception Staff did not care, indeed the overall feeling about this Hotel that there is too much emphasis on trying to sell you one of the many Boat trips on offer. I would add that the Cleaning and Bar Staff were brilliant. Yes this appears to be a 5* Hotel the Reception area is beautiful with Sea views. Rooms are of High quality. But administration is lacking. Be aware of 2 areas of personal danger. Bath / Shower, we found that the Bath is very high with a slippery surfce. I fell and caused significant injury to my leg. I had to recieve First Aid treatment from the Reception Staff. Another danger area is by the Sky Pool and Bar. We witnessed several people get out of the pool and walk along the slippery surface of the Bar area and slide, only just regaining their balance. Also be careful as you walk in the Road outside the Hotel, a very congested car Park with Coaches, Lorries and Taxis and other trffic trying to avoid the Parked cars. Shurly a larger off road parking area could be provided. What is there is a danger to guests. As others have noted the food provided is quite expensive and whilst there is a reasonaable choice (as long as you like fish Octopus, Squid etc) what we felt we could select became quite repatative. Breakfast Buffet, a free for all sometimes difficult to get to the food. Neaby facilities. Its a 20 minute walk to the nearest Shop or Restaraunt. I would add that I have stayed in many Hotels all over the World, never have I been in a Holel so devoid of printed information for Guests. there is no written information available. You can watch the TV Video but will only be told about the personal services they can sell you or Boat trips. In short this could be an exceedingly good Hotel should some of these points are sorted.

We visited Royal Blue hotel in Dubrovnik in April/May 2026 for 7 nights half board. The room was pretty good, we upgraded to a deluxe king room with sea view and balcony. The sun arrived on our balcony about 10.15am and stayed until sunset. The views are spectacular with amazing sunsets. Unfortunately the curtains in the room were damaged and let in light from sunrise (see photo) there were a couple of stains on the carpet and scuff marks on the walls. The bathroom had L’Occitane toiletries in dispensers and the maid service was excellent each day apart from the sachets of coffee/creamer did not get replenished all week At breakfast we were allocated vista which is located on the ground floor of the Royal Blue hotel, which had buffet options alongside an à la Carte menu which was excellent and staff were really good. Unfortunately the same couldn’t be said about our evening allocation in the Royal terrace. This is a buffet restaurant without show cooking or à la carte offering, the food was barely warm and ‘theme nights’ were repeated twice a week. It felt more canteen style and certainly not 5 star. One night there was a large trip group in and they received table service. We were not even offered a drink that evening as the 3 staff members were rushed off their feet serving the group. The first night we were overcharged €11 for a bottle of very standard Merlot house wine. The cost should have been €35. We were very disappointed and would have stayed bed and breakfast if we’d known how poor it was. There are no discounts for guests at any of the à la Carte restaurants, we are at Bono and Vista which were both very good. We had lunch at on the rocks and the Sky Bar which were also very good Overall I would say this a 4 star hotel at best. It needs a lot more refinement to make it 5 star in my opinion and for the price we paid not worth the £2300 we paid

Stayed in Royal blue for 6 days and we were given a room facing the Adriatic Sea - the most amazing view you can imagined .The room is massive with very high ceiling , the bathroom is just as huge and modern , the room is replenished and they do the room everyday , towels etc The service is great and guest are allowed to used different pools in the resort , They have multiple smalls pools in the resort . breakfast us typical buffet , I mean hotel blue has its own small restaurant were you can eat breakfast and opened all day - they have small selection on their menu but then you can also use the main restaurant if you prefer a large selection in the buffet but it gets very busy , we dined in their once and not again . Over all our experience is very pleasant.
