President Hotel Valamar Collection

I am absolutely loving my stay here. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, has incredible views, and there is so much to do that you could honestly spend two full days here, never leave the property, and still have an amazing time. But the real cherry on top is the staff. Every single interaction I’ve had, from check-in, to lunch, to simply ordering a cappuccino , has been fantastic. A special thank you to Duško at La Mar! I absolutely adored the service. He was so helpful guiding me through the menu, recommended a dessert that I ended up loving, and then went above and beyond by telling me exactly where to go around the hotel and what time to be there to catch the best views. And I have to add: I work in customer service myself, which means I am probably more easily irritated than most when people don’t act right 😅 — but everyone here has been genuinely wonderful. Beautiful hotel, incredible setting, and an exceptional team. I’m so glad I chose to stay here. I also have to mention how incredibly clean the room and bed were ; the sheets were crisp, bright white, and spotless, which is something I always worry about in hotels. I felt so comfortable that I slept until 10 AM, which literally never happens to me!

We’ve recently returned from a 1 week and when booking were looking for a hotel close to or beachside, a good pool, sea views and close to cultural offers. This hotel met all of these asks and provided spectacular views over the Adriatic. The beach could be accessed directly from the hotel and we had use of two good sized pools, one outside and another inside which was part of the spa. We were on a half board basis with a buffet breakfast & dinner. We thought the food was very good and I was glad we hadn’t booked just on a B&B basis as the two hotel restaurants are expensive and after trying one on our 2nd night didn’t feel the food was any better than the buffet. There are a couple of restaurants in the nearby shopping precinct but nothing too exciting. Dubrovnik can be reached by a bus (about 15 minute ride) that has its terminus outside the hotel so it means you can always get a seat outbound (the buses are very crowded, as is Dubrovnik). Taxis are also available. The hotel can be quite hard to navigate with long corridors and is not particularly well signposted. Quite typical in the modernist style of 1960’s70’s architecture in which this hotel was built. The rooms are spacious and well kitted out, although the cupboard doors are noisy unless shut very carefully. There are some signs of wear and tear in the corridors and in our room but nothing too problematic. The hotel was well staffed and the staff mostly very helpful and efficient. Entertainment in the form of musical /vocalists duos and small bands was provided nightly, some better than others. Overall we really enjoyed our visit and would go back if we decide to return to Croatia

This hotel made our stay in Dubrovnik WONDERFUL. The room itself was sparkling clean, large, had a beautiful view, and offered all the amenities we needed. The facilities themselves aren't perfect like a Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons would be, but the problems are minor (a line at check-in, a corner of wallpaper peeling in one of the rooms, and the hallway to the beach was a little musty). But the kindness and attentiveness of the staff more than make up for any gaps in the facilities. The location was also just what we wanted, with a beach AT the hotel (smooth pebbles, not sand), a pool overlooking the incredible view, and the Old City easily accessible and just as few minutes away by Uber. The week we were there at the end of July was very, very hot, so having access to the water made all the difference in the world. We had two V-Level suites and thought it was more than worth it for the extra services it provided (a designated area at the pool, breakfast seating, bubbly hour in the lounge in the late afternoon, etc.). Breakfast had an incredible view, and our server knew our preferred beverage orders after one day. He was kind, helpful with information about the area and even offered some input on his home country of Montenegro when he heard we were taking a day trip there. We felt well taken care of, and it was such a fun way to start the day every day. Bubbly hour was similar - just wonderful, kind staff who made sure we had what we needed, and made our stay truly special. We looked forward to it every day. Loved this place, and will definitely be back.

There are hotels you visit, and then there are hotels that become part of your life. For us, Dubrovnik President is undoubtedly the latter. We have been returning to this beautiful hotel in Dubrovnik for many years, and with every visit we are reminded of why we keep coming back. What began as a favourite place to stay has become something much more personal — a place filled with wonderful memories, familiar faces, and a feeling of being genuinely at home. The hotel itself is magnificent. Its stunning setting, breathtaking views of the Adriatic, elegant surroundings, and attention to detail create an atmosphere that is truly special. Every stay feels peaceful, refined, and effortlessly luxurious. But what makes Dubrovnik President truly exceptional is its people. The entire team is incredibly warm, attentive, professional, and sincere. Over the years, many members of the staff have come to recognize us and welcome us with such genuine warmth that we feel less like returning guests and more like old friends coming home. That feeling is priceless. There is something very special about being remembered, about being welcomed with a smile, and about knowing that the people looking after you genuinely care about making your stay wonderful. The staff consistently go above and beyond, and their kindness and dedication are what make this hotel so unforgettable. After so many years of returning, we can say with complete confidence that Dubrovnik President holds a very special place in our hearts. It is not simply where we stay when we visit Dubrovnik — it is one of the reasons we keep coming back to Dubrovnik. Thank you to the entire team for the beautiful memories, the exceptional hospitality, and for making every visit feel so special. We are already looking forward to our next stay. We have been spending our two-week annual vacation at the Valamar President Hotel every year since 2015. After 12 consecutive years of visiting, we can confidently say this hotel feels just like home. Every summer, we look forward to returning to our favorite spot on the fifth floor. Walking into the exact same room each year instantly sets the mood for a perfect, relaxing holiday. The unique sunset view from the fifth-floor veranda is absolutely breathtaking and unmatched. Getting to the excellent beach is also incredibly convenient, as it is just steps from the hotel elevator. The hotel truly knows how to celebrate the loyalty of returning guests. Because of our long history here, they grant us VIP status, which includes exclusive dining access to the Momenti restaurant. Over the years, the hotel has also organized incredible custom excursions for us. A standout highlight was a breathtaking boat tour to the Elaphiti Islands, which the wonderful Martina organized for us. What truly sets this resort apart is the outstanding staff. The management team -- specifically Jasmina, Martina, Goran, and Paulo -- is incredibly polite, professional, and helpful in every possible respect, as was Zeljko before he left the President some years ago. They lead by example and always make us feel so valued. The dining experience at Momenti is spectacular. Both the breakfast spread and the dinner options are excellent, offering a wonderful variety of high-quality food. A very special thank you goes to Bozena and Marija at the restaurant, who always take such wonderful care of us with their top-tier, attentive service. If you are looking for luxury, comfort, and world-class service in Dubrovnik, look no further. We are already counting down the days until our return next year!
