Beautiful staff. Great hotel. We will be back!

This break was for my friends 60th birthday after we had to cancel Dubai. A one week break with Jet2. Flights good with room to move around. Good coach transfer 30 mins from airport. The staff are lovely- at reception, in the restaurant and around the pool, and the room attendant too. They can't do enough for you. This was early in the season and the hotel was only half full so we had no problem getting a table on the sun terrace at breakfast and loungers round the pool. The breakfast was amazing. An actual honeycomb for your breakfast honey, mimosas, egg station, such a huge choice. The outdoor pool was freezing and the indoor one not much better but we had lovely weather for sunbathing with free towels. The pool bar opened towards the end of our week. Drinks are not cheap. The rooms are nicely positioned and on graduated levels so you don't have any room above yours. Great for peace and quiet. Air con was not switched on until half way through April. Loungers and table and chairs on the balcony. Nice big shower. I wasn't keen on the eco toiletries which smelled of nothing so take your own shower gel and shampoo. Rubbish tv channels but you can use your firestick. The location is excellent. Across the road is a small area with a couple of mini marts and restaurants. The best walk is into Lapad along the coastal promenade past the wonderful cave bar. It takes only 15-20 mins and you will find lots of restaurants and bars with a Tommy supermarket. Beware prices are high. You're in a tourist area. I will definitely think about coming back with my partner. Lots of trips available to while away the time.

Well designed architecturally so that all rooms have beautiful views of the Adriatic. Lovely beach, except it’s pebbles, not sand. Ouch We loved the little #6 bus that took us to Old Town. But, contrary to the information on the website, the hotel has no airport shuttle. Uber is fine, but I wish I hadn’t wasted my time trying to schedule the non-existent shuttle. The spa was lovely except that the Jacuzzi was out of order for our entire stay, as was one out of the three elevators. The hotel seemed a little tired and in need of updating. Our room had no USB ports. The desk staff was not very knowledgeable nor helpful. I told them more than once that we didn’t need the sheets changed every day, only needed the bed made, and the amenities replenished. The amenities, by the way, were lovely. Nevertheless, they changed the sheets every day and never replenished the amenities. How difficult would it have been to have left a couple of tea bags when we’d used ours the first day? We were there for a conference and I asked every day about extending our stay. Each front person said they’d check and let me know. No one ever did. On the third day, someone finally said they couldn’t extend a conference stay and we’d have to book the additional nights online. We didn’t and instead booked the Hilton Imperial, which was wonderful. However, the Valamar properties are within 5 minutes of a great restaurant, Piramida. Even when we’d moved to the Hilton we took the #6 bus back up the hill to go back for dinner.

My stay at Valamar President Hotel Dubrovnik was simply outstanding. From the moment I arrived, what stood out most were the people. The staff genuinely cared - not in a scripted, “hotel-trained” way, but in a natural, attentive, and warm manner that made me feel welcome and looked after throughout my entire stay. The service was top-tier. Everything ran smoothly, requests were handled quickly, and there was a sense that the team was always one step ahead, anticipating what I might need before I even asked. In terms of quality, the hotel fully delivered on its premium promise. The rooms were spacious, modern, and extremely comfortable, with attention to detail that you would expect from a high-end property. Cleanliness and maintenance were flawless. And then there was the view - absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the Adriatic Sea right outside my window, with those wide, open panoramas, was something I never got tired of. Whether I was having breakfast, relaxing by the pool, or just sitting on my balcony, the scenery elevated the entire experience. The atmosphere tied it all together. It was calm, elegant, and premium without feeling stiff or overly formal. I could truly relax while still enjoying a sense of exclusivity. If you’re looking for a place in Dubrovnik that combines outstanding service, beautiful surroundings, and a refined yet comfortable vibe, this hotel was a fantastic choice.
