Valamar Tirana Hotel

Great service, got early check in AND late check out! Clean room, good food, excellent breakfast and nice pool with pool bar! Would recommend!

Me and my friend were very much looking forward to our holiday and wanting a hotel a little more up market decided on Valamar Tirena, the photos looked amazing ! The experience not so amazing ! Our 4 star experience was definitely not 4 star ! I would say more of a 3 star. Firstly the food was very disappointing, ‘mush’ springs to mind ! Tasteless and boring! and seemed to get worse as week went on. No waiter service in the restaurant, which really should have been described as a canteen ! The outside eating area was very dirty . The bar drinks were extremely expensive! All in all we didn’t enjoy our stay there as we were expecting something a lot more special.

Really lovely place if you want low stress, beautiful settings and a peaceful relaxing family break. Everyone at the hotel made us feel so welcome, the restaurant staff are amazing (special shout out to Ria who went out of her way every opportunity she got to chat with our 2 boys and give them balloons). Maro is amazing if you have small kids it is the single best experience if you want your kids to be entertained while you relax though please be aware that as we were leaving they enforced a rule that now bans parents from staying with their kids in Maro club which is hugely disappointing as most travellers will not simply just leave their children unattended. Hopefully this rule gets overturned in the coming years, if it does we will certainly be back as this hotel and the people that work inside it are amazing.

Great resort with 3/4 hotels that cater for all. Two lovely beaches within 5 min walk and a beach club. We caught a 15min bus to Dubrovnik old town and a boat trip to an island. All kids areas as discreet, fresh, stem creative. The food was good, there was something for all again. The food was high standard. Lastly staff were very helpful and kind

Second year here either the kids, stayed in Valamar Lacroma hotel, particularly enjoyed Mara World for the kids and lunch in Oliva, Mario was the best with my kids, and service overall from staff was exemplary. A definite must for families!
