Valamar Tirana Hotel

We had a fantastic family holiday at this hotel, the staff were all lovely, friendly and very helpful and the hotel itself is beautiful with clean, spacious rooms. The hotel includes Maro world which is huge with lots of areas for all ages to play and perfect for the kids when not out and about sightseeing and to tire them out on the trampolines in the evening. The pool and its facilities are lovely and well attended by the staff. We went at Easter and they will warn you the pool is cold, which it is, but that didn’t stop my daughter spending plenty of time in it and she also loved the slides. Despite there being slides and a small children’s pool there a plenty of places to relax with lovely big sunbeds. The indoor pool and spa at the sister hotel close by are also lovely and can be used, towels are also provided. I would say my favourite part of this hotel though has to be the breakfast, an amazing selection with plenty to suit all tastes and far too much to list here, I would just say we didn’t need much after that until an evening meal. The hotel location is ideal, we didn’t have dinners in the hotel so walked along a beautiful ocean side path to Lapad on an evening where there is a good selection of restaurants and the sunset views are a amazing. There are also very regular buses in the old town. The hotel bar is also lovely with a variety of evening entertainment and a beautiful outdoor space. There is a beach club close by but it wasn’t open when we were there as we went over Easter and quite early in the season. All in all I would definitely recommend a stay here, we were two adults and two older children, we requested an interconnecting room and were given two separate rooms on their own small corridor which then had a door which locked so it was our own little space and perfect for us.

My stay here at Valamar Tirena was amazing! Lovely hotel, very chilled vibes! Room was very modern, always spotlessly clean as was all areas of the hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful with all enquiries. The food was excellent with lots of choice for breakfast and dinner. It was an ideal location for exploring locally and further afield. The local bus service is reliable and regular. All in all it was a great stay in a very beautiful area.

It’s probably difficult to outstand at a great scenario, such as Dubrovnik. We’re talking about a city full of history, architecture, post-war background and a lot of beautiful nature. So, it’s easy for services to find room for missing. That’s why I should greet Tirena’s staff for being so warm and careful: they took that chance of being kind and never missed it. Thumbs up to staff member Boijan, whose kindness at our check-in in the middle of the night worked just as a priming for the great days to come; and a special shoutout to our concierge Nevenka Baselli, who took great care of my wife and me in our first holydays after becoming parents: we were able to enjoy unforgettable moments, just the way we wished. That’s the true spirit of a concierge!

10/10! Delicious buffet, brilliant in/outdoor pools, wonderful staff, spotless everywhere! Spa in next hotel to use, gaming rooms, trampolines and kids, indoor games.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The hotel was immaculate — everything spotless and beautifully maintained. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious with a fantastic variety of options to suit every taste. Even though it was a little cooler in October, we loved that there was access to another Valamar indoor pool just 650m up the road, as well as beach clubs nearby — such a lovely surprise! The whole experience was just stunning. I would highly, highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to come back one summer.
