Hotel Mimosa Lido Palace

We have just finished our week stay here, as a family of four with two children aged 9 & 13. Overall we found the hotel to be beautiful, below are my list of pros and cons; Pros: A comfortable stay with a very light, airy room, nice size balcony (although you are very close to your neighbours, could do with higher walls). Beautiful views of the sea from the balcony and there were NO sunbed wars which is the first I’ve experienced in Europe. The pools are locked until 8:00am and even by 9:30am there are still plenty of beds available. The restaurant on site is nice but can be very samey. Reception staff very helpful and attentive. I found the pull out bed very hard on my first night and asked if they could do something about it and they provided a mattress topper straight away. Lots of excursions on offer and nice little walk to the local port. Beautiful blue seas. Market on site is well stocked and well priced. Very clean pool area. Cons: The housekeeping aren’t very attentive and towels aren’t replaced. We weren’t aware of this but a quick call to reception and they had clean towels sent to our room. I would highly recommend a car as you are in the middle of no where: if you’re happy sitting by the pool/sea and walking to local cocktail bars and novelty gift shops then no car needed. The dolphin safari excursion the hotel offered was good however we didn’t see any dolphins, so be aware this isn’t guaranteed despite the name. The animation team keep themselves to themselves so you have to go and find them if you wish to be entertained apart from daily Zumba in the pool. Very few English guests, take that as a pro or con as you wish. It was our first time to Croatia and we loved it!

The hotel is located by the sea. The food tasted good. Nice room with air condition. Frendly peopel and staff. Balcony facing the sea. Quiet! The sun loungers nearest the sea were very expensive, not the hotels they were free.

We spent one week in this camping resort, not in the hotel, but in the mobile house, in the camp. We have 3 daughters (10,7 and 4 years old). I would say it was one of the best vacation we ever had. Each day we could decide, if we spend the day by the sea or by one of the realy nice pool. For us, as a family with small kids, the best part of this resort was the animation program for kids (Olie`s kids club) near the Minosa Lido Palace Hotel. Our kids just loved it. They wanted to be there in the morning, afternoon and also on the evening disco for kids. So after long time, me and my wife had some free time to relax without kids. The 3 animators were really great. They know, what the kids like. Thank you very much.

Please bear in mind no public transport only taxis which are expensive. Spent 10 days there with only the promenade and bay. Plus hotel seems to cater for german or Austrian guests. No English speaking guests there. Our rooms on 7th floor like student accommodation. Very few photos show this hotel bedrooms. Most reviews are from foreign guests

We had an excellent experience. Accommodation, meals and staff interaction exceeded our expectations. The sea view was another plus.
