A Heartfelt Thank You to the Wonderful Team at Plava Laguna Umag I recently had the pleasure of staying at Plava Laguna Umag, and I would like to take a moment to recognize a few very special people who made our stay truly memorable. First and foremost, I would like to thank the Hotel Director, Mrs. Lejla S for her hospitality and leadership. A very special thank you also goes to the wonderful front desk team, Marko and Milica ( Zlatan)and the incredibly friendly and helpful concierge, Nikola.From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcomed and valued.. They were always kind, professional, and ready to assist, and they handled any questions or issues that came up with great care and efficiency. I also cannot forget the amazing restaurant team including the managers and their wonderful staff: ( very hard working team) Angela , Selma, Aleksandra, Ines, Sanja, and Božana.Every one of them contributed to making our experience special through their kindness, professionalism, and genuine warmth. I would also like to mention the lovely blonde bartender who helped us throughout the day with ordering some of our favourite meals. I am truly sorry that I cannot remember her name, but I certainly remember her kindness and beautiful smile. The entire team at Plava Laguna Umag is simply amazing. Their warmth and hospitality make you feel so comfortable that you leave already looking forward to coming back again and again. And I cannot finish without mentioning the breathtaking view from our room.It was absolutely beautiful and made our stay even more special. Thank you to the entire team for your exceptional hospitality, kindness, and professionalism. nice interior and exterior, persons super and helpful

Not my favourite hotel on trip but some good points. Air conditioning centrally controlled meaning rooms too hot and they say nothing can be done. At least 30 minute walk into town. Swimming pool was closed on 28th May which just seems ridiculous. Just didn’t feel welcoming .

For many years, our group of friends has been regularly returning to the Plava Laguna hotel chain. Each time we choose a different hotel, and we are always extremely satisfied. This May, we stayed at Hotel Umag for the first time, and they exceeded all our expectations once again!What impressed us the most:Exceptional Culinary Offer: The food is truly diverse, incredibly delicious, and fresh. Every day, there were multiple types of meat and at least two types of fish available. We also thoroughly enjoyed the mussels "na buzaru". The selection of side dishes was vast, and we couldn't complain about the salad buffet either. Even though the hotel was fully booked, the staff made sure everything was constantly replenished. All the desserts were extremely fresh, and drinks were already included in the price (red and white wine, beer, and soft drinks at dinner; coffee, tea, and soft drinks at breakfast). The "show cooking" left a special impression, as the chefs prepared certain dishes right in front of us during breakfast and dinner. The hotel is also well-prepared for the youngest guests, with high chairs available in multiple areas.Wonderful Staff: Right at check-in, we were greeted by friendly and smiling receptionists who provided all the necessary information, and the bellboy was happy to take our luggage to our room. The kindness of the waiters and waitresses accompanied us day after day. Whatever we needed, they always helped us with a smile.Flexibility: Since we were traveling together and requested nearby rooms at check-in, they kindly assigned us connected rooms, which made our stay even more pleasant and comfortable.Top-notch Cleanliness: Cleanliness throughout the entire hotel is at the highest level. The rooms were cleaned and tidied daily, and the bed linen was changed after a few days.Free Wellness and Activities: The hotel offers a smaller pool, a gym, and wellness services (sauna and jacuzzi) that are free of charge for guests—you just need to book a time slot at the end. Right next to the hotel, a tourist train takes you to the nearby town of Umag, and there are several tennis courts close by.Well-kept Surroundings and Beach: The beach is clean, and the sun loungers are nicely set up every day. The hotel surroundings are beautifully landscaped, with regularly mowed lawns and lovely flowers.We highly recommend Hotel Umag to everyone, and we will definitely return to Plava Laguna hotels!Thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable holiday from the Lavrič and Škrajnar families.

I give this 3 stars because the room was good, beds comfortable etc. But the rest of the hotel was pretty grim. Low grade package tourism at it's worst...bright lighting everywhere, appalling piped muzak everywhere, poor quality breakfast and staff variable. Thankfully only here for one night on our cycling trip but we slept well.
