Avila Beach Hotel

Had a fantastic stay. Great accommodations with garden and ocean view. This is the place for a calm resort stay. Staff are friendly. Highly recommend the ocean front massage with Vaynis. Best massage I ever had and amplified with the soothing sounds of the waves.

Stayed here a week with my husband and 12yr old. We had octagon deluxe room and it was very specious and comfortable with a huge balcony. The hotel is very small which makes it so easy to get around. No need to reserve lounges as there are plenty. If you are looking for a quiet vacation with no bells and whistles, then you will absolutely love it here. If you have young kids the beach is amazing and they can snorkel right in front of you. A paddle board and noodles are available for free use at the towel hut. No need for water shoes here. If you are a young couple or looking for some entertainment at night this is not a place. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance however there is a lot of construction around and the area outside the hotel seems a bit run down. Also, keep in mind that walking to the center in this heat might not be ideal for all, and you will need to rent a car or use the complimentary shuttle. We had a car so didn’t have to rely on the shuttle. The beach towels are good quality. The Pen restaurant is excellent and I posted a separate review for that. My only little complain is I wish they offered more than one beach towel per person. We didn’t ask at the reception but at the towel hut they said no. Not sure if that’s an option. Also, wish they had additional blankets in the closet but again maybe if I asked my wish would be granted.

Relaxing and snorkeling in the two private hotel lagoons was incredible. It was lovely having food and drinks delivered right to our seats by Clyde, who was so nice and hard working.

The hotel is fantastic. The beach areas and accomodations are 5 star. Super clean. Hot showers, excellent air condition. The service is on Island Time but Clyde is tremendous. Walking distance to amazing restaurants. The front desk staff did everything to make our stay amazing. The breakfast is outstanding and we had a private dinner on the beach that was perfect. The chef and service was incredible. The hotel would benefit from having friendlier and lively bartenders. They barely speak. Not fun or welcoming. That was disappointing.
