Gravity Hotel & Aqua Park Sahl Hasheesh

The beach is beautiful but the tide goes all the way out and even when it is in its only ankle deep so that's just a heads up for the whole sahl hasheesh area. The snorkeling off the pontoon is fabulous and a real bonus. The hotel. Its dated. The rooms are either just ok or dingy, fortunately we got an "ok" room but we had the use of another to shower in on our last day and all I can say is thank god for "ok". Having said that there were many repairs needed to our room that had been bodged to make do. The cleaning was also skimmed over, the sheets were only changed once in 2 weeks and although there were clean towels daily and the mini fridge stocked with water and soft drinks it didn't make up for the fact that the floors were always filthy and you had to wipe your feet before you could get in to bed. The waterpark and pools. This was ok although the steps are steep so for our 2.5yr old it was tricky and we had to watch her like a hawk, there was never a lifeguard policing the top of the slides for the little ones to make sure it was clear so often you'd be waiting at the bottom and another child would come slamming into the back of ours. Also there was a crack in the floor at the top of the slides that seemed to be getting worse everyday and was a hazard waiting to happen. The pools look nice on the surface but most need repairs doing and general maintenance (liners coming loose, stick on tiles peeling) the pool attendants however can't do enough to help and are very attentive and there are more than enough lifeguards who are on the ball so that's encouraging. However again when its busy there aren't enough loungers by the main pool and its so crammed with umbrellas the sun is completely hidden and everyone is on top of each other which personally I can't stand. The food. Im sorry to say but it's awful. Same things everyday at the snack bars but thankfully the pizza and chips were edible because the main buffet restaurant is pointless. All the food is catered towards the russian guests, of which there are many. There are a lot of options but I couldn't tell you what 80% of it was. We aren't picky eaters but we struggled, even the pasta was tasteless and constantly reheated so it was dry. And usually that's a last resort for us. The toddler refused to eat full stop so we had to get a taxi to Senzo mall to buy food to put her on because she was losing weight so quickly. She was violently sick for 24hrs after eating half an omelette on morning 3 of our 2 week holiday so we had 36hrs in the room, then the 3 adults got some dodgy eggs 2 days later and were all really sick for 2 days and weren't right for the rest of the holiday either. We didn't bother with breakfast after that. There's no proper waiter service in the buffet restaurant, we were asked if we wanted a drink twice, there aren't enough tables when the hotel is busy which it was very busy on the 1st week, it's like a cattle market, tables aren't set properly, aren't cleaned between settings and everything is half done, you have to ask for napkins and cutlery and if youre sat waiting for your family to grab something before you go to look they will give you 1 napkin for a table of 4, that in itself is an awful environment but when you can't find anything to eat other than chips its pointless and in the end we gave up. We ate at the Italian twice which was ok but trying to get booked in to the a la carte restaurants is also a task and the man taking the bookings is nothing short of rude. We binned the other 2 tickets because we couldn't get in. The entertainment. Repetitive. Not enough seats when busy to cater for everyone and often people then stand infront of you if you get there early enough to get a seat! The steps in the amphitheater are simply dangerous and again like the restaurant the area just isnt big enough to cater for the number of rooms/people in busy periods, I dread to think what its like in the height of summer. There was a fire show 3 times in 10 days. Long gaps between mini disco ending and the main show starting. If you choose to sit in the sports bar area you need to get there early because again all the tables and chairs are taken so sometimes you just end up having to sit in an outdoor restaurant area just to enjoy a quiet drink. The music that is blared out of the speakers by the main pool during the day is awful, its generally all dance music and the dj hasn't a clue what he's doing, it starts and stops or is simply 4 songs on repeat for 2 hours straight (I dont want to hear Bruno Mars for a very long time) I get playing music when there is aqua zumba etc but background music is fine the rest of the time and it doesn't have to be ear splitting (even our 18yr old had enough) Toilets. Disgusting. The toilets by the slides are gross 🤢 3 soap dispensers all broken and no alternative. Not cleaned regularly so you can imagine the state of them when it's busy. If you used a different toilet area you might be lucky and find soap but there's no paper towels. Bins overflowing. Just nasty. Unfortunately I could go on about many other issues and aspects of this hotel but to be honest I want to forget the whole experience. This isn't our 1st time in Hurghada and I did my research so Im not sure who wrote the good reviews but at best this hotel is 3*+ it most definitely is not 5*. The bar staff in the sports bar were lovely, the guy in the towel shed was always polite and the pool attendants and entertainment team were all super friendly but the waiter service around the pools was poor and in general it's just not a good standard across the board. The guys on reception are rude and abrupt and I very nearly lost my mind with them when we checked out. For the 1st time ever we couldn't wait to leave and get home and when you save all year for one 2 week holiday that certainly wasn't the cheapest it is incredibly disappointing.

This was the best all inclusive holiday I’ve ever been on. Staff were super friendly, the hotel was breathtaking and looked great, there were many pools and bars to choose from, the waterslides were super fun and didn’t feel repetitive, the food was great and we were allowed to go to 3 à la carte restaurants in a week even though you are only supposed to have 2 per week. The hotel is about 30 mins away from the airport, so not too long of a journey, and it takes about the same amount of time to get to the marina also. The sea is extraordinary and I definitely recommend you bring a snorkel to go in with and water shoes. Life jackets are available at the end of the pier for not so strong swimmers who still want to experience below the waves. You are never bored here and the hardest choice I had to make all week was if I wanted to be at the pool, slides, or sea. If you are staying here I recommend a boat trip. I went on the all in one trip that you could book through the sun international company after you arrive at the hotel, and it was an action packed, thrilling day that I wish I could relive over and over again. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our trip and had great photos to take away, and the lunch provided was delicious. We also got another free trip to the city of Hurghada when we booked this trip, and the tour guide was so sweet and welcoming and we had the best time learning about Hurghada. I must say, if you go on this trip and want to get souvenirs during your stay, they take you to a big shop where the prices of magnets and other items are way cheaper than the shops in the hotel, with a lot more option so definitely take this into consideration before buying from hotel shops. The room we got was lovely, the beds were big, balcony was big, and bathroom was clean and practical. Sometimes however in the hotel, the water wasn’t working too well in the taps and shower etc, but it would soon come back on so was not really an issue, and although the fresh juice is extra money, you get a great deal and they are the best smoothies/milkshakes and mango slices I’ve ever had before. I definitely recommend this hotel as it really does live up to its 5 star rating. 😁

The hotel is amazing, rooms were very clean. Also, everyone was so nice and helpfull. The food is delicious and varied, so everyone will find something to their liking. The beach is very close, and there are several swimming pools.

My stay at Gravity Hotel Sahl Hasheesh was an extraordinary experience, a perfect example of Egyptian hospitality taken to the level of art. Mr. Hassan is the kind of manager who not only coordinates, but inspires. He is present, attentive, empathetic and always ready to provide quick and efficient solutions. It manages to create an atmosphere in which every tourist feels appreciated, listened to and treated with respect. The entire hotel staff deserves just as much praise: - The waiters are exemplary — helpful, attentive, polite and always with a sincere smile on their faces; - The bartenders are friendly, fast and very talented, preparing excellent and personalized drinks; - The pool staff is vigilant, organized and extremely attentive to the comfort of the guests; - The valet delighted us daily with adorable animals made of towels, a detail that brings joy and personality to each day; - The baggage handling team is very helpful, prompt and attentive, offering immediate help upon arrival and departure, with the same kindness and the same warm smile; - A moment of absolute pampering was the meeting with Ms. Fatima from the Amun Spa massage center, a true professional, with impeccable technique and golden hands. She treated me with rare attention, perfectly intuited the tense areas and managed to transform every minute into a deeply relaxing experience. Her delicacy, calmness and skill make massage not just a service, but an art form. I felt truly pampered and grateful for her care and dedication; - An unforgettable moment was the Saturday evening show, supported by professional acrobats who offered an impressive show, literally playing with fire. It was an intense, captivating, perfectly executed show that raised the hotel's entertainment level to international standards. What particularly impressed me is the fact that all the hotel employees, although they work extremely hard and are in a continuous rhythm to make our vacation perfect, always have a smile on their faces. It is a positive energy that is felt everywhere: in the restaurant, at the bar, on the beach, at the pool, in the lobby. This attitude makes the difference and creates an atmosphere of relaxation and good mood. Gravity Hotel Sahl Hasheesh is a place that I recommend with all confidence to those who want excellent service, dedicated staff, a warm atmosphere and memorable experiences. I have already planned my vacation for next year. I can't wait to return to this place that offered me one of the most beautiful travel experiences.

Staff Hospitality: 10/10 – The staff were always smiling, friendly, and ready to help. Rooms & Food: 10/10 – Clean, modern rooms and a great variety of delicious food every day. Activities & Animation Team: 10/10 – The entertainment team was energetic and professional, with different shows every night. Will we come again? Definitely YES!
