Pickalbatros Aqua Blu Resort

Beautiful hotel, lots to do, very clean staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Entertainment staff and programme suits everyone. We had a family room which was very spacious and clean, our cleaner was fabulous and gave us all we needed which included towel creations which made us smile. I have Coeliac and was helped by chief each time I ate as to which foods I could and could not eat safely. Pools were clean and we all had fun taking part in the various activities. Would fully recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed this hotel as a family with a 9year old. We did have an issue as they had placed us in Aqua Vista but had booked Aqua Blu with TUI. My husband said I had “karaned” too hard and the manager came to our room apologised and offered to move us to that section. We were not bothered about moving as we preferred the Aqua Vista Hotel as it was quieter in that pool any way but customer service was 10/10. Also unpacked so wish I’d not mentioned it 🫣 Food was great, lots of choice. Staff were so friendly but think that’s also due to wanting tips. We did the Magawish snorkel and boat trip through TUI was brilliant day out and the crew were great with the kids in the open water. Management came around the pool to ask about how stay was etc. informed us as I don’t think reception were on check in about free trips and à la carte You can book 1 à la carte meal At the Italian. It was okay, a different evening meal. You can have one trip to Neverland show in the evening, the manger booked for us by the pool but can do it at reception. Dinner and a show from around 6:45 pick Up return at 10pm. They bring lots of courses of food through the evening The other is you can book a trip to Aqua Jungle 11-5 ish. This is well worth it as it’s expensive to go so may as well Make the most of a free trip to an amazing water park with food included. The beach is great, we hired a snorkel for 5euro for the day from the snorkel shop on the beach and you can have food there it’s up the stairs near where they drop you off on the bus. Fair is great but they have weight limits on things. VR room is amazing and you get three tickets per visit. We used to go around 7:30/8 after dinner Slides have weight restrictions as well. Some are under 70kg and the big slide was over 55kg. If your child is near 10year old. Make sure they say 10 as they turned some away as they said they were only 9. Have a lots of small notes for tips. The drinks guys bring them all day which is nice. Towels and sunbeds didn’t need to get up early, we would go gym and then put towels down about 8/8:30 and there were always beds free. If we came back from the beach late afternoon there are beds available so no sun bed wars at all. We took Euros and normally we spend a few hundred on stuff, excursions etc but really just did the one with TUI and the beach and free ones filled our 11 days. Get some very small Egyptian notes if you want but we didn’t need any just tipped on Euros. Can use English to tip It was windy last few days so take some beach pegs. We loved the desert place near the sky bar. Had lovely pastries all day and then from 7 another whole selection of deserts which were delicious. The place was really clean, pool was scrubbed evening and morning. People cleaning non stop. Rooms could do with modernising but we didn’t really spend too much time in them. We flew at 11pm but they had no late check outs so we just packed a change of clothes and just had a quick shower/rinse by the pool using the out door showers and just changed in toilets. I’m sure there is an area for this but didn’t even ask, kept luggage in the luggage room. The sales people do come round but a firm no thank you and they go. Think that’s it. Like to leave reviews as I rely on them for my holidays!

The room was clean. The stuff was very nice. With family is the best place to stay. The food is tasty and the pools are clean.
