Pickalbatros Jungle Aqua Park by Neverland

We are three incredibly fussy people. Yet the range of food (which seems to be the biggest complaint) catered to us. The rocking burger was my nephews favourite and the shock when the staff started dancing was a pleasant one. We mostly ate there and the soprano. Thing is when catering to the masses you’re not going to be able to cater to the individual. They can’t win to please everyone. When we got there my youngest nephew was gutted there was no lollipops: we arrived late and they move them over night. He did come home with a shocking amount as the staff insisted he took several every time he passed. So if you are arriving late be aware the lollipops go away at a set time. We were in block E I think. On the first night we were disappointed as it seemed so far from everything. Due to the sheer size everything feels miles away but it’s only a short walk. Plus you have constant buses taking your around the resort. Thanks to the buses we worked out we had the best spot as so close to everything. The pools and resort is spotless. They work day and night cleaning and maintaining. If you choose to stay at your room; a staff member comes and takes your drink order and delivers it throughout the the day. Our lifeguard was an utter gem of a man and very kind. The lines for slides was huge but expected. Same with the mid street shows. Honestly by night four maybe we worked out the different stages and locations of the entertainment available all day. The staff who served drinks were epic; from banter to support. They just were friendly and engaging. We left a tip and asked for towel art and were not disappointed. My nephew left nuggets out and we got ants; dealt with in less than hour. I would highly recommend for families. Neverland show: my kids got bored as the first hour or so was instrument play with some singing. Walking past later it looked epic but we had left. Maybe give it more time than we did. Negatives: guest relations- went three times to ask for information and was like speaking to a wall; they didn’t understand and gave no information or help. Same with the main reception staff. But that’s the only thing. I was genuinely disappointed and it was resort related queries. An example was they set up like a food court in the main pool areas where you can go and pick from various stations. I asked what it was and if it was for that night and was told the bus will pick me up and take me to the restaurant area or reception; just tell the driver. After many attempts I just said thanks. So would recommend walking around as the food court thing was amazing with so much food choices. All cooked or prepared there and then. Worst thing is the constant, obsessive spa and outings staff who come all day to the room areas. It’s not a massive inconvenience but it’s annoying. Inline with this was the member of the entertainment crew who sat down with my family on the second day to ask us to do a hotel review right then with her there. When we said we just got here she tried to manipulate us by saying she wanted to please her boss and it would mean a lot. We refused. She wasn’t pleased. I also was not pleased. Reviews are after an event or experience. Tips: do the VR room mid day to avoid the cues. On your first day take a bus around and maybe if you can explore all the like cul de sac areas as they connect with so many shortcuts. Snacks go to senzo mall. Use the app for updates on the schedule.

Hotel has so much to do. Can’t fault much, the only things I would say, is it’s probably too big of that makes any sense. Lots of walking each day. Also the food was quite similar each night, and there were no sunbeds near the kids waterpark area. Thanks

Recently returned from a 7 night stay at the water valley section of Neverland. Overall we’ve had a lovely holiday. On arrival we were very impressed with our 2 bedroom premium apartment which was absolutely huge for the 3 of us. This slept more between 5 + 6 people as opposed to us 3. Room service daily and characters made out of towels if we left a tip. Biggest worry for us was the food but we’ve found something to enjoy most days. our favourite being rocking burger and i enjoyed the pizzas that are made fresh in front of you, Taj Indian food was ok but heard very positive things about it so expected more. Everybody we have came across has been polite and friendly although some of the bar men and the grounds workers can be sharp and shouty. Obviously like most places there are some cons being Cons - Miles to the drink points - Miles to the ice cream points - The Resort is so big it’s ages away to things you need like towels, drinks, ice creams which you want regularly. - You finish walking for one drink and you need another. - Didn’t see much entertainment of an evening and the bit we did see didn’t look very good. ( I mean in terms of a sit down show ) - Nobody coming round the pool regularly for drinks. - No Packet ice creams or ice lolly’s - If you’re a beer drinker you need to ask for 2 at a time as it’s 70% foam. - Main stage entertainment is terrible if your used to watching a really good show. ☹️ - Long ques for food - We missed all breakfast as it wasn’t worth waking up early for. - Unfortunately we did go to use the Bumper boats however seen poo in the pool that nobody had spotted or cleaned so put us off going in there. - The place is huge like a mini city so expect lots of walking around. - Resort ran out of ice cream on our second day 😓 Pros - Grounds kept clean and well maintained - friendly people and daily room service - Daily shuttle bus around the resort until 1am in the morning - Friendly bell boy who took us to our room on arrival and didn’t let us carry a suitcase. - The food we’ve eaten has been nice but standard and limited flavour. - Taj and rocking burger are the 2 best food places we tried. - VR room for kids is really good but long ques. - Staff are lovely and friendly and know how to handle banter well and have a laugh with you. :-) - Use the local spinneys supermarket which is located in senso mall, about 10-15 minutes walk from the resort which we did on the evening but watch for the camel man scam lol. 😂 - ** We would like to mention yousef particularly as he’s such a great person and we got on really well with him during our stay** - We would also like to mention the staff at rocking burger. These people work all the hours god sends and still manage to smile all day everyday and nothing it too much trouble for any of them. - Please tip the staff - they work tirelessly and a little of our money goes such a long way for them. All in all we’ve had a lovely stay and a lovely holiday. We are already thinking about booking up for next year but we are not sure weather to do neverland again next year or opt for a more smaller resort where everything is abit more personalised closer and on tap. We will however definitely be returning to never-land again in the future.

My family of 5 stayed at this amazing place for one week in August. Two grandchildren aged 8 and four, my son and daughter-in-law and myself. First impressions of the resort, fabulous. Check in was a bit chaotic but did not take too long. Our family apartment was a shuttle bus away and it was quite spacious and spotlessly clean. The caretaker Mohammed was very pleasant and helpful. We had lovely views of most of the resort from a large balcony. The weather was very hot every day especially in the afternoon. It took a few days to navigate our quickest way to the main restaurant for breakfast, but there were other places to go if you wanted to. Shuttle buses were frequent if you didn’t want to walk too far in the heat or had young children. The food overall was quite good but don’t expect a full English. There is a good choice for everyone in the main restaurant and other cafes close by also snack bars at in between times. The staff speak a little English, some better than others. They were all very pleasant and friendly. The whole place is spotlessly clean especially the grounds. The pools are clean, lifeguards and attendants, waiters all on hand. Loads of pools for younger children , adolescents and adults all supervised. Evening fairground quite good for young families with friendly staff. Some gift shops on site but beware of persistent traders. I could mention more about this amazing place and overall it was a wonderful holiday. However, I have to remark on the negatives, I am a 73 yr old grandmother with mobility problems, I found the kerbs so high in places I had to have help or walk until I found a dropped kerb. The steps on shuttle buses / coaches really high and I needed help most times if the driver did not stop next to the high kerbs. There were lots of steps and ramps to do short cuts through the bungalows and apartments but lacked rails in some places to hold on to. I nearly fell going to ladies toilet near swimming pool as no rail and I did not have my walking stick. There must be lots of grandparents or infirm people who go to Neverland but are not considered enough with regard to mobility issues. So sorry to bring this to your attention because it has put me off coming again. However, the rest of my family would revisit in a heartbeat.

2nd time coming to Jungle Aqua and it was even better than the last time, plenty of different options for food. The staff couldn’t be more helpful, especially our cleaner Mukhtar
