We came from the airport at 8am and were left without bracelets for food until 10:30 (breakfasts ended at 10am), later after we understood we need to pay something extra we also got rooms. This hotel might be 5* the first year when it is built, but not anymore - everything is broken, dirty. We got smaller room than expected (3 insteas 4 beds) - they solved it with extra bed,but no there waa no spare space in the room left so we asked them to take it back and took our youngest to our bed. Our room had broken door handle of balcony, so we were unable to lock it from outside, but that was fixed after few hours and calls. There were some shelves missing in the only wardrobe. Outdoor towel had wholes in it, bedding near pool staines. I believe it would find its customer even when they declare they are not 5* hotel, but we were expecting far more. Food is fine, but it is difficult to find place to sit. Wifi has very poor signal.

Where to start with this hotel. I would recommend not booking here full stop. We stayed for 10 days there was myself my wife and my mum and dad. We had booked two rooms. On arrival they tried to put us in one family room. We declined and said we’d prefer two separate rooms. The hotel cooperated and gave us two rooms together. When we got into our rooms. They were absolutely filthy the bedding had very clearly not been changed in both rooms as there was make up stains on our pillow cases and what looked like body hair in my mum and dad’s bed. The curtains were hanging off as well. When my mum and dad opened their wardrobe there was a very clearly dirty pair of underwear still in the wardrobe. The floors in both rooms were that filthy you could feel the dust collecting underneath your feet. We called down to reception and asked if we could move rooms or if someone could come and clean them, at this point it was nearly 10 o clock at night and we had been travelling all day we just wanted to unpack and sleep. The reception said they wouldn’t change us rooms. My mum and dad went down to reception and they finally agreed to switch rooms. The other rooms weren’t much better but they were slightly cleaner than the previous ones. We went down for breakfast the next day. The food was barely edible. One of the workers came over and brought us juice. He urged us to taste it then when we did he said we had to pay for it. We had no idea that we had to pay before hand. We left the restaurant and went and sat around the pool and consistently for 10 days have had people at the hotel hassle us to use the spa or have a facial. Despite telling them no thank you, every day we had the same people hassling us to buy and when we said no one of the women sat down and started to plait my hair after I’d told her I did not want it doing then she pulled her thread out and started to thread my face I pulled away and told her no I do not want to be touched she said she will come back later when I’ve changed my mind, it was like this for 10 days straight. One of the best things about the hotel was waiters around the pool we could not fault as they were brilliant and very friendly. They completely went out of their way to help us with whatever we needed. On our second day one of the reps came up to us and asked if we’d like to join them to go out to the clubs with other guests from the hotel. We asked for more information and completely unprovoked the rep said ‘ don’t worry it’s good here no gays like England’ we asked what he meant and he said ‘ England has gay clubs we don’t have that here so you will have a good time without gays.’ Obviously myself being married to a woman I was quite shocked by what he said, i understand Egypt is a predominantly a Muslim country and we read up on it before we came for our own safety. We did not flaunt our relationship and never once said we were married to be respectful of the culture here, due to our last names being the same most of the people assumed my wife and I were sisters. So I’m unsure why the rep felt the need to mention this. Other than this one rep in particular the others were very friendly and helpful. Also jasmine in guest relations was lovely and so helpful we actually felt like we had been listened to after speaking with her. The hotel runs a taxi service which we used only once. We asked them for a taxi to the marina they usually take you and collect you at a certain time. We were told it would be £10 the man who came to pick us up was on his phone the whole journey and nearly crashed twice then when we got picked up from the marina he demanded £25 even though we were told it was £10. When we explained this the next day to the taxi desk he was rude and said it wasn’t them who got us the taxi even though we booked it at that desk. We used uber for the rest of the week, however and this is not the hotels fault but to warn others when getting uber from the marina a lot of the taxi drivers waiting outside have the uber app and were showing us as if they were our driver one had my wife’s name and booking on his phone then when we got into the car he told us to cancel the booking we asked why and he said cause he has accepted then when we got to the hotel he told us he was not our driver and we had to pay him cash even though the money had been taken already for the booking. We had no choice but to pay. We managed to find another taxi driver named Samir who we used for the rest of the week he was brilliant. The alcoholic drinks are barely drinkable. I ordered a vodka and coke and it tasted like I was drinking damp, spirits all tasted the same and was extremely cheap. The drinks were not from a dispenser they were just bottles of pop that were left open on the bar all day and poured out when requested, most of the time they were warm and had flys flying round them. You also had to pay to watch some of the entertainment in the hotel. The animation team were brilliant especially Turky and Michaela, both absolutely lovely and worked so so hard to make a nice atmosphere for everyone. There is also lots of building work going on in the hotel. There was dust and sand absolutely everywhere and lots of noise from it throughout the day, the building work was left open any of the hotel guests could of walked straight in there, more concerning as there was lots of children here and they could have easily wandered in and hurt themselves, not to mention there was uncovered wires all over it! The hotel stated to have its own private beach. We went down on the hotel shuttle one day and came back after 5 mins it looked more like a builders yard,It was an absolute dump. The hotel also stated our room came with mini bar. It was a fridge with two small bottles of water in, not what you would expect from a ‘5 star hotel mini bar’ Our bedding also was not changed in the whole of the 10 days we were here we noticed on our first day that our sheet had a tiny hole in that was still there on day 10 despite us asking reception and the cleaner to change them. When we booked this hotel it was down on the website as 5 star, we checked reviews before coming here and most were good, We however now know that when it’s your last day they ask you to leave a good review and click the 5 star button, a rep will stand there until you have posted the review. Myself and family feel very let down as we paid a lot for this holiday and we feel disappointed. The only thing that has got us through the 10 days is having to excursions to look forward to and being out of the hotel as much as possible. Anyone who is considering coming here please read and take this review into consideration before booking.

If you have been sold or being offered this hotel as a 5 star hotel.. It's not! The hotel was probably a 5 star hotel when it was built back in 2007 but I would class this as a 3* hotel now. I would like to start by saying how good the hotel staff and management are, they tried to sort out the issues we had and swapped our room (a number of times). The staff were friendly, happy to help and did the best they could. The hotel is set back from the beach but it does have a shuttle bus which goes to their own private beach (about 5 minutes in the shuttle bus). The beach does have a proper toilet and a bar so you can still get your all inclusive while on the beach for the day. The water is nice and clear and a shallow entry so you can walk out a good 50 metres and it not be too deep. There are sun loungers on the beach with wind breakers... Though the padding on top of the sun loungers have seen better days. The bus which takes you to and from the beach goes about every 30 minutes but like the hotel, they have seen better days. The hotel lobby like all lobbies in Egypt is grand and mostly clean, it was revamped last season so looks clean on the surface, though when you look closer you can see a lot of disrepair. Off the lobby is one of the bars, basic but serves tea, coffee and other drinks, though most the tea and coffee cups are chipped or have cracking in the enamel. Bar man was really nice and always had a laugh with my great grandson.. There is another bar upstars which had nicer chairs, and more relaxing, but it never seemed to get used. We went up a couple of times but there never seemed to be anyone serving (Probably why it looks newer and less used) The restaurant was off the main lobby; this is where things start going down hill. The restaurant had signs posted on the way in about no swimwear and not taking food out the restaurant... Shame these rules were not enforced. There was no control in the restaurant, people would just walk to the front of a queue and the staff would serve them. You would also have people taking 2 or 3 whole pitza's when everyone else was offered 2 slices, when you have been queuing for 15 minute and the next 5 pitza's are take by 2 people this doesn't go down well. The food was quite basic and more or less the same each night with a few things swapped in or out. Downstairs in the restaurant was where the bbq food was cooked. I didn't see the bbq get cleaned once while I was there and the cheifs would put the charcol on the bbq still in the plastic bag and light it. The restartant had lots of chipped plates and cups and never felt very clean. In fact there was a rat trap next to one of the tables that could catch a small cat. The restarant was too small for the number of people at the hotel so long queues. The waiter were very friendly and tried to help where they could... They work very hard for not a lot pay. If I was serving the number of the rude people in the restuarnt I wouldn't be as friendly. The pool area was nice with a number of pools and slides, though the sun lounges and sun beds were grotty, covered in staines and grime from many years. The slides are coming to the end of their life, the manager did say they are building a new slide area over the back of the hotel... but this will be next season. By the edge of the pool area and next to the back of the restaurant is where the hotel dumps things. When we arrived it was off cuts of some metal work, some broken paving slabes and other general building material. We pointed this out to the manager and said this wan't what ysou expected to find in a 5* hotel; to his credit it was cleared away and later replaced with an air conditioning unit and some more scrap metal and the fire lighter tins they used to get the bbq lit. The entertainment area was on the other side of the pool and started about 9pm. This wasn't too bad, except for the Karoke which streamed the songs over the hotel wifi which I tested at 0.4mbs. After sitting around for 30 minutes while the entertainment team disconnected and reconnected to the WiFi to try and get the song to stream again, we gave up and went to the bar. The rooms at the front of the hotel have just been referbished and were quite nice, the rest of the hotel looks like it has had a quick coat of paint to cover over all the issues to make it look clean... it's not. The first room we had only had a double bed, which was no good as I had my great grandson with us. They said they would put us in another room and handed me a form to say I was happy with the replacement room before we had even seen it... Glad I didn't sign. The next room had enough beds but was not up to scratch. It was late so we stayed the night in this room. My wife woke the following morning with a rat in her hair.. As you can imagen we contacted Teletext at this point requesting to change hotel.....6 weeks later I am still trying to get a meaningful response out of Teletext.... (What ever you take from this review..... Don't book a holiday with Teletext, their customer service is an insult to the words.). We were moved to a third room, which was better but on closer inspection had mold in the bathroom, blood staines on the matress and generally not clean. The hotel management did offer to move us again but this was now towards the end of the holdiay so they cleaned the bathroom properly and change the mattress. To summerise. If you are looking for a 5* Luxury holiday.. keep looking. Don't go to this hotel during Ramadam as it will be packed. If you get this as a cheap holiday and expect a 2-3 * hotel which you may have to ask the cleaner to clean properly... The staff will make it a good holiday for you. As stated at the start of this now very long review, the staff were fantastic and did their best to make our holiday good, but we booked a 5* luxury holiday and didn't get that.
