We have not been to this hotel in a few years but wow it’s definitely home from home and the hotel and staff are just getting better and better nothing is too much trouble but I have to give a special mention to just a few of the animation team Kimo, Micheal Jackson , Katie and Lily each and every one of you were amazing always checking in with us and making sure we are happy and for this I thank you all but honestly I have to give the biggest shout out to their manager Kareem we have known you for 15 years and watching your hard work and dedication to the staff and guests you should be so proud you are doing an amazing job and because of what you do and how you are this reflects within your team we miss you all already and will definitely be back next year

🌟 Fantastic Stay with Outstanding Staff, Food, and Entertainment! (Room 10340) stay 26 September to 10 October 2026 - Couple Our overall stay at the SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort was absolutely fantastic. Even though we had a very late arrival at 2:00 AM, the check-in process was incredibly quick, easy, and smooth. From that very first moment, the entire staff made us feel warmly welcomed with their genuine friendliness. Pools & Beach Amenities The pools are absolutely fantastic, though they were a little cold during our stay. We didn't get a chance to use the water slides, but they looked great and well-maintained, the WIFI around the pool could be improved. The beach was lovely, featuring beautiful sand and clear water, though it did feel a little overcrowded and cramped during peak times. Outstanding Dining & Bars The food at this resort is simply outstanding. Breakfast and lunch offered a massive variety of high-quality choices. For dinners, we ate at the specialty restaurants every night, and the Egyptian Restaurant was by far our favorite—it had the absolute best food, service, and atmosphere of the entire holiday. The bars were equally great; the bartenders take the time to get to know you, making you feel right at home. The all-inclusive drinks and cocktails package is brilliant, and we want to give massive praise to the Island bar staff who were fantastic all week! World-Class Entertainment & Animation Team The entertainment here is excellent, with great variety throughout the day and evening. We really enjoyed the live singers and the beach party! The animation team is hands-down the best I have seen in many years of traveling abroad. They are incredibly engaging, keep you up to date with everything, and truly enhanced our holiday. * Special mention to Katie (the Welsh girl): She was fantastic, friendly, constantly checked in on us, and was just full of knowledge and deeply lovely. * Special mention to Michael Jackson: Always bubbly, incredibly friendly, and full of engaging energy! Accommodation & Housekeeping The accommodation was okay. It was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday, though the rooms are starting to feel a bit dated and could use an update. On arrival, we were accidentally given a triple family room with three single beds instead of the double we booked. However, our room cleaner, Tosin (Room 10340), was a total star. A huge thank you to him—he was so friendly and truly fantastic at keeping everything spotless. Despite the minor room mix-up, the incredible team, stellar food, and unmatched vibes made this a holiday to remember. We would definitely recommend it!

Although the resort is expansive, everything is within easy reach. The rooms may be older, but they are clean, tidy, and equipped with everything one needs; the minibar, water, coffee, and tea are replenished daily. The housekeeper will also arrange and bring anything else you might require. The food is varied—there is something for everyone in the dining hall—and there are also à la carte themed restaurants with table service. The kids' club is fantastic; the animator, Adriana, is fully dedicated to the children and strives to ensure they are happy. As for the staff, everyone is very accommodating and helpful, striving to maintain a high standard of service.

Just spent another amazing week at the lovely Sunrise. Thanks to such a great team who all work extremely hard to ensure we have the best holidays.
