TUI BLUE Crystal Bay

Excellent hotel, only complaint was being out in a twin room even though we had booked a deluxe double, this was eventually sorted after a couple of trips to reception, eventually sorted next day. All staff are very friendly and accommodating. Grounds are kept very clean and tidy. Hotel very clean room was kept to a very good standard. Plenty of food and variety in the main restaurant although i would say there mus be a lot of waste as there seems to be a lot of puddings (Think this could be reduced) Other restaurants very similar in the amount of food being prepared (too much) Only other complaint was regarding the Tui Annimation team, never spoke too us throughout the whole holiday they seem too speak with their own countries vistitors or younger couples.

Our first time in Egypt and we had an amazing holiday. The hotel is very big, with lots of space around the pools, and everything was really clean and well looked after. The pools were a great temperature, and it was nice having an adults-only pool as an option. The red flag system around the pools was also a really good idea. The restaurants were all really nice and easy to book through the app. Our room was spacious, always clean, and had a lovely view. The drinks, service and staff were all great and we really couldn’t fault them. A special mention to Ahmed at the pool bar, who was amazing throughout our stay — always happy to bring us a drink and somehow always remembered our order! The animation team were also lovely and friendly. We spent quite a bit of time chatting with Jazz, Lera and Mo, who were all great. We did quite a few excursions during our stay, including quad biking, desert exploring, dune buggies, camel riding, a boat trip, snorkelling and sunrise horse riding. The hotel was perfect for relaxing in between everything we had planned. We had a brilliant stay and would definitely book again!

Had such a great holiday, the hotel is the best I have been to, the food and staff are brilliant. Ahmed from the entertainment team really made the holiday stand out, he’s so friendly and works very hard at his job to get people involved and make sure everybody is having a good time, whenever we needed anything Ahmed was always on hand to make sure it happened. He really is a credit to the team!

We recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately our experience was very mixed. There were several issues that really affected our holiday. On many occasion, someone accessed our balcony without permission while my i had just come out of the shower and was wearing only a bathrobe. This was extremely upsetting and made us feel that our privacy and security were not being taken seriously. Unfortunately, both me and my husband were also ill with sickness and diarrhoea for four days out of our 11-day holiday. While we cannot say for certain what caused it, it had a significant impact on our holiday and was very disappointing. Cleanliness was also a concern throughout our stay. We even had to ask for our room to be cleaned again because the standard of housekeeping was not acceptable. We found raw minced meat left on the floor in the Yades Restaurant, which was very unhygienic. On another occasion, a lifeguard was sick on the beach and the vomit was simply covered with sand instead of being cleaned up properly. We also found a random carrier bag and a cap left on our balcony, making us question the standards of housekeeping. The service was inconsistent throughout our stay. We paid for the exclusive beach beds through the Posh Club but received poor service while using them. One evening, my w main course never arrived. Despite chasing it up and waiting a further 20 minutes, it still didn’t come, so I had to leave without eating my main meal. The hotel itself is set in lovely grounds, but the décor is in desperate need of updating. In many areas it feels tired and dated, which was disappointing considering the standard the hotel promotes. That said, there were some positives. The main butler, Hager, was exceptional. She was always friendly, professional and willing to help whenever we needed anything, and she is a real credit to the hotel. The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained and looked lovely throughout our stay. Overall, I’d say around 40% of the staff were warm and welcoming, while the remaining 60% came across as unfriendly or uninterested. With better customer service, improved cleanliness, stronger attention to guest privacy and investment in updating the hotel, this could be a much better place to stay. Unfortunately, based on our experience, it did not meet the standard we expected. I would definitely not rate this a 5* hotel more like a 3* there are so many better hotels around.
