TUI BLUE Makadi Gardens

Reason for travel to Eygpt was very much for the excursions - I had been before some 25 years ago but didn't do the pyramids etc so wanted to also see the new museum and valley of the king - please go you won't regret. We have stayed at Tui Blues before and they are always good so my list of pros and cons (of course my personal opinion) although I have travelled to over 54 countries so I'm reasonably travel aware and budget conscious are my own Pros The food was amazing and a dessert counter like no other, chefs regularly spoke to you and checked in and no tummy troubles. They worked hard and should be proud of what they do. Constant cleaning - the hotel was immaculate as was the room which had everything and was very comfortable. We had a 3rd floor pool facing. Staff worked hard and were very attentive and helpful. A good gym which we used regularly although the air conditioning needs to be set as it was always constantly hot in there. The on site cat and kittens - it was pleasure to see staff take care them as did most guests. For me hotels who take care of animals go up in my estimation. As a hotel it had a good standard with nearly everything you needed, the late check out room option was great. A thankyou to all the staff I encountered - it was a pleasure. Cons The sunbed wars were ridiculous, watched Guests at 5am in the dark towel placing - yes it's the guests fault but needs to be policed far better by the hotel. We ended up at the beach most days as being a walk it was less crowded but if you wanted a bed in the sun good luck. Wifi - very slow and poor - we had to make some arrangements back home while were away and it was painful. I read my kindle so I don't tend to notice normally but this was the worst for some time. The air conditioning was good but quite loud which was a godsend because the entertainment is right next to the rooms we were in. And it was loud. Most of our excursions were 4am pickups so needed an early night. Not a great combination. The little bit of entertainment we did see was actually very good but may not be for you. Would I stay again - no - only because the world is a big place. Not the fault of the hotel which I thought was a solid 8 out of 10.

Another fantastic holiday, the staff are amazing, friendly. Each time we come we are made to feel like family not guests. We couldn't ask for a better place for our summer holiday. Tarak from reception and the Tui Rep on duty truly went above and beyond ensuring we got to the airport for our departure when our transfer failed to turn up

Lovely hotel, staff are amazing and cannot do enough for you. Hotel is only small and entertainment is low key but it makes for an extremely relaxing holiday. Food is great, lots of choice, you cannot go hungry at this hotel.

I can’t rate this highly enough total relaxation from the time we arrived nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff so if you want a relaxing holiday where you are totally spoiled this is the destination for you

Beautiful clean modern rooms. Staff that do enough for you, fresh cooked food. Our stay was fabulous thank you. We shall return.
