Rixos Sharm El Sheikh

2nd time staying here following a great time last year in the same 2 weeks at the beginning of sept for 10 nights. I emailed hotel 2 weeks before requesting same room as previous year as the location was perfect for us, i knew it was a chance request, however they accommodated our request which was great and also put our friends and family on the same floor and same block which again was brilliant. We recognised some familiar faces of the staff and they recognised us...Michelle in lobby bar and Mo the lifeguard around the main pool lagoon with blue beds. These two are lovely people and work tirelessly Hotel grounds are well looked after by the numerous groundsmen. They work 24/7, the hotel is spotless. The new beach bar is an improvement to last year and looks and feels great. Turkish beside the X lounge getting converted to a Greek restaurant , which will be a nice addition to the complex Entertainment daytime, a bit conflicting on the notice boards Wednesday advertised as beach foam party, Thursday advertised as pink pool party, however we went to go to pink party only to be told it was now the beach foam party the previous day... 2nd week we went to beach foam party but it wasn’t pink party, the pink party last year at the relax pool was fab, not sure what happened... we were there for both Thursdays and no pink party as advertised. Night time entertainment in our opinion could be better, more show shows, there was a queen one which was good, Brazilian and gala night shows too that were good, maybe stuff like the greatest showman, rather than ballroom dancing, but that’s only our opinion... Food Upon check in they recorded that we had a gluten free allergy with coeliac, they advised they would inform the restaurants of this and gave us a card show info when we got to the restaurants Salt – Ate there every lunch time for the gluten free Turkish jacket potato with butter and cheese, coleslaw and went next door for gf ice cream at the parlour Indians, nice food and tasty, chef came out about gluten free.. lovely food, soup was a bit spicy but lovely Asian, probs our favourite, went twice, GF sweet and sour chicken and a plain boiled rice Italian, made a fuss of our 10th anniversary, table decorated and waiters came out with drums and music, really nice touch and brought a non gluten cake for the table, a nice red velvet heart shaped cake... 2nd visit, both menus were conflicting, mine was gluten free and my wifes was marked gluten containing for the same dishes.. however food was great after confusion and they said they would adjust menus 3rd visit... Islam our waiter was great so was Mohammed the restaurant manager, menus had been adjusted... beautiful food again Brazilian, bit of a disaster here for us, we were told no bread or cakes, but salad ok by our waiter.... but then served beef which contained soy sauce marinade! With in 5 minutes, didn’t feel great, asked chef who said it was soy sauce and showed us the bottle with after a google circle to search it confirmed soy and wheat....left straight away and spent night in room with bad belly, chef and manager did follow us asking if they could get doctor and could gave us meds if needed... we accept some responsibility as we didn’t ask if meat we gluten free, however they should have also advised it contained soy sauce and wheat as we had just been told about bread and cakes – this would not put us off this hotel at all, we would double check….. it was just assumed the beef was gluten free Could not get into Turkish, a few nights it was closed and when it opened we had already prebooked somewhere Breakfast, last year had a dedicated gf corner with cereal and cakes and bread This year nothing apart from some gf cake mixes in their boxes, not sure if you gave box to chef and he knocks up a cake for you, when we asked about cereal was told there wasn’t any. We would 100% return to here again, we know what you get, friendliest staff, great food and an all round great time and experience.

A great hotel—we’re back for the second time! We love everything here! The entertainment team is great! We played bocce with Svetlana for the first time and really enjoyed it! The food and drinks are delicious—excellent! The sea is clean and beautiful! 🌴 The Brazilian à la carte restaurant is our favorite! 💥 The downsides: mosquitoes in the hotel—you need to exterminate them! Personal care products in the rooms aren't being restocked... We recommend replacing the sun loungers! 🙏 The Turkish coffee and tea, along with the pistachio baklava, are top-notch! 🌸🌸🌸💥 The staff is great and attentive! 🌅 White sand and bright sunshine!

Absolutely beautiful rooms, food , etc .. thank you Ala our housekeeper room 3003 perfect service , always speaks , impeccable job everday xx Had a few niggles with the pool bar , but these were very quickly rectified, thank you guest relations . Marvellous place , we will be back

Arrived via stansted tui allocated room block 3 3207 which was doable as being very limited walking distance close to bus stop and the quite pool room clean big and spacious ,no need to rush for sunloungers had same spot for two weeks and that’s getting there at 9 am very quite atmosphere at this pool if u want a lounder atmosphere there is a pool big up to the pool staff and bar staff ,food served at pool good ,buffet restaurant again catered to our needs plenty to choose from,tried a la cart restaurants for the the first time ever since going to Egypt for last 15 years again good ,mosquitoes not a problem for us occasionally bitten but they fumigated a lot ,the only thing I thought that let it down a little was the the beach just look untidy not through rubbish but sunloungers looked tatty closely packed together ,grounds very neat and clean, minibar with crisps soft drinks cartons of fruit juice bus staff very good pick u up and drop u where needed would I go again definitely catered to my needs as being partially disable bring high factor sun cream some days 50 degrees at ground level pool was great slightly heated just right so thank you Rixos adults only hotel hopefully be seeing nxt august

Entertainment at the Rixos was amazing, aqua cycle was my favourite, gym facilities very modern and have everything you need. The staff - especially Mohamed kept us updated with what was going on and encouraged everyone to take part 10 out of 10
