Overall the hotel is fine, view from the bar is nice, the food is fine (I’m picky), you definitely won’t walk around hungry, even the pizza at the snack bar is good and fresh, drinks could be better but they pour heavily so they’ll do their job;) but the f up is with the rooms. The rooms in the main part of the hotel (100-499 from what I saw) are fine, renewated bathrooms and all, but the rest are 5 min walk up the hill from the main hotel and are not renowated, so I highly suggest contacting your travel agency and asking for a seaview or a pool view room to secure the place at the main part because the difference is huge. (I payed additional 400pln for a seaview update for 7 nights). I stayed at room 317 and it was okay, but my friends stayed at 500 something and it looked terrible, like a different hotel and the area there is sus. Also check the air conditioner cause mine stunk of fungus.

We stayed here as a family of 3 - and our stay was okay. We were originally placed in a room on the ground floor of the main road outside of the hotel, booked as a garden view room. We have a young daughter and due to this being on a blind bend to the road, not ideal and didn't feel safe. We requested to move, and after two days we were allocated a new room. The food here is generally good, but not to the star rating that advertised, pizzas by the pool are lovely - the juices / drinks are not the best quality. No drink making facilities in the rooms. The cleaning is standard, but towels / bedding are not replaced daily - and we were never given more than two towels for a family of three. The location of the hotel is great, just a short walk down to the beach in the village, which has a great vibe, and the restaurants are all great quality and service.

Overall, I would definitely say this hotel is worth the money, especially for the price I paid. The grounds were clean and well looked after, the pool was clean and our room was spacious. I also really liked the option of having a day room if you have a late flight, which was really useful. The staff work so hard, especially the restaurant staff. They seemed to be there from morning until night and were always busy. The food was good for the price we paid, freshly made and there was something for everyone. The chef was also a lovely guy and was always around the restaurant. This is definitely a quiet and relaxing hotel rather than a party hotel, which suited us. Just be aware that it is quite remote. There are a few local shops and a small beach nearby, but there isn’t much else around. The bus to Heraklion is roughly every two hours and the same coming back. This isn’t a criticism of the hotel, but it’s worth knowing before you book. There is also a real mix of nationalities staying here, with English guests seeming to be in the minority. Some people may really enjoy that, but after what happened to us, I did feel there can be cultural differences between guests and perhaps not everyone naturally mixes together. Unfortunately, the last part of our holiday was spoiled by an older Swedish man staying in the apartment next to ours. One evening he was sitting on his veranda outside our apartments, heavily drunk and blowing cigarette smoke towards our door. He then became very aggressive and intimidating towards me. He could clearly see I was alone with my two young children, but still thought it was acceptable to tell me to “go back to England” and make derogatory comments about English people. I found this completely unacceptable and xenophobic. My children were scared by his behaviour and afterwards didn’t really want to leave the room. His wife looked absolutely mortified by what was happening and the following morning quietly apologised to me when he wasn’t looking. I didn’t say anything to the hotel at the time because, to be honest, he seemed very drunk, unpredictable and intimidating. I was genuinely worried about what he might do if he knew I had complained. As a woman on my own with two young children, I wasn’t prepared to risk making the situation worse. It’s a real shame because apart from this incident, we had a good stay. The hotel itself was good, the staff worked incredibly hard and we found it to be good value for money. I don’t blame the hotel for the behaviour of another guest, but unfortunately it did affect the last part of our holiday. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful and relaxing rather than somewhere for nightlife. Just be aware of how remote the location is.

Great hotel well worth its 4 star rating. Food good though l have had better cooked breakfast. View from restraunt is unbelievable, we also benefitted from a sea view room. Only issue we had was tui after a mix up with case. Their 24 hr customer service is a joke.l would definitely go again but with another provider
