Cook's Club Hersonissos

Just spent a week at this hotel. Great location right in the centre of the main strip. If you are sunbather you need to be up early to get a good bed in a sunny position which are side by side all around the pool. The hotel bar is next to the pool and service is provided directly to your sun beds. The bar plays constant music and then a DJ takes over and from 1-6 pumps out music all afternoon. The hotel opens itself to abuse in my opinion, anyone can walk in off the street and use the sun beds and eat breakfast. There is no checks to identify anyone as a hotel resident. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel operates a free change of pool towel daily. Our room was more than adequate and although directly facing the main strip was surprisingly quiet with the doors and windows closed. Air conditioning was great also. If you are a football fan the hotel has a giant projector that screens games on the side of the building opposite the hotel bar. All in all a very good hotel but could be even better if they supplied HP sauce at breakfast.

Just back home after spending a week here, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, initially we were a little taken aback by its location, you enter of a very busy street full of shops, bars and restaurants but to be honest, once you’re inside and at the pool area you’d never know, it’s a beautiful set up, very clean and tidy at all times, the staff were very helpful and friendly and even very caring after I had a fall after slipping on a wet floor and dislocating my wrist, they kept asking how I was and encouraged me to visit the doctor along the road, I inadvertently clicked it back into place myself and found it was manageable so didn’t visit the doctor, the pain wasn’t too bad once relocated but their concern for my wellbeing was genuine and refreshing. My wife and I are nearing 60 and weren’t the oldest there but we did feel it was perhaps a younger person’s hotel, the music was very modern and very loud at the bar/pool area. The breakfast was great, lots of choice and although we never ate a meal there the menu seemed very good. The only small negative for us was the bed/beds, they were wooden framed and very loose and squeaky whenever you moved/turned over. All in all it was a lovely hotel that I’d have no problem in recommending,,,, to 18 to 40 year olds haha but maybe it’s just me. The location was great, lots of supermarkets, bars, restaurants and tat shops around and only a short walk to the busy beachfront.

My husband and I (in our 30s) returned last week from this hotel . We are already trying to rebook . From the moment we arrived to a warm welcome from Billie on reception we went to the bar and “jukebox “ night was on a real vibe and great atmosphere. Erica was fantastic chatting to us and answering any questions we had as new arrivals . The whole place is a vibe with comfy subbed and nice little spots to sit around the place . George at the bar area was lovely to chat to and service was second to none ! . Our room was spotless everyday and came back to a lovely towel art surprise by Angelica . There’s always something going on at this hotel and the love do is excellent. We can’t wait to get back ! .. Dani & Craig

Lovely food, nice aesthetic (at a glance), and good location for the general place. Overall stingy, poor quality and disappointing for the price. Not refilling bottled water or toilet paper, smelly drains, an odd half board system which seems to want to punish you for utilising, hotel although looked cool was poor quality (clearly an older hotel which had been painted over) We were originally put in a “mountain view room” which looked out directly into a carpark aka it felt like someone could step out their car and see directly into our room - after a request to the staff we were moved into a room which was radically nicer which we were grateful for (spoke to two members of staff for this the second was LOVELY) , but for 4 nights to spend one in that room… not sure it reflected the price we paid. The food and cocktails were good quality, but as half board you can only use your tokens in the restaurant (not by the pool so not on coffee/poolside drinks) and not on your last day (something to consider with a late flight). The token system seemed confusing, tricky to figure how much we had left.

10/10! Great location, plenty of shops and restaurants. All staff were lovely and food was amazing. Great atmosphere around the pool and had entertainment on each night. Plenty to choose from for breakfast and room was clean. Would definitely recommend and come again 🤍
