Dream Village

Just back from a 10 night stay at these lovely apartments.All staff looked after us very well as has been mentioned in previous reviews.Room was more than enough for our needs during the stay as was the swimming pool.Have stayed in the resort numerous times over the years and would not hesitate to return to dream village once again,holidays sorted for next year,so it will probably be 2028.

What can we say about this hotel? Fabulous! We arrived on 26th August for 2 weeks. The accommodation is set out into 5 blocks, and there are steps between each block. The bar/reception/restaurant has steps down to it or up to it, depending on where your room is. Our room was lovely and our balcony overlooked Hersonissos, so we had lovely sea views. (Room 504). We had upgraded to the superior junior suite. The room had lots of space, and there was a sofa which converted into a bed. The balcony was spacious and had a table and chairs as well as a foldaway washing line - pegs not supplied, but were not needed. The only thing I did not have in our room, which I did speak to the owner Nikos and his sister Emmanuel about, was a long mirror. There are two options for breakfast - either a fried breakfast with either fried or scrambled eggs, bread, butter, croissants and tea or coffee along with a glass of juice. Option 2 was Greek yoghurt with honey; an optional extra was granola, again bread and butter and a croissant with tea, coffee and juice. The lunches were a good menu ranging from burgers, fries, chicken nuggets, club sandwiches, etc. All good portions and all cooked fresh by the lovely chef, Mo. Michael is the barman during the day, and Kostas at night. Both absolutely brilliant. The swimming pool is big enough for the size of the hotel and has two sections, with one being a bit shallower. This also has a slope to walk in, but the main pool is not too deep. This has a shallow end, or you can enter via metal steps into the pool. The hotel itself is in a fabulous position! Literally 350m from the main street of Koutouloufari. Piskapiano is also reached within a 5-minute stroll. Everyone who works there is lovely and very helpful. We would also like to thank Flora, the cleaner, who made sure our room was spotless. The noise level was absolutely fine; one or two nights it was a bit louder, depending on who was at the bar, but nothing went on too late. The only night we heard loud music was when there was a cultural event on, and it went on until 4.30 in the morning! The atmosphere around the hotel was relaxed, and I enjoyed listening to the cicadas. Would we return? Absolutely, we would. The only thing I would say is that if you have poor mobility or get breathless quickly, this is not for you due to the number of steps. There is a slope between two of the blocks, but there are still steps to get down to the bar.

Had a very enjoyable 10 days holiday in Dream Village. Stayed in a maisonette (501) which was close to the pool and had a sea view from the balcony. Everything in the complex was very clean. Mike and Kostas in the bar are a credit to the complex and our cleaner (unfortunately cannot remember her name) was excellent ensuring we had clean towels and linen when needed. We shall return in 2028 as we have a family holiday in September 2027. Highly recommended as the Dream Village is so central for the restaurants in Koutouloufari and Piskopiano. We walked to Old Hersonissos one day for lunch (Myrtios Restaurant) but got a taxi back as the heat in September made walking uncomfortable. The only improvement which would make the holiday there even better would be more comfortable sunbeds. Having said that there were plenty available and there was no need for a "sun bed war".

This was our first relaxed couples holiday as we usually do city breaks and what an experience this was! As we first arrived we were politely and enthusiastically greeted by the staff who ensured we were happy and comfortable in our room. On an evening the bar man Kostas was great entertainment and spent lots of time engaging and chatting to customers who attended the bar. He really made us feel comfortable and happy to be there, so much that we are trying to book next year too! The food from the bar is beautiful and the team work very hard to keep the accommodation to the highest standard. The rooms are extremely clean and the maid works hard all day to ensure cleanliness of every room. This place is family friendly, but not too busy, making it inclusive for all people which I really love. Thank you so much to the team for an incredible experience and we will definitely be back 🩵

This is the cutest hotel, the staff were so personable and I particularly liked the barman who is very friendly and made the experience amazing ! Hotel room was lovely and clean, comfy bed. Perfect spot outside of the craziness of hersonissos and lots of really nice food to eat nearby. The breakfast included was lovely and for extra cost if you wanted to eat there during the day the food was also really good ! :) would totally reccomend and if i ever go back to heraklion area i know where to stay 👏🏻
