(Superior sea room view room) i would of given 5 stars if service was better. Unfortunately so far, it’s not been a great experience. We arrived 2 days ago, they didn’t have our booking.. no sorry or informing us of what was happening… but eventually we got a room.. we let that go, due to the hotel being absolutely beautiful and the reception staff seemed panicked, so we assumed it must of been stressful for them to figure out what was going on - although, we would’ve appreciated being told what was happening as we were panicking about not getting a room, which is not what you need after a long journey to get here. so I assume there was an issue with the computer system, but we will never know as we were never told anything apart from “we don’t have your booking” and then after 20mins of wondering what was happening, we got handed keys and we were just grateful to receive a room but it’s not what you want to deal with when you first arrive. It wasn’t a nice welcome. Also one of our family members didn’t receive their welcome leaflet of the hotel, so he had no information of what was going on around the hotel, which we had to go and ask for in the morning. We also inquired about eating in the Chinese restaurant, which we have to book with reception but the response we got back wasn’t very helpful.. at first we were told we could book for the following night and then it changed to they only have space on the day we leave.. and that was the end of the conversation. Although we had already spoken to a really nice woman in the Chinese restaurant 10mins before going to reception and she handed us a menu and seemed positive about us eating there, but reception didn’t seem to be able to accommodate that happening for us unfortunately, which was something I was really looking forward to doing during my stay here, but now we won’t be able to experience it due to another communication issue. Also, several times i’ve said hello to staff around the complex and i get no response back… we walked into Minos Restaurant last night and we were rudely told to leave after we had already plated up our food.. apparently it was due to us having the wrong colour bands on, which was completely our fault.. but we were made to feel like we committed the worst crime.. we were granted permission to eat.. stood there with our food in hand, we felt like we needed to leave, so we ate extremely quick and left as we felt unwelcome. The food wasn’t that great in there either. So tonight we have eaten in Dedalos restaurant and it’s so much better.. so we all highly recommend to eat at Dedalos for all meals. Although it was completely our own fault for eating in the wrong place, we would’ve appreciated being informed in a polite way. I’m currently now in the bar lounge area, which our family have smoked in the last 2 evenings infront of staff and we have been fine.. but tonight all of a sudden we get rudely told off by 2 managers who came up to us infront everyone and asked us to stop smoking as it’s disrespectful.. his words were “we have the same rules as your country!!” in a very abrupt way, as if they weren’t happy with English people.. we politely told both men, we’ve smoked for the last 2 nights and ashtrays are everywhere and we aren’t the only ones who have been smoking in the this area... he questioned me, raising his voice saying “WHERE DO YOU SEE ANYONE” ..I said I’m not trying to argue, I’m just asking why we were being singled out? but he seemed to get annoyed and I’m not someone who likes confrontation, so i politely said sorry and they both walked off.. there’s no signs up anywhere to say no smoking.. and to top it off, the people sat opposite us have now started smoking and nobody is saying anything to them? The two men that approached us need a lesson on how to speak to guests in a nicer tone, as they were very unfriendly.. if they speak to us like that, i can only imagine how the staff get treated, which is probably why staff seem so unfriendly around the complex. A change in management would probably fix most of these issues I’ve experienced. - Pros - Pools are very beautiful, with lots of sunbeds. Food is great with lots to choose from. and the rooms are beautiful.. plus aircon is extremely appreciated. Its a lovely touch to have bottles of water for us in the room, which get filled up everytime our rooms get cleaned. hotel is extremely clean and the cleaning team that clean our rooms are lovely, always polite. Animation team are brilliant, they seem to be the nicest staff here.. always happy and informing us of what’s happening around the hotel. The reception area and lounge bar is very beautiful to walk around. You get given a robe and slippers in the rooms, which is lovely. Plenty of shops on the complex to buy snacks for the room. We’ve had a few shows on in reception throughout the day which have been brilliant to watch and has kept us entertained. Hotel is in a great location, only a 5min walk down to the shops.. and if you walk 5mins more you can get to the sea with brilliant costal walks along star beach. the hotel is massive so it’s fun to explore, but with it being our second day and having so many issues already, we won’t be returning. I’m already dreading the next few days of our holiday if we get more managers telling us off and experiencing bad service.. so far it has dampened our spirits and we can’t wait to go home. It’s a shame as we have waited all year to come here but i’ve experienced a nicer atmosphere from staff in lower star resorts. We are all currently trying to get on and make the best of things, as it’s a fantastic complex, so we’re hoping we’ve just had bad luck and that the next few days of service will improve. i will be posting a YouTube video on all of these good and bad issues I’ve experienced on my channel soon.
We had a wonderful time in crete and the Hotel was great. Espacially one bar, in the lower gardens, where one lovely guy "Lefteris" worked was our Favoriten place to go in the evening. He was so nice and we enjoyed our stay because of him. Every Thing Else was also more than good and WE Love to come there once again.
Tira and amber took a very good car to my daughter and the kids club was amazing for her !!! Thank you
Nikki Cassidy anezka kacey juju are absolutely amazing and such good energy! Loved doing the quizzes with them all too. Would definitely come back to this hotel if they are here in the future! They made this holiday what it was! Absolutely fantastic!!
Our Stay at the Hotel Sept 2026 On arrival, we were very pleased to be upgraded as returning guests to a suite with its own pool, which was lovely and a real highlight of our stay. There was also another small pool on the grass area outside the rooms. However, I do feel the suites would benefit from some privacy glass between the pools, as there currently isn’t much privacy between them. A self-service bar in the corridor near the suites would also be a great addition, as it is quite a long walk from this area to the main bars. Unfortunately, our first experience at the bar wasn’t particularly welcoming. We went to get a drink on arrival and, despite there being six members of staff behind the bar, nobody acknowledged us, even though they looked at us. Eventually, a young lady noticed us and served us. We do like this hotel, which is why we chose to return, although you definitely need to be prepared for lots of steps. Sadly, this time we didn’t find the staff particularly friendly, which was disappointing. Customer service can make such a difference to the overall holiday experience. The food was also warm at best on many occasions. I struggled most evenings to find something I really enjoyed, although I appreciate that food is very subjective and you can’t please everyone. The pool bar had a good selection of food and it was varied and plentiful, but again, it was generally only warm rather than hot. There is a nice selection of self-service drinks available around the pools, which is very convenient. We also had no problem getting a sunbed during our stay, which was definitely a big positive. Speciality Asian Restaurant We also attended the speciality Asian evening, which unfortunately was another disappointing experience. The atmosphere was very poor, with most of the staff appearing miserable and unwelcoming. The only exception was a young man delivering the drinks, whose name I believe was Antonio, who was pleasant and friendly. We were given just four prawn crackers as a starter between the four of us, which felt rather disappointing. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was neither particularly enjoyable nor served warm. There was also very little atmosphere, which made the whole evening feel flat and unenjoyable. Sadly, this was another occasion where we left feeling disappointed, especially as we had been looking forward to trying the speciality restaurant. Speciality Greek Restaurant We also visited the Greek speciality restaurant, and thankfully this was a much more positive experience when it came to the food. The food was lovely and, importantly, it was hot. Unfortunately, the service was again disappointing, with several of the staff appearing rather miserable. A few of them also seemed to be the same staff we had encountered at the Asian restaurant a few nights earlier. Getting a second drink proved particularly difficult. We asked the same waiter four times for a refill before eventually receiving one. It did leave us with the impression that perhaps more attention was being given to selling wines that weren’t included in the all-inclusive package rather than looking after guests who were simply asking for another included drink. Entertainment The entertainment was a bit hit and miss during our 11-night stay. On two occasions, we experienced singers performing almost entirely in German. On one occasion, this was on the outside stage and appeared to be for a coach group. On another occasion, the entertainment was held around the bottom pool and food area. On the second occasion, we felt it would have been much more appropriate for the entertainment to have been held upstairs on the main stage. It continued for over three hours from around midday and was again entirely in German. The crowd became so large that other guests struggled to find somewhere to sit and eat their lunch from the pool bar. Overall, we did feel that the hotel was catering much more towards its German guests during our stay. Of course, we completely understand that the hotel welcomes guests from many different nationalities, but it was disappointing to feel that other nationalities weren’t always being given the same consideration when it came to the entertainment and overall holiday experience. Beach Shuttle There is a shuttle bus to the beach, which is useful, but unfortunately it only runs twice a day. We feel this could definitely be improved, as a more frequent service would make it much easier for guests to get to and from the beach. Hotel App I also think the hotel app could do with a little tweaking to make it more useful. For example, it would be helpful if the speciality restaurants displayed their menus on the app. The bars could also show their drinks menus, particularly the cocktails, along with details of what is and isn’t included in the all-inclusive package. This would save guests a lot of time queuing at the bars just to find out whether a particular drink is included. Overall Overall, we still like the hotel and enjoyed parts of our stay. We obviously like it enough to have returned, and our suite upgrade was a lovely surprise. However, there were several things during this stay that left us disappointed, particularly compared with our previous experience. The friendliness and attentiveness of some staff, the temperature of the food, the entertainment arrangements and the feeling that some nationalities were being catered for more than others all affected our overall experience. We do feel that with a little more attention to customer service, food temperature, entertainment for all nationalities and some small improvements to the facilities and hotel app, the overall experience could be much better. We would still consider returning, but we would hope to see some improvements on our next visit.

He was so nice and we enjoyed our stay because of him. Every Thing Else was also more than good and WE Love to come there once again.
