Blue Lagoon Queen

Gorgeous hotel! Lovely modern and exceptionally clean. Would not hesitate to stay here again if we return to Halkidiki. We love that Blue Lagoon in Kos but this one is even better

My family and I just got back from the Blue Lagoon Queen and we had a fantastic holiday!! I'm 18 and travelled with my parents, older sister and my two younger brothers and we all had the best time. Water park is brill especially and the water sports on the beach although not the cheapest theh are good fun. I don't normally so reviews but I'm shocked this place doesn't have a higher Tripadvisor rating although other platforms it does. My mum and sister were a bitworried before we booked but honestly everything was to an excellent standard. Looks like most of the lower star reviews are from when this place first opened

Our 3rd visit as a family and another year of pure relaxation. The hotel has beautifully kept gardens and everywhere is spotlessly clean this has been consistent from the very first year it opened. The reception area is stunning with its beautiful fish installation hanging in the entrance! We had a family room with 2 bedrooms there is plenty of storage and super comfortable clean beds. We also received a complimentary fruit platter as we were returning guests. This was very welcome after such an early flight in. One of the huge advantages to this hotel is that there are zero sunbed wars! There are plenty of sunbeds to go around and because there are various pools to choose from it never feels overcrowded. I also want to give a big thank you to all the bar staff during the day and evening they go above and beyond to make our holiday feel special they even remembered my daughter from previous and what she likes to drink! We were lucky enough to try all the à la carte restaurants this time and all were to our satisfaction. It’s just nice to be waited on rather than helping yourself at the buffet. Lots of guests often complain about the location of this hotel saying that it’s too remote,for us this really doesn’t bother us as we love this hotel to completely switch off. It really depends on what suits everyone individually. To be on your own part of the beach is lovely too as again there are always plenty of sunbeds! You do need sea shoes getting in and out of the sea as it is stony but beautiful clear waters and very warm too. To sum it up we will be returning again in 2027 as it feels like home from home to us. Absolutely fantastic, I’ve stayed at some nice places but this is stunning, beautifully designed huge complex. Staff are so friendly and very nature, they can’t do enough for you, still here now but have to write this for anyone that sees the stupid comments like the pool shuts early, no it dosent it closes at usual European time about 18.00, life guards on, kids are allowed to use blow up toys/lilos but sensibly as I would expect any parent to expect or the life guards will intervene. Beach is a cross a road which I was expecting to be some sort of main road with what I’ve read, this is not the case, it’s more of a through road very quiet and has a crossing, no issues there. Food quality fantastic, if anyone claims its repetative it’s because they are getting every food item available on one plate, it’s perfectly fine and lovely food, if you or your kids are picky eaters there’s lots of pasta, chips, nuggets and freshly made pizza (which is properly made pizza dough), vegan food available . The view on these pics is from our room 1276 2nd floor, main pool, huge and lots of sunbeds. At the front side of the hotel is the water slide pool, amazing for kids, slides great, kid friendly food, slushies. The rooms are beautifully decorated you can order drinks to your sun beds using the app and WiFi connection is great, 100% recommend.

Went as a family of 6- 4 adults and 2 children 3 and 5. Rooms were spotless and very modern-definitely the nicest Greek accomodation we've had. Plenty of space in 2 bed family room. Rooms cleaned every day and towels changed daily too. Snacks and drink selection were good. Lots to choose from. Pool and water park bar/ snack staff were all lovely. Main restaurant was fine. Plenty of choice lots of repetition but not a bad thing for us as children fussy. They did have some slightly different dishes each night too. Has a kids corner with plastic cups and plates which was good too. Only managed to get in one of the a la carte restaurants which was OK but would have loved to have tried both. Food was fine here but wouldn't say it was much better quality than main restaurant. Service was good though. Pools had plenty of sun loungers. Used their free towel service which you could change whenever you wanted which was great for around pool and beach. Life guards in the hotel were fine. The pool rules very strange. No splashing or inflatables allowed yet inflatables everywhere which was not an issue at all for us. No jumping in either which they are definitely strict about. My biggest upset was the lifeguards in the splash park. Both of my children are water babies and within seconds of my three year old going down a slide in the splash park they were blowing their whistles and demanding to know how old she was. I didn't lie and said 3 and they said she had to be 5. I wanted to make people aware of this as I didn't know this was the case. She is a stronger swimmer than some that were on there! They were also not consistent as we saw adults going down with their children which we were told we couldn't and also children younger than our daughter going down and not being told not to. On the larger slides I also saw a girl struggling to swim and the life guard just blew her whistle rather than going to help her. Think she didn't want to get wet. Our children did love the lazy river. Daughter didn't even want to go on the one small slide that she was able to. If you have a child below 5 I would not recommend going to the splash park for the slides. Kids entertainment was fine and our 2 enjoyed it although very repetitive. Would return but definitely not until both children over 5.
