Blue Lagoon Queen

This hotel is very new and very clean but We stayed the first few weeks of September the swimming pool was absolutely freezing. We paid extra for a swim pool as the water was so cold we never used the pool. It was like a challenge From I’m a celebrity. The food was very repetitive, as was the entertainment. Everything in the hotel stopped at 10 o’clock in the evening. Also, hotel is miles from anywhere the the nearest village is €30 away in a taxi.

Just returned from a week at this hotel. Suited us as we wanted a chilled week by the pool. if you want lots to do and see locally, this place is not for you. Positives were the food, friendly staff, good rooms and air con. Drinks were acceptable as All Inc goes and snacks were available from 10 till 6. Italian al a carte restaurant was fully booked all week but managed to book the Greek al a carte, which was very good. Robes and slippers provided in the rooms and pool towels provided on site which you could exchange. Never attended the evening entertainment but there was live music in the bar every night which was quite good. Plenty of pools and sunbeds with tables and shades and free sunbeds on the gritty sand beach. Negatives are, no outside toilets around the pools. you either had to go back to your room or to the single indoor one which meant going downstairs on tiled steps that got slippery when wet. No toilets upstairs in the main building which houses the main restaurant and main bar. Again you had to go downstairs. No bar facilities in the indoors entertainment area, which was downstairs. Great for the toilets but you had to go upstairs to the bar for drinks. The indoor pool was not heated. Blackout curtains in the room are good, but there is a large glass panel in the en suite which allows full daylight in through the en suite window. Considering this hotel is only 2 years old these things beggar belief. Despite these things, we enjoyed the week, which was a last minute deal, but not sure if we would stay here again.

Where do I start? Arrived at the hotel? Got to say it looks fantastic as a new build. Everything looks great. Firstly the food is not even awful. It’s unedible. It is cold to the point. It is that bad. You really cannot eat it. There is not much choice either. We was here for less than 24 hours and my grandson had not eaten one thing because he only eats hot food Hotel staff also admitted there was a problem with how the food is heated to the point I gave all nine of us a band to the sister upgrade Hotel next door, which is the blue lagoon princess which means we would have full access to the food areas and full access to their Hotel then it became apparent. We was not the only ones complaining about food. There was lots of members of the people what arrived when we did but also had bands to go Next Door because of the same problem, i.e. the food. The tui wrecks in the Queen Hotel were very dismissive and unhelpful with any problems or concerns we had but I’ve got to say when we had concerns we did address the two reps at the lou Lagoon princess which was more than helpful and did help. Just another thing for families what are coming? You’re not allowed anything inflatable in the pool you’re not allowed to jump in the pool. I don’t mean dive. I mean a child is not allowed to jump in the pool. They have to step down. You’re not allowed to run by the pool or anywhere near it. It feels like the whole place is you’re not allowed. I do not cater for disabled faculties. The waterpark has more rules and regulations and yes it may be to keep people safe. Wow, that was their excuse. It felt like I was in a concentration camp was not allowed to move to or breathe and as for the food what is in the Aquapark snack bar? Just be aware it’s all pre-done. It is that is also cold the ones what they get out of so called over is also cold the only way you will get anything warm as if they make it in front of your eyes but good luck with that. I feel like they have absolutely ruined this holiday for our family entertainment is rubbish. There is nothing in the hotel where they’re willing to do anything with you. They just walk around on their phones and that is including the life guard but they’re okay to mess around by the pool but apparently you’re not allowed to go by the pool orif you wanna jump in. I would not recommend this Hotel for anything. I actually am struggling to find any good points about the Hotel we’re still here. I feel like I’m stuck and can’t wait to get home. I would avoid this place at all. Cost one other thing there is nothing outside the hotel not one thing you are literally trapped there is no nowhere to walk nowhere to go. The nearest supermarket is a 30 to 40 minute walk away. The entertainment is rubbish. I’ve been too many Greek islands and mainland. There is not one thing about this hotel what gives Greek holiday or Greek vibes? And there is two toilets in the entire hotel but you can use if you’re not by your room and both of them are underground so if you’re disabled, I have mobility issues as we have a wheelchair and people with mobility issues in our party do not come they do not cater for anything like this. Coming as a family of known people also I travel a lot and I have never ever been anywhere and made to feel the way we have on this holiday. I feel like it’s been a total waste of money. And all you get is I can’t speak English staff are just unhelpful almost really pointless out. I’m very rude. I get it might be coming to the end of the season but we’ve still all paid good money to come here.

Hotel spotless, lovely rooms, we had private pool room and couldn’t fault , very clean, lovely position overlooking the sea - beach bar staff were great and really friendly and this is where the positives stop I’m afraid - when me and my husband book 5 star holidays, we expect 5 star service and this certainly isn’t the case at the blue lagoon queen, the restaurant experience is like a canteen - pretty much help yourself - find your own table, no one assisting you - absolutely no customer service at all - you even have to go find your own drinks and for an evening meal - for 5 stars this is not acceptable even for all inclusive - staff just wanted to clear up - no interaction with guests - one evening we were having our meal and all we could hear was staff scrapping plates and clearing up not what you want to hear when trying to enjoy an evening meal - this experience may work for families who have children that want to eat and just get out but certainly not for couples who want to enjoy a meal - breakfast was also disappointing- no omelet station just pre cooked omelet again very disappointing for 5 stars - coffee and orange juice not great but we went to the bar to order our breakfast drinks which were better- the evening entertainment for adults is ok, the lovely couple who entertained in the main bar - singer and saxophonist where great but the atmosphere was lacking - no mood lighting in the bar - was like a conference room bright lights and very uncomfortable. All in all not a 5 star experience

We have just come back from an amazing two week holiday. The hotel is located in a quiet location alongside two other hotels. The staff really welcome you and make you feel special. The reception staff are very welcoming Chara had an amazing smile to welcome us. The restaurant manager Athena is very friendly and always around the different restaurants. Christos, Ellaine and Vasiliki were extremely attentive and knew our drinks. The pool bar has great friendly staff who are always smiling and friendly quick to get your drinks prepared including Miss Nedi, Demitris and Elena. There are a selection of pools with some quieter than others. They all have lifeguards around, including twin brothers Vaza and Levan, who are always very friendly and helpful to everyone. The main bar staff are a great team Christos, Christian, Evagelos, Glen, Renmaart and Melchor very friendly and work very hard to know your drinks. The rooms are very spacious and lovely views of the pools and hotel. The housekeepers work very hard to get the rooms cleaned daily. There are plenty of sun loungers around the different pools. The beach is only a short walk with more sun loungers on. If you like going in the sea, bring some beach shoes as there are alot of stones, before getting to the sand. The a la carte menus for the two restaurants are really good. The buffet restaurant has a great variety of food for everyone's taste. There is even a child's section with a chocolate fountain to light up little and big eyes. The entertainment team work really hard throughout the day around the pool and again in the evening with a different show each night with singing and dancing with Valerie leading the team. Jikki and Keira are amazing dancers and Alessia is a great singer. Dario and Guilla are in the main bar 5 nights a week, singing and playing the saxophone. A great partnership who will play or sing requests. I would recommend this hotel to families and couples. Thank you again for an amazing holiday
