I recently returned with a party of 7. The hotel is absolutely amazing and we couldn’t find one fault. Always sunbeds available, and multiple pools you can sit around, no problem getting a sunbed anytime of the day. Multiple restaurants you can choose from and there was always something for someone. We wasn’t too keen on the entertainment, so we used to walk down to the beach bar(Poseidon Pool Bar) where there was also a roof top bar. You can use inflatables in the pools and the lifeguards are so friendly. The bar staff in the main bar are very pleasant and helpful, a big shout out to the bar man Christian who went above and beyond to help, nothing was too much trouble. The beach is lovely, a bit pebbly as you 1st walk into the sea, but fine after that, sea was warm. There is nothing else nearby but we were aware of this when we booked the holiday. Will definitely return, had a lovely relaxing holiday.

This is based on my own personal opinions, others may say harsh but I honestly don’t believe this hotel to be a 5*, more 4* if anything. So I have been to various Blue Lagoon group resorts, so if this is a 5* then the standard needs to get better. Postives: The room I had (1223) was great. Plenty of space, few more hangers but that’s generally the same for all hotels. Bathroom is large (unlike the one in the BL resort Kos) . Good size balcony to chill on. Would be nice to get a lounger chair but not a negative. The place itself is spotless, lovely and clean and the staff, well the majority are brilliant and really friendly (will come onto that in a bit). The pools are good size and as I am here now, plenty of loungers. Negatives: minor ones, which don’t bother me BUT if you are having them as rules you should adhere to them. There is a rule that if you don’t use the sunbed for 20mins the towels and belongings would be removes. I needed to meet the rep so asked the lifeguards, reception, TUI rep and animation team who is responsible for managing this 20min rule - no one knew ? Looking around people (not many) are leaving towels out in the mornings, and this is not being managed - so who is responsible for this ? Same as with the dress code in the evenings in the restaurant- no vests / swimwear or flip flops yet people are wearing these - again no one pulling people up on it. The main problem with the latter one is there doesn’t seem to be a restaurant manager walking around, welcoming people, showing to tables as they do at the BL village and other hotels I’ve been to. People just come and go as they please. My main issue here is the food. It is so repetitive - every lunch is the same, and the evening - every night they have spaghetti bolognaise, pizza, gyros. Same salad selection. Nothing changes. And I’m sorry to say but it is luke warm, not hot at all. This is not what I would want expect from a 5* resort. Breakfast could be more adventurous - omelette station, instead of dried blocks of omelette. In the evening a carvery section of various meats. Even a selection of various curries/chillies or traditional Greek (not just gyros) food - didn’t even see a moussaka. Seriously disappointed in the food and quality of it But finally, on check-in I was taken aback by the way the lady questioned that I was travelling solo - is this not something you accept at this resort ? The way she said it to me made me feel belittled. As mentioned the postives are there and sort the food options and quality out and I believe you would be the same as other BL resorts i have visited. I’m at the BL village, Kos In October - looking forward to that just hope I won’t be questioned for travelling solo.

Bit isolated but you can walk a good distance down by the beach, every thing seems well managed other than meal times in the main restaurant which is a bit chaotic with no staff member at front of house and tables needed to be cleared by ourselves ( more staff ). Food ok with plenty of choice but drinks situ not the best due to no table waiters so a lot of people walking around carrying there own, also queues form at the main bar thou staff there do work hard & happy to serve. The pools are fab as is the waterpark which we all very much enjoyed. Rooms all good and the beds are are excellent, sunloungers always available and all areas are spotlessly clean. I was surprised there didn't appear to any bike hire availability. Overall we had a great holiday but probably wouldn't return.
