TUI BLUE Lagoon Princess

Not what we expected and wish we stayed in the uk. Beach on tui website is described as sandy, but it feels like grit and has large stones when entering the sea. This is not a sandy beach if you're going on holiday for a beach holiday. The worst part about the sea we saw jelly fish which we was told was harmless, but then the workers would net them up and put them in bin bags alive, which I found cruel. Entertainment on the evenings was below average and not what we expected in a 5 star hotel. We enjoyed the food at the buffet and found a great variation every night. The child found counter was a bonus and my child always found something to eat. All staff in the restaurant was polite and helpful. The cocktails where nice, but we was highly disappointed to see we had to pay for certain cocktails, which we didn't expect in an all inclusive. My child wanted a strawberry and lemonade and we was charged 7 euros. Rooms where clean and beds where comfortable. Cleaners did a great job. Location was what we expected, but we wouldn't return to the hotel due to the beach and lack of entertainment, which makes our holiday. I feel some of the staff were rude, especially in some of the bars. It was a disappointing experience for a 5 star hotel and feel this hotel is a 3 star at best.

Misleading description as this hotel is quite remote. We needed transport to explore more widely. Limited choice of tavernas nearby - should you fancy something typically Greek. Hotel itself was immaculately clean. Our suite was spacious and the bed really comfy. The atmosphere was ok. Evening entertainment was low key, which suited us. There were quite a few children, which is expected in a family hotel, however playing football in the reception wasn’t great. Also children running around late at night whilst parents were in the bar. The buffet choices at breakfast were good. I felt that the lunchtime buffet at the taverna was the best. However, eating at the Taverna à la carte in the evening was poor. We felt rushed and the food was not great. Chicken inedible the evening we went. The beach was lovely, although the sun beds were not particularly comfortable. A bit of a padded mattress wouldn’t go a miss. Was it value for money. Yes. Was it 5*. Absolutely not. On the whole we did enjoy our week - would I return? possibly yes but I’d need to hire a car.

This is meant to be a 5 star resort and I would say the food is more of a 3 star rating see below issues, The breakfast is the same everyday, most mornings the croissants are burnt. The kids buffet is the same thing every night, fish fingers, nuggets, chips and pasta this is not acceptable choices every single night of the week, considering you have a healthy eating concept at the hotel for the kids, this is not acceptable. The lunch at the tavern was awful, I can’t even say much more about it, was just not nice at all. The lunch at the green and grill is actually quite nice BUT it is the same thing every single day, it has not changed for the last 9 days other than what goes in the creamy sauce, it is pork and chicken gyros, pork or chicken schnitzel, spaghetti bolognaise, carbonara, pizza, soup, salad every single day. The buffet dinner is very samey and all in hot plates, bland, overcooked and just not nice, couldn’t tell you what theme any night is. The x2 al a carte restaurants are not al a carte, firstly you have to preorder a day before you go, it’s not of a high quality like an al a carte should be, it’s was awful in both restaurants but green and grill was slightly worse on al a carte the lamb chops were cremated and the chicken burgers were chewy couldn’t even bite through them. Other 5 stars resort’s I have been to have meat/fish grilling stations so it’s cooked fresh not sat in a warming plate, an omelette station in the mornings so can have something a little different cooked fresh. Some adjustments need to be made to make it a nicer experience, food is a huge part of a holiday, Greece is known for fresh ingredients, there is nothing fresh about the food in the warming plates. The food is that bad for my 11 night stay so I have hired a car for 2 days, walked 20 minutes to a gyros restaurant, walked 15 minutes to the crazy saloon, got a taxi to nea Moudania just so I did not have to eat at the hotel, for an all inclusive holiday on top of the £7000 I spent on the holiday I spent an additional €1200 on eating out and days out. This in not acceptable we booked TUI as TUI has a reputation and we have never had any issues before but this TUI hotel is not acceptable you should not be advertising this as 5 stars as it is certainly not 5 star quality. On a plus side the hotel is very clean, pools are nice, staff are friendly, it really is just the food that lets it down and its such a shame. I hope they follow up on this as i did raise a formal complaint to Tui on site and the general manager of the hotel, so other people do not end up in the same situation as us.

We booked our 11-night stay through TUI BLUE Lagoon Princess and had a wonderful holiday from start to finish. We had an early morning flight and paid extra for a private taxi transfer, which we were very happy to do as we were travelling with two children. It meant we could get straight to the hotel without having to stop at other hotels along the way. On arrival, we were greeted by a really friendly and helpful receptionist, and we were very fortunate that our rooms were already ready for us. Our rooms were outstanding — beautifully clean, spotless and very well thought out. My husband and I stayed in a junior suite, while my daughter and her family had a family room with bunk beds. We were particularly impressed with how much thought had gone into the family room. There were plenty of sockets and even individual night lights for each of the bunk beds, which was such a great touch. I can honestly say that we all slept really well throughout our stay, and there was very little noise, which made for a very relaxing holiday. The staff throughout the complex were exceptional. Everyone was polite, friendly and genuinely eager to help whenever needed. I would especially like to mention Sheila and Raymond in the restaurant, and Costus at the outside bar. Their service was outstanding and they really helped make our stay so enjoyable. The food was very good, with a great choice available. The puddings were exceptional and definitely deserve a special mention! There are several lovely pools, and we never had any problem finding sunbeds, which was a real bonus. The beach is literally a two-minute walk away, and again, we had no difficulty finding sunbeds. Overall, we had a fantastic 11-night stay and would happily return. The excellent staff, beautiful rooms, great facilities and convenient location made this a holiday we will remember fondly. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Just came back from this hotel and i don’t know how it is a 5 star at all. The positives were the place was clean, my room was nice and I wasn’t bored. The snack shack was good and the pool was good too but sadly the food was so poor. The ‘à la crate’ restaurant was horrendous. I had the burger which was the worst burger I’ve ever had and would have preferred a Rustlers burger to that. The buffet restaurant was not nice at all, the food was cold a lot of the time and I didn’t enjoy any of the food in there either. Zero table service for a 5 star is mad and you had to queue for a drink when eating your dinner which was just a waste of time. Never had that before on any holiday but to be fair, the service by the pool and the evening area were really good. When we arrived at the à la carte restaurant at 5:55pm, the staff wouldn’t let us sit down until 6pm or have a drink in the heat until 6 which was strange when we were the only booking and also wouldn’t let a group of, us as an 8, move two tables together when as I said, we were the only booking and no one else was there so I don’t really get the hassle. The drinks weren’t actually all inclusive (this is not stated on the website funnily enough) you actually had to pay 12 euros for a lot of drinks even if you were all inclusive as I was, which was annoying as I’ve never had that before on any holiday over all the years. ALL of the alcohol is unbranded and cheap rubbish. None of us even were even getting drunk. When we arrived, we weren’t allowed to check in as our room wasn’t ready and this was really annoying as it took 2 hours which is mental to me. Our air con didnt work and neither did our fridge (our room was lovely though) and the Handyman came and ‘fixed’ it but didn’t do anything really. This is the worst tui blue I’ve been to and would not come back.
