La Marquise

Just returned from 2 weeks in the Adults only section on an all inclusive basis. First impressions are everything and we were not disappointed the place is very eye catching and very grand. We were driven to our room in a golf buggy through the immaculate grounds to our very spacious room overlooking the Adults pool. The area is well maintained with plenty of sun loungers and a well stocked pool bar managed superbly by Carlos and George. The only downside is that the pool is very cold. We ate breakfast at the À la Carte restaurant which was really nice on the top floor of the Hotel where they prepared your eggs to your liking with a buffet for everything else, the staff were extremely efficient and friendly. We ate at the À la Carte restaurants at night all of which served up fantastic dishes. Gents can wear tailored shorts at the À la Carte places. We also ate out in Faliraki several nights as there are some gorgeous Tavernas there, but it goes get busy later on at night. Getting around is easy as there are regular buses to Rhodes town and Faliraki. The hotel beach is ok but take sand shoes. There are plenty of really comfy lounges on the beach and the sea is lovely and warmer than the pools. There is also a beach bar but owing to beach tax laws is not part of the AI package. The main crystal bar is very nice and the staff are brilliant, there is also a rooftop bar which is good and has entertainment several nights a week which is ok. All in all we had a fantastic 2 weeks , the accommodation is spacious and immaculate with a very nice coffee shop in the middle which serves exceptional cakes. The main plus is the staff who are all very efficient and friendly but I have to give a special mention to George who works at the pool bar and Crystal bar who is very friendly with an enthusiastic likeable personality and Oxana who works in the Crystal bar and makes the most amazing cocktails especially her Baby Guinness and works tirelessly and always has a welcoming smile I would definitely recommend, the only downside for us was the cold pool

We stayed at La Marquise for one night after being unexpectedly relocated from Mitsis Faliraki. Our first impression was unfortunately not very good. The resort is very large and our room was quite far from the reception, to the point where using the shuttle was practically necessary. After arriving, we waited around 10 minutes for someone to help with our luggage and take us to the room, but nobody came. Eventually, we decided to leave and search for the room ourselves, walking around the resort with our luggage in the sun. Dinner was another unpleasant experience. We only had smart denim shorts with us, as we had packed according to the requirements of the hotel we had actually booked. We were not allowed to have dinner at the restaurant because La Marquise required long trousers. Considering that we had been transferred there unexpectedly, this made an already inconvenient situation even more frustrating. Another downside is the beach setup. The hotel does not have the same immediate beachfront access we expected, and getting there involves walking or using the shuttle. Drinks at the beach bar are also charged separately, which was disappointing for an all-inclusive stay. The resort itself looks nice, but our experience was heavily affected by the inconvenient layout, the lack of assistance on arrival and the dinner situation. For a 5-star resort, we expected the arrival experience and guest support to be much smoother.

My daughter and I shared a family two bedroom suite on the upper floor. The room was roomy very well equipped and clean. Plenty of room for friends or a family. At check-in, we were offered an upgrade which we accepted for the first night. It was allocated in the adult only section. The room was beautiful very romantic and very quite perfect for a couple but not for friends or family. This is just a personal preference. The staff were lovely there was no trouble letting us have our two bedroom room back and they moved the luggage with no fuss whatsoever. The food and drink was outstanding maybe one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve stayed at quite a few. What made it extra special was the fact that gluten-free diet was very well catered for and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff to point out the options for gluten-free. The coffee shop staff were so lovely and each day they would remember that I could only have gluten-free food. Thank you for a wonderful day. We will definitely return next year.

I traveled to La Marquise with my entire extended family (10 people) in June. This was our fourth visit to the hotel, and each time we have been truly pleased with both the hotel and the staff. We first visited the hotel in 2008. The staff are genuinely friendly, the surroundings are tidy, and the food is good. The atmosphere at the hotel is peaceful and serene. In my opinion, the hotel's standards haven't dropped at all over the past eight years. Our experiences have been excellent, and we are planning a one-week autumn trip for mid-October 2026. I warmly recommend La Marquise. It is an excellent destination for families and equally great for adults.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at La Marquise. The resort is stunningly beautiful and perfectly maintained. We stayed in a beautiful suite that was incredibly comfortable and very well taken care of throughout our entire stay. The dining experience was another highlight, the food was absolutely delicious and offered a great variety of choices every single day. We were very pleased with the high level of service throughout the resort. In particular, we really appreciated the excellent care from Erne in the restaurant, who made us feel very welcome. We had a great holiday and look forward to visiting again.
