Review We have just returned from our second stay at Plimmeri Atlantica, and I have been meaning to write this review ever since we got home! We first visited in 2023, but unfortunately our stay was cut short when we had to be evacuated because of the wildfires. We always knew we wanted to come back and properly experience the resort — and this time, Plimmeri absolutely did not disappoint! I honestly don’t know where to start. From the moment we arrived, the whole resort was spotless. You could see staff working tirelessly throughout the day to maintain the cleanliness, and on the whole, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive. I particularly want to mention Val, who was absolutely wonderful with my daughter. We found ourselves in a bit of a pickle when my daughter’s beloved soft toy became unstuck, and Val went above and beyond to help us with our very unique request for a sewing kit! She also worked in the shop and would regularly ask my daughter how her sloth was doing, which meant so much to her. Val really deserves a huge mention for her kindness, patience and genuinely caring approach. ❤️ Another thing I really wanted to praise was the resort’s attention to safety, particularly around the swimming areas. As parents, this gave us such reassurance and made us feel comfortable allowing our children a little more independence around the pools and slide areas, knowing there were staff keeping a close eye on things. That peace of mind is invaluable. Now, onto the food — and for us, this was probably one of the biggest highlights! The main restaurant had such a varied and lovely selection. Everything we tried was fresh and tasty, with a fantastic choice of salads, hot dishes and desserts. The pancakes and waffles at breakfast were particularly light and delicious and became a firm favourite in our family! The Italian restaurant was our favourite. The food was absolutely delicious, and the white chocolate risotto was so good that we had to go back for it again! As we were staying for two weeks, we had the option to revisit one restaurant, and there was absolutely no debate in our family — we chose the Italian! The Asian restaurant had only recently opened while we were there, and it was beautiful. The presentation was fantastic and the food tasted just as good as it looked. My daughter especially loved the beautifully carved vegetable decorations. We were also very lucky to be at the resort while a festival was taking place. The outdoor BBQ, entertainment and especially the fire show were incredible! And I cannot forget the wheel of Parmesan filled with creamy pasta — an absolute taste sensation! 😍 Our room was cleaned every day and was always spotless. We also had a shared pool, which was a lovely option when we wanted somewhere quieter to relax. Despite having this option, we never really struggled to find a sunbed around the pools, which was a very welcome change from many resorts! There was one small issue with our shared pool that I wanted to mention simply so it can hopefully be addressed for future guests. Some of the tiles had lifted, and on a few occasions other guests had stood on them and unfortunately cut their feet. Hopefully this can be repaired, as everything else around the pools was so well maintained. Another favourite of ours was the coffee house. We were lucky enough to be staying very close by, and we visited regularly! The frappes were delicious, the cold chocolates were a huge hit with the children, and the vanilla milkshakes were also a favourite. The banana bread and red velvet cake were delicious too! The only negative experience we had was with one particular member of staff there. On a number of occasions, her manner towards myself, my children and other guests came across as rude, and it actually put us off visiting when she was working. My children felt uncomfortable when they were questioned about ordering more than one drink because they were getting one for a friend outside, and on another occasion I was told off for not ordering cake at the same time as our drinks. I completely appreciate that staff have rules they need to follow, but I do think some additional customer-service training could help in this particular area. It really stood out because the overwhelming majority of staff throughout the resort were so friendly, attentive and welcoming. It certainly isn’t a reflection of the rest of the team. I also want to mention the General Manager, who we noticed was incredibly visible and involved throughout our stay. He was regularly around at dinner speaking with guests, including returning guests, and it was lovely to see how personally he interacted with people — almost as though he was welcoming them back as family. He was also present during the festival and other entertainment, clearly getting involved rather than simply observing from a distance. Interestingly, when we were evacuated back in 2023, he was there then too, helping and supporting the smooth organisation of the evacuation. Seeing the same hands-on approach again this time really stood out to us. We also noticed a number of staff members who were there during our first visit in 2023. To me, that says something about the atmosphere and culture within the resort. Having happy, long-standing members of staff is a real credit to the management team, and I think that contributes hugely to the welcoming atmosphere guests experience. As long as that ethos continues, I think Plimmeri will continue to thrive. A final few special mentions: Christian, the bellboy, was incredibly attentive and friendly. He often picked us up on the way to and from the main resort and was always so helpful, particularly with all of our luggage. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble. And finally, Jocelyn and the spa team. I had quite a lot of interaction with the manager too, although I’m so sorry I didn’t catch her name. She was incredibly kind, approachable and informative. And Jocelyn — honestly, your facial and head massage were the best I have ever had! The whole spa experience was fantastic, and you made it feel so relaxing and special. So, after everything, I can honestly say that in our opinion, Plimmeri Atlantica is one of the best resorts we have ever stayed in. We came back because our first experience in 2023 was unfortunately cut short, and we left this time feeling so glad that we had returned. The combination of the beautiful resort, incredible food, cleanliness, safety, entertainment and — most importantly — the wonderful staff made it a holiday we will remember for a long time. Thank you to the whole Plimmeri team for helping us relax, enjoy amazing food and, most importantly, make some very special family memories. We will definitely be back! ❤️

The noise from the reception were quite annoying and loud, but Nicole did excellent and met my needs!

The hotel and all amenities were great. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Overall it was a great experience. We also had massage appointments at the spa. What a wonderful experience!

We were looking for a place where we could truly relax, enjoy some quality time together, and simply have fun, and this hotel delivered exactly that. From the atmosphere to the overall experience, we felt comfortable and able to switch off from everyday life. We really enjoyed our stay and made some great memories together. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and exactly the kind of relaxing getaway we were hoping for. We would definitely consider coming back in the future!
