Avalon Palace Hotel

Overall a lovely stay. * Clean and tidy * Nice 1st floor dining area over looking town below. Big choice at breakfast * Acceptable rooms with free safety deposit box, kettle and cups * Friendly cleaning staff providing regular towels and bedding * Lovely location with enjoyable walk up and down hill to main resort * Amazing pool area. Quiet, and relaxing with fabulous view from infinity pool * Great WiFi reception all round complex * Nice local supermarket 5 minutes walk away. Happy to come back for another stay.

We booked a suite with private pool. The suite was of excellent size, our bed was at the patio doors with access to the terrace with our private pool. We booked bed breakfast which suited our needs. We did enjoy a buffet evening at an extra charge which we thoroughly enjoyed. Zante town is only down the hill and we loved the village of Bochali 10/20 minutes uphill from the hotel. We have booked to go back next September, love the view from the private pool rooms and you have the option to dine in or in town. Great value for money, Each individual human beings experience will be different, especially when the world is a small place now - everyone has been everywhere!!

On the whole the hotel is very good and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a suite with a private swim up pool which was amazing. The buffet meals were good with the breakfast selection being vast and the evening buffet pleasantly simplistic offering enough choice without having to manage too many options. The hotel is a challenging walk to the town and would highly recommend a taxi which the front desk will arrange. Zakynthos is self is a sophisticated and well pointed town with plenty bars and restaurants without being loud and raucous like party town Laganas about 20 mins away. Positives: This is an adult only hotel and the view of Zakynthos bay is amazing. Negatives: The island seems to have an issue with wasps and the hotel is no different. Eating outside will be in the company of several. In summary, I would highly recommend and consider visiting again.

Great location, with a beautiful view from the rear of the hotel. All public areas were clean and pleasant. Our room was clean and of an acceptable standard, although dated. Daily room service was good. Pool towels provided daily. WiFi was free with a very good connection. The staff were excellent. Polite, helpful and friendly at all times. Breakfast was acceptable, I have no complaints. The evening meal was another matter. This fell well below what I would expect from a hotel with a four star rating. A limited food selection and a menu that hardly varied throughout our stay. The quality also left a lot to be desired. The hot food, wasn’t. This hotel was sold to us by TUI as an adult only hotel. This is incorrect, as children of all ages were guests.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Our room was comfortable and very clean with a safe, kettle, TV, bath and a shower. Staff were very friendly especially Efi, Boehena and Mirrella who welcomed us at breakfast and lunch, . Alex and Constantinos in the evening for dinner, always with a smile.
