Sea View Village

We stayed at the Sea View Village Zakynthos for 5 nights and it was the best hotel experience our group had ever had. Every single member of the staff went above and beyond to provide service to us. Maria the owner is the sweetest most caring lady who made sure we were accommodated for at all times. The bar staff, restaurant staff and breakfast staff were warm and constantly asking in a genuine way if there was anything they could do to further help our stay. You can really tell these employees care as every guest was so comfortable having long conversations them - we could’ve talked to Mark for hours! Our highlight of the stay however would have to be the Greek dance night we participated in on Sunday night. They bring in traditional dancers who perform and then teach you how to dance. It was the best environment with all the village guests dancing as well as the staff - it felt like a genuine Greek experience. On top of this we got fed a fractional Greek dinner before hand with a buffet of souvlaki 1000/10. As promised in their name the view was fantastic and you could even see the main land of Greece! The pool was another highlight for the warm summer days as they had comfy sun beds and umbrellas for shade! We also had lunch by the pool a couple days which was amazing. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re after a traditional Greek accommodation as well as a welcoming experience with the most amazing staff!! Maria is very proud of her beautiful “village” - and rightly so. Everything is quality - exceptionally clean and tidy. Our accommodation large and airy with stunning views through the pines to the bluest of blue sea. A truly peaceful haven set in the hills - the only noise we became aware of was the chirping cicadas in the trees and the cock crowing in the morning. A generous buffet style breakfast taken in the restaurant or sitting on the surrounding veranda provided a variety of local produce including the delicious village bread, thyme honey and local biscuits…..and Greek Coffee! We enjoyed a couple of dinners in the restaurant where the seasonal menu changed daily with some rather good local wines. Maria hosted a “Greek Night” which was good fun, plenty of freshly prepared meats, salad, potato and flatbread. Local musicians and dancers entertained us before being eagerly encouraged to join in. A good night was had by all. The pool and surrounding area again, pristine clean. Plenty of sunbeds with towels provided. An array of drinks available and snacks from the pool bar provided refreshments required and a daily “Happy Hour” gave the opportunity to try the “barman’s special cocktail” . Sea Village is happy, happy place - all the staff, smiling, chatty and accommodating. A daily transfer down to Kaminia Bay is offered - a peaceful beachside location with safe shelving swimming area and a choice of two bars providing sun beds on grassy tranquil areas. Within the vicinity of the village is a local well stocked supermarket and three tavernas which were all equally good. There is a local bus - limited timings but it got us into Zante Town and back. All in all we just couldn’t fault anything and would gladly recommend and hopefully return. We thank you all for your kindness making our holiday on Zante so memorable.

Sea View Village, Vasilikos is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. It is set on a delightful hillside giving beautiful sea views from most rooms. Acommodation is in four independant well maintained buildings and a fabulous swimming pool and pool bar in the centre. We were upgraded to a maisonette type appartment with a huge bedroom and massive bed, dressing table, bedside tables with drawers, a good sized wardrobe and ample clothes storage. There is a kitchenette with fridge/ freezer, toaster and kettle and tgere are plenty of electrical sockets. The shower room has a large walk in jungle shower with hand help attachment, washbasin & toilet. Double doors lead to a large shaded balcony with table & chairs, further chairs in the corner and a rattan double bench seat. Lovely views. The balcony doors also have a sliding insect net screen. On arrival the manager Maria made us most welcome as did the receptionist Anastasia. Maria gave us a guided tour of our room and explained the hotels layout. The dining room is superbly located overlooking the sea surrounded by pine & fig trees. Breakfast is a combination of continental with some hot dishes such as fried & scrambled eggs, mini frankfurters, sometimes beans or mushrooms but absoloutely plenty to choose from. Evening meals change daily and prices are competetive with the local restaurants. The mealtine staff are lovely and Josephine stopped every morning for a chat. The swimming pool is brilliant', extremely cleaned & well maintained. Towels are placed on the sunbeds for people to use. We never had a problem getting a sunbed, the busiest time of day was around 4pm when guests came back from the beaches (hotel does a mini bus drop off at 11am, pick up 4pm.) The guys behind the bar were always smiling & attentive & we learned a lot chatting to them about Albania & Ukraine, always a welcome We cannot fault the hotel it is marvellous. Best tip is hire a car & explore the island too. Without a car there is not much to do or get to

Had a wonderfully relaxing week here, it really is a gem of a find for those wanting simplicity done really well. Clean room with a comfy bed and lovely little balcony overlooking the sea. The pool area had plenty of choice of sunbeds (could be the time of year though, we went in September). One of the real highlights is the quality of the food, a good choice of traditional Greek dishes every evening and the wait staff are genuinely warm and friendly. I was a little concerned about the hotel being on a fairly steep road from the beach but many people did walk - we took advantage of the hotel’s shuttle bus driven by lovely Anastasia. Happy hour between 3-5pm became a regular treat for me, enjoying a cocktail (or two!) by the pool became a daily highlight!
