Our stay at Tsamis Zante Resort was absolutely wonderful. From the beautiful location and breathtaking views to the peaceful atmosphere, everything was perfect. Our room was lovely, spotless, and cleaned beautifully every day, with a private pool and an incredible ocean view. The sea was absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear turquoise water and a charming little beach right in front of the resort — truly one of the most beautiful and romantic settings we have ever experienced. We loved the resort’s amenities, including the multiple pools and the small gym, and the food was delicious. What made our experience even more special was the adults-only atmosphere. The resort is quiet, private, and peaceful, which allowed us to completely relax and enjoy several days of tranquility. The hotel also gave us excellent recommendations for excursions and boat trips, allowing us to explore Zakynthos and create some truly beautiful memories. We truly loved our time at Tsamis Zante Resort. It was romantic, relaxing, peaceful, and unforgettable. We highly recommend it and will definitely return!

Both my mum and I found our recent stay here very disappointing. Our biggest issue was the room. Having stayed in the superior suite, we were not entirely sure what was superior about it. It offered no privacy at all in terms of showering and going to the toilet, there being no partition between these facilities and the rest of the room. It felt as though the bed was in the bathroom. The shower had no door or screen on it so it felt very exposing and quite cold! It also meant the curtain on the patio door had to be closed leaving the room dark or having to have quite garish lights on whilst showering. (The lighting in the room overall felt quite garish and bright, it could do with much softer lighting). My mum would either have to go onto the patio or lie on the bed, as there was a small piece of frosted glass at the end of the bath, so I could be afforded some privacy whilst showering. Even with a couple I think this would be quite annoying and impractical! The toilet was in a tiny box like space with a sliding door made of frosted glass which offered equally subpar levels of privacy, able to see someone’s outline whilst they were on the toilet certainly does not scream luxury. I am very surprised no other reviews mentioned any of these issues!! Aspects of the room were also really quite worn down. The shower was rusty and leaking and there was an odd blue mark down the shower wall. The pedal bin in the very small toilet ‘box’ (which I referred to as the frosted box of shame) was old and rusty and could have done with replacing. The bottles of soap bolted to the wall made our hands very dry, we felt maybe it was not the same soap as it said on the label. The towels were not great either. The room did not feel 5 star at all. In addition, the lounger by the private pool was heavily stained and ripped at the bottom, the only available drying rack a mouldy chair with 3 rungs to lie small pieces of clothing on. It could only fit one towel on. Regardless of privacy, the room was not practical in any sense of the word. The sinks and bath took up half the room and the proximity of them to the bed meant getting up the go to the toilet in the night and washing your hands would inevitably disturb the other person. Because of the nature of the room, we never really felt like we could properly relax and were both quite glad to go home! The whole spec of the hotel just felt quite run down. The reception was small, with very few seating options available if you were waiting for a transfer after checking out. There was one small bench, a hanging basket chair and 4 oddly placed cushions in the middle of the floor that I imagine would be very difficult to get back up from if you sat on them. There were also two clothing racks with dresses on in the reception that didn’t make much sense, no one appeared to be selling them and I wasn’t sure why they were there. They didn’t look particularly good quality either. The sun loungers by the pools (the hotel had 3 pools in various different sizes) also appeared weather worn and in need of replacing. There were no printed menus in any of the dining areas, I understand this from an environmental point of view but it just made things unnecessarily difficult. Wooden blocks with QR codes on were dotted about the hotel. However, most of them did not work as the blocks were worn down and my phone couldn’t register it as a QR code. One finally worked and I ended up saving the link so I didn’t have to keep spending ages getting my phone to register one of them. Additionally, information surrounding room services times and availability were very contradictory and we never got to the bottom of it. We were half-board. I would say the food was ok but certainly not the standard I expect from a 5 star hotel. The self-use juice presses available at breakfast seemed very impractical as it left sticky fruit juice all over the counter. There were a lot of wasps also around the outdoor eating area which wasn’t great. The hotel appeared to have been 2 different hotels at one point that were now one - the dining area was outside of the reception and across the road, these buildings felt like a completely different style to each other. Part of the walkway to the breakfast/dining area from the main hotel part had a very unpleasant smell which I kept hoping would go away each day but never did. The staff were generally friendly, in particular a staff member at breakfast who would always remember our names and room number at breakfast and ask us how we were. However, the staff at reception were not very helpful at all. The nearby mini-market was not great however the people who owned it were friendly. The super market a little bit further down wasn’t really a supermarket, it was more of another mini- market to be quite honest. It was ok but did not have much variety. The nearby beach was pretty disappointing. It was mostly road with very small slice of sand. There were a few sun loungers but you had to pay 10 euros to sit on one. The sea itself was beautiful. The location of the hotel in general wasn’t very good, very remote. Would certainly need a vehicle to get anywhere. There did not seem to be any taxis nearby. There are so many things that could be addressed to improve this hotel. I feel it could do with a lot of work and some more efficient management! There is much potential but I feel it is entirely wasted. It certainly did not feel like a 5 star hotel, which was particularly disappointing considering the price. I do not think it was very good value considering our experience. The hotel doesn’t appear to respond to any reviews on here which I do not think is a good sign. Due to this, I cannot recommend this hotel. We certainly will not be returning.

I’ve just got back from a 5 day stay at this hotel with my daughter and overall we both found it quite disappointing. We stayed in a superior suite with a private pool. I find it a bit annoying that hotels now appear to get away with calling a room a ‘suite’ when it really isn’t. A suite should have a completely separate area which this room did not, even the bathroom was not separate (more of that later) it simply had a (very uncomfortable) 2 seater sofa and a small table with 2 dining chairs. That’s pretty standard in a lot of hotel rooms. I’m not really sure what made it ‘superior’ either. On the website the size seems to be the main difference between a junior and superior suite but the increased size of the superior seems to be mainly taken up with the bath’room’. Which brings me to my main issue with the room in that there was no partition between the bathroom area and the bedroom. I’m really surprised there aren’t more comments on Trip Advisor reviews about this as it was a significant issue for us. Never mind the privacy side of things, it’s just not practical. If you have to get up in the night to use the ‘bathroom’ , because it’s not separate the whole room is lit up, and the noise of flushing toilets and running taps is disturbing the other person in the room. Also, the room felt humid/damp and it was impossible to dry anything. The bathroom area was so large and imposing it actually felt like the bed was in a bathroom. Very odd and not conducive to a relaxing holiday. The other thing I had a major issue with was the lack of information. There was no file of information in the room as there usually is. Just a few cards with snippets about towel laundering (encouraging you to only do it when necessary but had to be every day as there was nowhere to dry them in the damp atmosphere) and the cost of a new coffee pod (another irritation of mine, hotels see this as a way to make a quick buck). The info on their website was contradictory, on the same web page it said their room service menu was available 12:00 to 17:00 at one section then 12:00 to 18:00 at another and in a little laminated note in the room it said 12:00 to 22:00. Which is it?! I’m yet to find out what time check out is. And they weren’t for letting on what the menu actually was. There were no physical menus anywhere in the hotel, just wooden cubes with QR codes to scan to get the menus on your phone. But that didn’t work for me (despite having new model iPhone) and my daughter had to send me a link. But what if you don’t have your phone with you or you’re a technophobe?? It felt like they were almost encouraging you not to eat or drink in the hotel outside the breakfast and evening dining buffets. Which brings me to some of the positives, the food at said buffets was good. Dinner was different every night and there was plenty of choice. Breakfast was also good. We also found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Quite exceptionally so in the case of a few of them. The private pool was lovely and a good size though the furniture on the patio area was lacking with just a double flat sunbed and a very odd single wooden straight backed chair which was a bit mouldy and very uncomfortable to sit on. So there was nowhere to just sit and relax. Also, there was no pull out airer to dry things on though the rooms above us had one?!? Overall I felt with a few changes this hotel could be very good but it really isn’t at the moment and on that basis I can’t recommend it. I’ve given 3 stars but feel that’s quite generous give the cost of the hotel.
