AluaVillage Fuerteventura

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at Alua Village and have had a fantastic time. We decided to upgrade to My Favourite Club and were so glad we did. Having the Club Lounge and the room upgrades made everything feel that little bit more special. There was always a good selection of food available at mealtimes and snacks and drinks were available from the terrace and pool bar if required. The whole hotel was very clean and staff all worked hard to keep it that way. All the staff we dealt with were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. The pool areas were amazing, such a lovely space to relax and chill out with a book and a cocktail! Just wanted to say a big thank you to the entertainment team who were all amazing and worked really hard all day to provide activities around the pool and in the evening. There was so much to do if you wanted to but also a quieter, more relaxing area by the pool if you just wanted to chill. We did venture down to the beach a couple of times and the walk wasn't as bad as I was expecting from some of the reviews, just a couple of steep bits, but okay if you take it steady. And the beach was well worth the effort. Overall, a fantastic holiday in a lovely hotel. We have already started looking at when we can return!!

Hotel a bit tired, food okish, if you’re French you will be ok. Very very French, so much so, they dominated the hotel and were rude, entertainment crap and french. Staff not very friendly, Bjorn was VERY rude, he had a face like a slapped a…banging and slamming around when he was cleaning up. Fortunately we made friends with 2 other couples and had the best entertainment with them. If we hadn’t had met them, we would have been absolutely bored and prob be in bed by 9, as there was nothing else to do. You can’t even go for a walk out of the hotel, there is nothing around. We walked down to the beach on the first day to discover it was nudist beach full of old people. Yuk! Avoid! Def won’t be returning again. Oh and the gym was old, broken and dirty.

We are back after a 6th visit to this hotel. We just love it. The food, the beach, and the views. The staff are so hard working and friendly, from the reception staff when you check in, the waiting staff, the chefs, cleaners in the rooms and around the hotel, the garden/maintenance men and the entertainment team with a very special mention of Ozzy who is the one remaining constant member of staff from all visits. He makes such an effort to talk to everyone no matter the language you speak. Also the Manager is visibly seen and is welcoming, with a special thanks to him for my birthday message. The hotel is clean and the food in our opinion is fresh and tasty. The my favourite club at this Alua hotel is very good (we have experienced another hotel in a different place) and the difference is significant. Good choice of drinks and regularly replenished snacks. We hope To be back again. P and J.

Daily activities are good in the hotel but some areas need re-vamping. Our bathroom needed a complete overhaul & some areas needed maintenance. If you are in the bottom rooms, be prepared for a good leg work out to the hotel as its a steep walk. Night entertainment was poor. Nothing around the hotel so you need to catch a bus or taxi.

I was nervous about this hotel after reading so many bad reviews but honestly don't listen, the hotel its well maintained and lovely, 2 big pools, a short walk from the beach yes there's a hill but its not the end of the world takes about 10mins. The food was really good, I was amazed of all the selection they had to offer. Freshly made omelets in front of you and pancakes every day, lunch and dinner freshly made fish and meats varied. always had a dessert station and fresh salad station. fresh bakery section and bread. You could pour yourself your own beer sam magill and bottles of wine you could just take for the table! They also had a snack room which always had a selection of meats cheeses and pastry, sandwiches, hotdogs burgers ect....The only downfall I would say is the entertainment it is more catered towards the French, they do have an English interpreter who's English isn't great! We did watch a magic show and dance show which was really could but the entertainment don't start till 9.30PM which I think is late aha! Then they have a disco from 10.30pm onwards....They have a gym and spa sauna indoor heated pool which I used both every day and was lovely. Hotel is super clean and staff are friendly. You do need to keep your cups each days for drinks and they do get moody if you forget them so remember to take them each day just for the pool area this is though, not needed in the evening upstairs area you can have glasses.
