Barcelo Corralejo Sands

What a Gem, that's the resort and hotel, We've been to the canaries many times but never corralejo, the hotel is the best position next to bars and shops just off the main road, the hotel, staff very helpful and friendly, room's very spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the pool. The buffet restaurant had plenty of choice and well cooked, sweet's didn't all taste the same like some hotel's. We all had a massage in the wellness centre, all enjoyed it was so relaxing. No wonder people we talked to keep going back to this resort, it's Spot On we're definitely going back to this resort and hotel. Thank you Barcelo Sands.

First time staying here. The resort is one we like and been to before but chose a different hotel. 30 seconds walk to the main town which is buzzing and has a lovely atmosphere. Some lovely bars down by the harbour ten minutes walk. The hotel had a lovely pool, with either steps or slope for those needing easy access. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the food was good at the pool bar. We had a suite with pool view so had a nice big room. Walk in shower and a large bathroom too. Very comfy bed and cleaned every day. The evening entertainment was absolutely brilliant. Usually singers which we were all singing along with. We will certainly be returning. There was a kids area with separate pool and kids club which was ideal for families. We are a retired couple on our 60s so didn't have need for this but have attached a pic for those that may be interested. The daily entertainment guy was brilliant and was great with the kids.

Stayed in deluxe whirlpool room..Great to have own sunbeds..not as private as one would expect..other gueste have access to the balinese beds too which are in front of your terrace..very peaceful..our best hotel yet,have already booked again. Tons of food available..breakfast good..evening meal not so..too much strong,unfamiliar tastes in the otherwise great looking dishes..had to fill up on soup and bread rolls first..there was always pizza and chips..pleasant,friendly staff throughout the hotel..bathroom had a heavy,sliding glass door which closes by overlapping the wall and can trap (guillotine) ones fingers! Bed fantastic..Good standard of fitments..although wardrobe doors creaked loudly and wouldn't properly close..probably need adjustment..very good security entrance door..spacious, functional room but needs some shelves and wall decor to make a huge difference..as should happen,when the sliding terrace door is open it knocks off the air conditioning..no point in cooling down the Whole town! This comes back on when the door closes..a contact switch can be seen..minor gripes- having to pay for bottled water at evening meal and the safety deposit box..which was large. Oh, and as in All Spanish hotels..the light switches sometimes operate up instead of down..very clean hotel..most relaxing stay (out of 20 in some other hotels)..we won't stay anywhere else now..hope they can cook up some mashed potatoes, meat pies etc. Which I'd then give a 5 star rating!

My review is based on an honest traveller who does realise that not everything is perfect ,,,,,This was our 4th visit to this hotel over the yrs , the hotel is really clean and staff are great , the location is a perfect location for the area , the room (a suite) was excellent space wise , consisting of main bedroom and separate lounge /2nd bedroom both with TV’s(no English channels,my tip if you have a Firestick take it HDMI ports are easily accessed and wi-fi good ) ,has kettle and separate coffee maker also has a mini bar/fridge , air con is OK ,pool towels are provided in the room on arrival and can be changed by the pool as required , has an excellent children’s pool(probably good for under 7s) max .400mm deep) , totally separate from main pool with small slides and water tree/fountain , kids pool area has kids toys there provided by hotel , they have an air conditioned playroom there too with plenty of things for them ,pens/crayons,paints and all the general toys , Entertainment every night by the pool/bar outside , finishes at 10-30 so good if you have kids etc noise wise. My only downside is the food , breakfasts are great all the usual English /continental/cereals ,the porridge is superb , however the evening meals are not so good ,we were there for 7nights and was either Spanish or Mexican based so was not impressed . Would I go again probably not now due to the food in the evenings , but if you went B&B it's perfect. located right by the hotel is the local emergency Dr's ,there's a chemist and supermarket within 2minute walk .

Our third stay at Corralejo Sands, and again it didn’t disappoint. The hotel’s location is perfect, although very central, it is very peaceful. The hotel is very clean, and the rooms quite large, with a walk in shower. The hotel is very friendly. All the staff are very pleasant, and the reception staff are always ready to help with everything you should need. We stayed for two weeks, and enjoyed every aspect of our stay. So much so we booked again for next year before leaving. We were on a half board basis, and found the food good, both breakfast and evening meal. The deserts are yummy too 😋 . We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this hotel to family and friends, which says it all !!!!
