Absolutely awful hotel – would not recommend! This was one of the worst hotel experiences, and definitely not worth the money. The entertainment was practically non-existent, the kids’ club was very poor, and there was very little for families to enjoy. The food was absolutely disgusting. The same food was served day after day, with very little variety and hardly anything suitable for the children. It was extremely disappointing, especially for a hotel where you expect to be able to rely on the food. The rooms were dirty and damp, and there were bugs everywhere, including cockroaches inside the rooms. This is completely unacceptable and made the stay very unpleasant. The hotel is also extremely secluded, with absolutely nothing worthwhile nearby. If you want to get to decent shops and restaurants, you’re looking at around a 20-minute taxi journey costing approximately €30 each way – that’s €60 for a return trip! These costs quickly add up and are something you really need to consider when booking. The only place we visited was Oasis Zoo, which was okay, but even that was run-down and expensive for what it offered. Overall, this holiday was a massive disappointment. Between the disgusting food, dirty rooms, cockroaches, poor children’s facilities and isolated location, the hotel fell well below expectations. I would most definitely NOT recommend this hotel or the surrounding area. Save your money and book somewhere else!

We’ve just returned from a stay at Hotel Drago Park and felt it important to share our honest experience, as the hotel does not appear to match its online ratings at all. The rooms- We booked two family rooms, both requiring sofa beds. On arrival, neither was prepared. We requested a move but were offered rooms that smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and were not properly made up. Cleanliness & condition- Our rooms went three days without being cleaned — no fresh towels or emptying of bins. There are clear issues with damp and mould throughout the rooms, which was severe enough to affect my breathing and leave me with a bad chest by the end of the holiday. There are also bugs everywhere in the room especially in the bathroom such as cockroaches and fruit flys; also a member of my family found a massive cockroach in her suitcase. My clothes always felt damp putting them on and the bedding was also damp everytime we got into bed or sat on the bed. Food- The buffet was extremely repetitive — the same options every day — and unfortunately the quality was poor, resulting in my partner suffering from stomach upset during our stay. For the price paid, this hotel falls well below acceptable standards. I cannot recommend it to others.

Just come back from Drago Park 14th to 25th October. Can honestly say we had the best family holiday. we had a 4yr old and an 11yr old who is autistic so very particular about everything. Firstly ignore all of the negative reviews. I don’t know what people are expecting for the money. I have been to many places far more expensive than here and had far less choice and worse facilities. The hotel is kept very clean. The toilets around the pool and bar restaurant are spotless. The main thing for us is having space round the pool and it being kept clean. When we first arrived before half term the hotel was probably around 40% full and so peaceful. As half term started the hotel was probably around 75% full. Despite this we never struggled to get the same sun beds for our entire stay and there is no silliness with people putting towels down before going down to the pool. Every morning the pool was vacuumed out and washed down. Was probably one of the cleanest pools i have come across on holiday. The pool is also very shallow so my 4 year old could touch the bottom round the entire outside of the pool. In the middle it only get to around chest deep. I would say however the tiles around the side of the pool are very slippery when wet, even in flip flops. If you have little ones get them some pool shoes, I saw lots of the smaller children slipping over. The food - yes it’s not piping hot but it’s a buffet so would not be practical to keep it that hot. I never once had a meal and thought it’s not warm enough. Most of the dishes are Spanish and there is a great choice. If you like grilled fish, meat and stews you are in for a treat. For fussier people there is still plenty of plain things to choose. The animation team work really hard round the pool during the day and are not pushy to make you join in and will happily just stand and have a chat or leave you alone if you prefer. We only ever joined in with water aerobics and the magic carpet which were both fun. Never experienced the evening entertainment as preferred to sit outside or in the quieter seats outside the main bar, but whenever I went in people seemed to be joining in, it looked like your standard hotel evening entertainment where they do it all in house so don’t expect shows etc. they do hire in outside entertainment a few nights per week. Location - wasn’t the best it’s probably the furthest hotel out in Costa calma, but you can walk down to the nearest beach and main shops in about 15/20mins so no drama. You can also ask reception to call you a cab and get dropped off at the other end of town where there are more shops and bars cost about 7euro. Get receipts and when you go back to reception they will refund you the taxi cost. (Apparently there is a shuttle bus but I think this is broken at the moment). I will definitely be returning to this hotel. Yes it’s not perfect but the positives far outweigh any minor negatives.
