Sheraton Fuerteventura Beach, Golf & Spa Resort

What a terrible experience. The hotel was pending closure for refurbishment at the end of our week. We were not informed of this beforehand, the hotel was being dismantled throughout our stay. The corridors, lifts and staircases were cluttered and you couldn’t have a sunbed at the pool. The staff were rude and unhelpful and the hotel closed at midday with no support for residents after this time. A letter was given but it was just a token gesture- they basically couldn’t wait to get rid of us. Complained to the hotel and Marriott Bonvoy, who both agree that our experience is what is expected in one of their 4* hotels. There are plenty of safe and lovely 4* hotels in Caleta de fuste and my advice would be to look elsewhere. The hotel will reopen in May 2027, however as we say in the UK…you cannot polish a t***. How people treat you doesn’t change with shiny new carpets and light fixtures

Well I don't know about the rest of the travellers on here but myself and my wife booked this so called 5* for our wedding anniversary,and I have to say having going to Caleta for 20yrs this was the worst experience in all our years,where do I start ?.We arrived on 6th of September until 13th,the 1st night the people in the next room were partying until 6am,we contacted the reception on numerous occasions and eventually were told that their was no security in hotel as they were elsewhere.It was the same the 2nd night with the next door revellers,so we went to see the manager after 2 sleepless nights and we had to pack up all our clothes and stuff to be moved to another room,the room was crawling with ants,on the furniture and on the bed.We went for breakfast and the hot food counter was disgusting,pre-fried eggs left to go hard,bacon as hard as the hobs of hell(inedible),nothing was replenished correctly.The waiting staff were lovely,as we're the receptionists,after bringing all the issues to management while there and after coming home we were not even offered a cup of coffee,we paid 5* prices for a 1* experience and all we got was an apology,in my eyes not good enough and we will not be going back any day soon.

My mother and I stayed at the Sheraton Fuerteventura from Sunday 27th September to celebrate my mum's 60th birthday. We first visited 11 years ago and were pleased to return, which makes this stay all the more disappointing. We did appreciate the kind gesture of a room upgrade. The main problem was the lack of notice about the hotel closing for refurbishment, with work starting on our checkout day. We only found out from a note sent to our room on Monday 28th, which told us to visit reception to discuss our options, as we had a later flight. When we spoke to reception, we were told to come back later because they hadn't worked out what would be happening yet, which felt rather contradictory. We were told we would have full use of the hotel facilities until 12pm on checkout day, but this wasn't possible. Sun loungers were already being stacked on Tuesday 29th, and by the morning of Thursday 1st they had all been stacked and wrapped, so there was nothing to use. On the Thursday we were relocated to the neighbouring hotel. Towels were included at the Sheraton, so we had none there, and we were told we would need to pay a deposit for them. We declined, and Pedro from the Sheraton management kindly fetched some for us, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the towels were threadbare and fraying at the edges. On our checkout day we also felt very rushed out. Refurbishment work had already begun by the time we went down for breakfast, with furniture from a number of rooms placed outside ready for the renovations. It certainly didn't make us feel welcome. I appreciate guest numbers were limited, but the food choice was restricted too. If work was due to start on the Thursday, we should never have been able to book to check out on that day. Overall, the stay didn't match our expectations. I'd advise anyone considering booking to check the refurbishment dates first.

Have just returned from 9 days at Sheraton lovely hotel yes does need updating but all in hand the standards were still all good and the staff lovely😀 My only real disappointment -I thought booking a higher standard hotel I would not have to worry getting About getting a sunbed with shade this did not happen People still put their towels on beds and disappear Very selfish
