Apartamentos Rio Piedras

We loved our stay at The Rio Piedras, the staff were all great and very attentive throughout our stay. The rooms are a little dated but have everything you need and are spotless. We stayed on the 9th floor and our room had a huge balcony with sea views. The showers are fab the WiFi was a little hit and miss. The pool area is fantastic! No issues getting beds with great views of Puerto Rico. Great bar with a decent selection of drinks too. Location was also perfect with no steep hills to climb after a few drinks around PR. We would definitely come back to the hotel again thanks for a great stay Rio Piedras.

This is an amazing hotel in a superb location close to the beach. The rooms have everything you need and are very clean and tidy, with large balconies and awesome views of the sea. It’s a couple of minutes walk to the beach, and about 10 mins to the main shopping food area. There’s a decent supermarket right next to the hotel which is also handy. The staff are brilliant, and the rooftop pool is a real highlight with no issues getting sunbeds etc. A real gem of a hotel and we will be back for sure.

My family loved this hotel, my son was pleasantly suprised, they had the roof top on the 10th floor, with the pool, the views and beach, everything walking distance, staff was great, food at resturant 6/10, he went to the Spar to do shoppung...and cooked 3 times a week. Amazing....had entertainment at as well.

Great apartments, very clean, fantastic balcony with great views. Roof top pool area is excellent with plenty of comfortable sunbeds and parasols. The room was pretty much as expected, spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower area is the only negative as this is in need of some modernisation and there are cracked, broken wall and floor times. The waste water system isn’t great and takes a long time to drain away, despite us reporting to reception. The room was very warm on arrival around 10.30pm and unfortunately the air conditioning unit (in bedroom) for our apartment was working correctly so our first night was rather uncomfortable and we had to rely on the tall portable fan found in the lounge. The air conditioning unit was repaired the following day and we had comfortable sleeping conditions for the remainder of our holiday. Would suggest to the management that rooms are cooled for guests on arrival and a/c units are checked for effectiveness on changeover periods. All reception staff were polite, professional and helpful, Also rooftop restaurant is great and we ate here four times during our stay, excellent food and service, with nice entertainment and cracking views. The apartments are lovely and clean, has everything you need. Diel (not sure how to spell his name) on reception is just lovely. AC in the rooms, towels and all the basics. The showers are amazing!! Was able to get loungers at the pool no bother any time of day . The pool is great… not heavy on the chemicals so you can swim all day without stingy eyes!!! The pool side bar is fab the food is basic but nicely done and reasonable. Apartments are best placed for access to the main strip and the beach. Would def return. A good mix of adults, couples and families. Really chilled relaxed atmosphere.great well stocked mini market next door. The main strip is great for families and couples, fantastic offering of food and shops, great atmosphere. The area is spotless. Cannot fault it at all.
