Bungalows Miraflor Suites

Where do I start! A large family group ages 5 to 60plus! And we had 5 sta dard bungalows .. from arrival to leaving it was amazing! Dont get me wrong they could be upgraded and more modern but they are what you make it!! Animation team Ari, nachos, Carletos and paloma - you guys made our holiday days full of fun, laughter and mischief! You are the gems of this hotel ... never forget that! Thank you so so much for the banter.. (from papa bear!) And viking steveeee... Reception, room service, food and drink staff were all soo friendly and helpful! With a handy self service bar area - meaning hardly any queueing and super fast service! They always moved tables and made sure we sat as a family... and nothing it too much trouble.. Food was varied every night and even the most fussy eaters always found something they liked! We really had no complaints it was fantastic! And staff always so helpful if you are polite and ask.. Facilities - the bungalows were fab! Yeah dated but they are modernising the site ... all Self contained with your own little kitchen and coffee machine (spar round the corner for supplies) the rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh towels given.. housekeeping were kind, helpful and very trusting. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and very very well kept! With cats, peacocks, turtles and parroketes it was just fantastic to sit out in your own area and watch the sun rise and wildlife... yes there are ants and other bugs etc.. but thats to be expected! Due to where your visiting. Just let staff knkw and they will address very quickly!.... oh and the baby geckos were very friendly ❤️ Entertainment was varied and if your happy to get stuck in and have fun, your be laughing and clapping all evening. Lovely singers, dancers and a great quiz night!! The whole layout is easy to get around and very well set out! Close to loads of shops, beaches and buses to explore the island. My only one area of improvement would be the poolside - lifeguards dont really have the best location to watch all 3 pools. The drains around the pool and outside toilet blocked a few times and it was not the most pleasant smell! But we're fixed... to be fair its a large site and could probably do with being more robust. The pools themselves clean and well maintained.. the sun loungers need a good clean or replacing truth be told.. just minor tweeks! All in all this is the best place we have stayed on the island and we have visited alot!! .. we will be back! Well done team miraflor and a huge cornish thank you for making our 10 days amazing 👏 🤩

The surroundings at HL Miraflor Suites are absolutely beautiful. The grounds, the peacock walking around, the cleanliness and the staff are all 5★. The whole place is very well looked after, and the staff were always lovely and helpful. Unfortunately, the rest was very disappointing for a 4★ hotel. Evening entertainment was almost non-existent — by around 9:30pm the place felt like a ghost town, and on a few evenings even the music was switched off around that time. Daytime activities were very limited and repetitive, with the same things offered again and again. The biggest disappointment by far was the food. It was an absolute disaster. The choices were basically chicken, pork or fish every day, with very little variation throughout the entire week. I am genuinely not a fussy eater and normally very easy to please with food, but eating practically the same pork, chicken and fish for a full week with hardly any choice is simply not good enough for a 4★ hotel. Even more concerning, we were served undercooked/raw chicken and fish from the grill, which is completely unacceptable and a food-safety concern. Apart from the lack of variety, much of the food simply didn't taste good. It's such a shame because the hotel itself has so much potential. Beautiful surroundings, fantastic cleanliness and wonderful staff — 5★ for all of those. But the food, lack of activities and almost non-existent evening atmosphere seriously let the hotel down. With much better food and entertainment, this could be a fantastic place.

Great hotel food was good always something to eat entertainment staff brilliant always getting everyone involved and they work all day long .. only one thing that the hotel could change is the sunbeds very uncomfortable need new ones but other than that had a fantastic stay thank you for making our holiday fun x

We returned on Tuesday from a 10 night stay as a family of three. We stayed in one of the older bungalows (1168) which contained a big separate bedroom, good sized bathroom, spacious lounge and a terrace area, and found it very comfortable and exactly what we needed. There is a lot of brown furniture that could do a slight bit of modernisation as looks a bit 90s, but that is just personal taste. There is one air-conditioning unit located in the bedroom which cools the whole bungalow and is so welcome when coming back to the room after a hot day. The terrace area is a lovely addition with two sun loungers, a table & chairs, an umbrella, and a good freestanding airer to dry pool towels and swimwear. We didn't use the loungers as we were down by the pool everyday. My husband placed our towels down at 8am each day and we always managed to get the same loungers, so no sunbed wars. We had an umbrella each day (it looked like there was one umbrella per 5 loungers), but be sure to place some sort of personal item on the umbrella as we did spot guests moving these around whilst occupants had gone to lunch. The pools were lovely, nice and cool, although the side areas are slightly sharp and rough to make them nonslip. A bit prickly if you sit on them. The in-pool loungers in the large pool are lovely but could do with a bit of a daily clean. A very welcome addition to cool down and top up the tan. When we were there a couple of families were complaining that lilos and large inflatables were not allowed in the pools. Two managers came to the pool area to back up the lifeguard and did well to stand their ground when some guests wouldn't take no for an answer. I completely agreed with the hotels stance on this as the pools are simply not large enough to accommodate these and can't be easily controlled by the person on them so they are a bit of a hazard. Flotation aids for children and babies are allowed though. Balls are not allowed either, and personally I think this is good as people spread out in a large triangle which is inconvenient when you're just wanting to relax, with the added annoyance of balls splashing or hitting people unexpectedly. The only complaint I would have is that there is loud music around the pool every day except for Sunday (animation team day off) which is not to everyone's taste. The choice is not there to find a quiet area when you're just wanting to lay quietly and read. The animation team keep people entertained who want to take part, and games and activities are well attended. They do come and ask you everyday, even if you're engrossed in a book. But once you say no and give your reason they leave you alone. The restaurant area is lovely with two separate areas, lovely and spacious with outside seating too. We found that there was enough choice even though it was quite a small selection to choose from. There was usually a bit of a queue for the hot drinks machines and there was never any breakfast tea teabags available. Luckily we always bring our own teabags. The metal teapots were in short supply meaning tea had to be done by the cup as too dangerous to carry more than that back to the table which meant multiple visits and wait times. The bar area was nice with self serve wine, sangria, Amstel lager, fizzy drinks, water, and juices. My only complaint would be evening times when the area was busy with only two bar staff present. We did find that paying guests were given priority. I didn't find it fair that the cocktails for All Inclusive guests are just premixed from a machine, where as if you're paying they are mixed from scratch in front of you. Spirit measures are also very short and taste watered down for All Inclusive guests. This should not be the case when AI guests have already paid a large amount upfront but are treated a bit second class in comparison. I think this is something that should be reviewed. On the whole, we had a lovely holiday but feel that some of the restaurant and bar staff could be a bit more proactive in making sure supplies are stocked up at all times.

We had a lovely holiday at the HL Miraflor Suites in Gran Canaria and would happily return. When we first arrived, we weren't entirely happy with our room. This wasn't due to the quality or standard of the hotel, but because some maintenance work was taking place nearby. We mentioned this to reception, and the hotel couldn't have been more accommodating. They arranged to move us as soon as possible, which we were very grateful for. The hotel itself has beautiful grounds and a wonderful atmosphere throughout. The adults-only area is particularly lovely and perfect for those looking for a quieter, more relaxing experience. The staff were outstanding from start to finish. A special mention has to go to Stephen at reception and the hotel manager, who went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The level of customer service was exceptional and genuinely made a difference to our holiday. The food was surprisingly good for a buffet-style restaurant. They clearly cater for a wide range of tastes, and there was always plenty of choice for everyone. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the drinks were great, and we particularly liked the self-service lager, wine, and soft drinks available in the main bar area. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely visit again, largely because of how well we were looked after. Thank you to everyone at HL Miraflor Suites for making our holiday so enjoyable.
