Barceló Playa Blanca Royal Level

3rd visit to this Hotel absolutely loved it, had a great time and met some lovely people. The hotel itself is immaculate, very clean, rooms are amazing. The food as always was very good especially lunch. The staff all over the hotel are very pleasant and always helpful. The magical restaurant staff were excellent especially Jessica and Paul but to be fair they all worked extremely hard. Would recommend this hotel without question.

I can't praise this hotel enough. We have just spent 8 nights here, this was our 5th time and it was perfect from start to end. The whole hotel is immaculate and the staff can't do enough for you and I mean all of the staff, from front of house to ground staff and cleaners, etc they are all brilliant. Jack in customer services, Laura and Fatima on reception, David and the lovely lady at the pool bar (sorry I don't know her name), the restaurant staff and Gabby in the main buffet, sorry I don't have any other names but you are all brilliant and your managers should be so proud of all of you. It is so lovely to see the grounds and trees established now too it looks really pretty. The rooms are beautiful. We had one on the side where there is building work going on at the moment, but who spends all day in the room or on the balcony anyway and even when we did (we slept with the patio door open) the noise really wasn't that bad. Do not listen to any negative comments about this hotel it is fabulous. The location is also perfect, near to the beach and near the beautiful marina.

The Royal Level experience makes such a wonderful holiday. Just very relaxed and quiet. Food quality is very good and for those that are on an all inclusive package, the drink brands and quality of cocktails are great. Pool bar at the RL was never overly busy and we liked the addition of the foliage around the posts of the bar making it more welcoming. Staff were all great and customer service was great. Our swim up rooms were perfect. We did however have to take any glasses we brought back to the room at the end of the night back to the Magical bar the next morning as the cleaners did not seem to want to take these away. Never seen this before. I did have a small altercation with a couple who were sitting outside their swim up room. I did swim past as your website indicates the swim up pools (not steps or patio) are not private and these can be used for access to those that have swim up rooms. The couple were very angry and were obviously trying to shout at me in their language (which I could not understand), then they shouted ‘private and no respect’ at me!! My wife also was videoed by them which was quite uncalled for. Perhaps RL reception on arrival make it perfectly clear what the parameters are to the swim up areas and that people are allowed to ‘swim by’ as long as they do not enter their private areas. We love the hotel and RL and will no doubt be re-booking in 2027!! Many thanks to the Barcelo staff for the wonderful, restful stay. From the Watetfall and Sullivan clans!!
