TUI BLUE Flamingo Beach

Still here on our sixth night of seven and throughly enjoying ourselves. Apartment 60 in the quiet end of the hotel. The apartment is great with everything that is needed for a comfortable stay. The staff are on the ball and really approachable, even though they are busy they find time to be polite and friendly. Always something good to find to eat in the restaurant at meal times and the pool bar offerings are probably right up there with the best we have ever experienced, not just a dodgy burger or hotdog that's been hanging around for some time but a whole variety of edible tasty food. The evening entertainment is very hit and miss but in our case with a couple of sherbets and appreciating that we are not at home freezing our bits off it's really quite acceptable. One downside is the fact that both me and my wife have had a bit of a time with the mozzies, they seem to have taken a shine to us unfortunately but they are probably flying off happy due to their alcohol intake at our expense but hey ho. Good solid 3 star hotel Don’t come here looking for luxury but a relaxing holiday and great for families and decent food. Rooms - good size, clean and well equipped. Good for families and if you are half board as there is a kitchenette. If you looked closely the room was a bit tired in places but overall no complaints. A bottle of water was left in the fridge on arrival so that was nice. We were is room 64A, which was above the bar. We were a bit anxious this would be noisy in the evening but once the door was closed you couldn’t hear a thing. This room is in a good location and close to the restaurant and pools. Pools - the main pool was very noisy during the day with the entertainment mean running activities. There were 3 kids pools and a quiet pool. However although it had no music playing, the pool was not quiet as the kids were in this pool rather than the children’s ones. The pools were a bit tired with tiles missing and needed a bit of a refresh. This might be because it was the end of the season and these jobs will get done in the winter. We found there were always sunbeds available at any time of the day. There were no sun bed wars and no getting up at 5am to put towels down. All the pools were freezing, none were heated. Restaurant - the restaurant was more like a canteen style. No waiter service and you helped yourself to hot and cold drinks from the machines. We found it difficult to find cutlery at meal times as it wasn’t replaced quick enough as people left. The food was plentiful and of a good standard, you will always find something you like. There were a few themed nights and the chefs did a good job. The Asian night was great, they did a really good job, good variety of dishes, music and table decoration. Snack bar - this is a nice change of scenery from the main restaurant for lunch, good variety of hot food and salad bar plus you can help yourself to Mr Whippy style ice cream and toppings. This overlooked the sea and as higher up had good views of the sea and lane pool. Bars - the drinks seem to either be really strong or weak depending on what you chose. You also help yourself to beer, wine and soft drinks. They use plastic cups which is ok in the day but glass would be preferred in the evenings. Beach - the beach is a few minutes walk down a small incline. There is a beach bar but no sunbeds or umbrellas so you need to take your own. There is a supermarket, sports bar and a few shops and restaurants along the beach which was nice to have so close. Evening entertainment- what we saw wasn’t great. The kids seemed to enjoy the kids shows but the adult entertainment later in the evening was poor. This was probably the worst part about the hotel and we have seen much better elsewhere. Overall we enjoyed our time at the resort and the staff do a good job, the cleaners and chefs especially. As long as you don’t come here expecting 5 star service you won’t be disappointed.

Good area - close to beach and shops / food places. Main pool very busy so would have to get up early to try put towels down if you can and this is where all entertainment is, my family and I went to a quieter pool. Snack bar was closed. Good food and good selection. Cleaner didn’t make our beds/no fresh towels daily - had to ask. Room was basic, a lot of cockroaches and mosquitoes in the room

Excellent hotel, with very friendly, helpful staff. The whole hotel is very clean, rooms cleaned daily if required. The staff are friendly and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The food was amazing, never had so much choice at every meal, all cooked to perfection. Excellent entertainment team, the pool activities in particular were hilarious and the team were brilliant. Fantastic pools for young children, with slide area and two other quieter pools for them to just paddle. The whole hotel has everything covered, free gym, with towels provided, free safe and wifi, and pool towels ( we have always had to pay extra for these all these previously) you can also book a meal at the hotel taverna, including in your all inclusive. The food was delicious and again staff so friendly. we are looking at dates for next year for the whole family, can’t wait to go back.

We spent 8 days at Flamingo Beach in September. We have previously stayed several times before , the last time being 2020 just before the pandemic that year.We arrived late at night and the superior room we were allocated was not as described on the Tui website.We are in our 70s , 28steps up to the apartment in the dark.and over the bar!!! We went back to reception and the receptionist was most unhelpful and told us nothing could be done and we would have to wait and see the tui rep in the morning. We were told we could go to the restaurant were food would be laid out for us, this was abysmal , processed cheese and ham with dried up bread.We ended up just having a plum each. We wentvto bed that night very unhappy and hungry. The next morning we went to reception and a completely different story, the receptionist was very helpful as was Shelly the tui rep.We moved apartments at 1 pm and what a difference. The food in the restaurant was excellent and some of the best we have had in a hotel abroad. Special mention to Andreas our cleaner who was excellent. Weather was fabulous so all in all a brilliant holiday after a bad start.We will definitely be back but will make sure that that we book a room ( hopefully) more suitable to our requirements.
