Apartamentos Casablanca

This is a great little complex in a lovely part of Tenerife, the resort is just the right size to be able to explore for a week, with pretty old town buildings, street art and fantastic moody volcanic beaches and crashing surf. The resort is hilly and the apartments are in an elevated position so might not be ideal for those with restricted mobility, but I found the walk down the steps to the town to be pleasant and a good way to get in some steps (lugging my grocery shopping back up was a little more taxing but then rewarded by a dip in the pool)! The apartment itself was very spacious and had everything you'd need for self catering. My only tiny niggle was the lack of aircon, as a rule I would never usually stay somewhere without it as I run to hot, but the ceiling fan in the bedroom helped. The balcony was large and had sea views which was fab. The pool was big enough and there were always loungers and umbrellas available each day. The free wifi was pretty reliable across both the room and the pool areas. All in all, I'd definitely recommend to a solo traveller looking for a nice chilled self catering break in a pretty part of the country.

I'm from Galicia, raised in the UK. My wife and son chose this trip and I somewhat reluctantly agreed. I would have much preferred to go to Galicia or even central/east northern Spain like San Sebastian. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by Apartamentos Casablanca and Puerto de la Cruz in general. The apartments consist of 11 smallish blocks with some 280 apartments in total. A very reassuring point was that a lot of Spanish people stay here and many return year after year. We never needed to fight for a sunbed or wait long to be served at the bar/restaurant. Reception was friendly and attentive. Some might lament the lack of AC, but the ceiling fan in the bedroom works great, and reception will load you a pedestal fan free of charge, or a portable AC unit for 10€ a day. We got by fine with the fan even though it was quite warm and humid for most of our stay. The decor was about 7/10 and would benefit from a bit of a refresh (as at July 2026), but everything was clean and the apartment was well stocked with everything you need; pots & pans, utensils, dinnerware, coffee machine etc. I was comfortably able to cook anything I wanted when we weren't going out to eat. Breakfast on the balcony every morning (with tortilla from Mercadona and a cup of tea), and nightcaps on the balcony most evenings made for wonderful starts and ends to every day. Staff were all great and attentive, and there were lots of activities throughout the day and entertainment most evenings. There were 2 pool tables outside and another 2 in the games room, plus lots of other games. Pool was 1€ a game. The felt was a little worn and the balls had a few chips in them, but the felt was replaced while were were there. Many people mention the steep climb from the town centre. I'm old, overweight, and unfit, but it's not all that bad if you go at a slow pace. Yes, I usually had a bit of a sweat on going back to the apartment (quite humid in July), but sitting in front of the fan or going for a swim (after a poolside shower) would sort me out fine. Stopping at Restaurante el Camino for a beer or a Barraquito was always an option. The FISA supermarket next door was always handy and the larger Mercadona supermarket was only a 6 minute walk away. Note that you hit the steepest bit of the climb back from there so get your water from FISA supermarket next door. All-round, was a great stay and I would happily return. Extra. We were there for the Grandes Fiestas de Julio which run throughout July. The famous maritime procession of the Virgen del Carmen is mid July and the traditional greasy pole event, known locally as La Cucaña is the day before the procession. I can highly recommend visiting during a FIFA World Cup year. Spain won this year and the celebrations were incredible, not just after the final, but after every match they won.

There was hair all over the bathroom. Floor in entire unit was so gross. Couldn't go barefoot or in socks. Had to wear shoes. No warning about that they don't have AC. You can rent one for €10/night. No screens in the windows. So you get bugs if you try to cool the place off. Right next to a large children's splash pad area, with constant screaming. Pool closes far too early. Entertainment was sad. Restaurant was not good. Not worth it.

This is a real mixed bag of a review was hard to score . Lots of good things . Lots of not so good things . Firstly the location- is good but on a steep hill . Steps down to the town but is a tough walk back - taxi however under €5 . Rooms are good , plenty of space and very clean. Weirdly there was no Aircon which was a big shock . You can however hire a mobile unit , how this works at summer capacity I don’t know and could make it a very hot stay . Food is good and reasonably priced Service despite the staff being friendly is the most unattentive I’ve ever come across. Today for example I stood at the bar while 3 members of staff continued thier conversation and ignored me despite seeing me . Even when I got served the guy stopped to speak to his colleague with my drink in his hand. There are lots of rules and regulations We don’t refill your toiletries No you can’t have toast No you can’t swap your bacon for toast We only change your towels and sheets on a Wednesday It’s all a bit odd Would I stay here again ? I don’t know - the Aircon would be the deciding factor for me . This is an average place Under the right management this could be an AMAZING place with sharper attentive service (and this isn’t through lack of waiting staff) and some Aircon in the rooms . Do better Casablanca

Great self catering apartments in the heart of town. Apartment was small but adequate and had a great view of mount teide and partial view of the ocean it was nice. The pool although a little small was adequate to cool off after a day of exploring. Only ate once at the restaurant the pizza were delicious. I think the restaurant is reasonably priced too. Apartment was clean and well equipped kitchen which was a positive as we love to cook. The location is central so can be a little noisy from all the town and other hotel next door but it didn’t bother us much. No aircon so some nights it did get hot there was a ceiling fan it was ok but means you sleep with a draft I got used to it after a couple of days. Staff are great friendly and helpful.
