Bahia Principe Explore San Felipe

We have been here twice in 2026 June and Sept. Our room was lovely, the hotel is very clean. The pool area is large plenty of sunbeds and hosed down every night. Some sunbeds are brand new.. A bar and snack bar are adjacent to the pool area. All staff were extremely pleasant and always helpful. We had a problem with the room safe and the response was immediate they managed to fix it. The restaurant is well managed and waiters clear your table regularly,food is what you would expect from a buffet. The white wine and rose from taps are poor. Help yourself to soft drinks water and beer. Caberet in the lounge happens most nights, seats are plentiful and comfortable. No need to queue at the bar waiters will serve you throught the night. Drinks are standard local. There is also an outside seating area. The bedroom was lovely,well looked after by the maids,English tv as well,cold water dispensers on all floors, a library on floor P. All inc guests get two visits per week to the Al A Carte book via reception. For what you pay this hotel is good value for money,with exceptional staff and a high level of cleanliness,special thanks to Jordan and Anna on reception and Leonardo who fetches your drinks at night.

I’m currently waiting desperately for jet 2 to help me get to another hotel . I’m actually baffled as to why there are any good reviews for this place ? I arrived at midnight on Saturday . At 2am I asked to move to a different room as 1502 is just a disgrace . It stink of drainage and was depressing / dingy .. like an old people’s bad home . The room I have been moved to is a little better in that it’s not so dingy but it still stank of drains so maintanence man came today to sort that out . The food is awful . The pool area disgusting . If I can not get changed to a different place I’m going home . Yes , the staff are nice but sorry .. this place is depressing and awful .

Just got home after spending the week at the Bahia Principe. Had an amazing time. The staff are lovely and very friendly. Our rooms were cleaned everyday. The cleaners are the unsung heroes. Hotel is immaculate, food was good which reminds me, you get 2 al a carte bookings for stays at least 7 days. One night it’s Mediterranean and the other is Italian. Defo recommend it. The views of the sea are spectacular and you can hear the waves with the balcony door open it’s very relaxing. Will definitely come back here one day. Particularly enjoyed the amaretto, mojitos and blood Mary’s. Location is also excellent with the mall next door!

I have stayed 11 nights as a solo traveller and nothing to complain about. People having too high exlectations-sorry about that. But room was ok, i had a sea view, cleaned every day. Food was not bad at all (i was half board which was perfect for me), always some type of fish and meet, salads, paella in the evening They can impove the variety of the desserts but other than that, you have everything you need. It's not a 5 * hotel after all. Plus the price you pay for the hotel and what you get is decent. The only thing is at the reception they can be a bit more friendly, when i checked out they didn't ask me if i had a good stay or anything.

Please do not worry about some of the reviews on this hotel I have been pleasantly surprised yes the hotel is slightly dated but everywhere is so clean even outside of the hotel is clean The staff are very helpful with any questions and all speak good English the only negative I have is a lack of information on meals times you need to look on screen in lift NO information other wise and for drinks it QR codes a sign of the times some people might not have a mobile phone apart from have a enjoy time Food has been good quality and lots of choices no issues with going hungry Hotel in the ideal location near shops bars plenty to do and see love the area would come back to a different hotel not because of the negative reviews I do not always go back to the same hotels
