FERGUS Puerto de la Cruz

We’ve recently returned from a wonderful stay at FERGUS Hotel Puerto de la Cruz, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better holiday. What really made our stay so special was the amazing staff, the friendly atmosphere and, in particular, the fantastic daytime entertainment team. We were absolutely delighted to receive a complimentary room upgrade, which was such a lovely surprise and a brilliant way to start our holiday. It was a thoughtful gesture that we really appreciated and made us feel valued from the very beginning. All the staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to see you, always ready with a smile and a friendly chat. It’s those little things that make such a difference and help turn a good holiday into a great one. A very special mention has to go to the entertainment team! They were absolutely brilliant and brought so much energy, fun and enthusiasm to every day. They worked incredibly hard to get everyone involved, create a great atmosphere and make sure guests were having the best possible time. Whether you wanted to join in with the activities or simply sit back and enjoy the atmosphere, they made everyone feel welcome and included. What really stood out was their personalities, their sense of humour and the genuine effort they made to interact with guests. They didn’t just turn up and do a job; they put real heart into what they did. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and they brought so much life to the poolside and daytime activities. It was lovely seeing people getting involved, laughing and enjoying themselves, all thanks to the effort the team put in. You could tell they genuinely cared about making people's holidays memorable. They made it easy to join in, have a laugh and enjoy ourselves without feeling pressured. That personal touch made such a difference to our days, and they deserve so much credit for the atmosphere they created. They really are a credit to the hotel, and their hard work shouldn't go unnoticed. The hotel itself was comfortable and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy our time in Tenerife. But when we look back on our holiday, it will be the people, the laughs, the daytime activities and the lovely memories that stand out the most. A massive thank you to everyone at FERGUS Hotel Puerto de la Cruz, and especially to the entertainment team, for making us feel so welcome and helping make our holiday such a memorable one. Your enthusiasm, friendliness and hard work really do make a difference to your guests. We’ve come away with some fantastic memories, and we would happily recommend this hotel to others. arrived the 13th, room was nice and decently spacious, room and bathroom was very clean and bed made well, reception friendly. pools were clean too good size, get lots of sun on the upstairs pool. our main issue was the food, not a lot of variety in the breakfast or dinner buffet and even then the quality of what was there was not great… also entertainment wasn’t the best but it was better than no entertainment i suppose. still it was a good hotel in a good location (just beware of the steep steep walk though that’s basically of puerto de la cruz not the hotels fault)

I am currently at this hotel. Not recommended. Lots of silly rules for example no inflatables in the pool. No lilos etc. staff very rude when pointing out rules both to us and other guests. No good for children. Food is repetitive and mostly cold. Food also being cleared way before meal times end. Area where shows happen is too small for the number of guests. Have to arrive quite before start time to get a chance of viewing. 2 pools at the resort but only one included in the all inclusive. Other pool you have to pay for all drinks at the bar. ‘All inclusive’ is used very loosely here. Very disappointed with service at this hotel. I do not recommend and will not be returning.

Stayed a week, all inclusive in mid October 2026. We upgraded to the Magnus room with sea view as we liked the exclusive use of the private area with its own help yourself fridge, as well as the minibar in the room. Forget it, save your money. There are some beds exclusively on the 7th floor. As for the help yourself fridge, this is only stocked with water. When questioned with reception, we were told to take drinks from our room fridge. Sounded a fair compromise, however, the room fridge is only stocked on arrival and once the drinks are gone you have to pay for them to be restocked. The nearest bars are 7 floors below. If after reading this you still wish to stay here, go for the 6th floor or below and save your money, and also the sea view side is recommended, as the other side is right on a busy road, so probably quite noisy. Meals and drinks. Given that this is supposed to be a 4 star rating, the restaurant, or more aptly described canteen is terrible. The tables and chairs are all cafe style, with only a napkin and knife and fork adorning the tables. The atmosphere is loud and echoing as there are no soft surfaces. The food selection is fair, but always cold, I don't recall getting a full hot meal, occasionally you may get a warm item, so cherish it when you get it. On a positive note the deserts are delicious, however, like most things with this hotel, there is a silly down side, in that your desert spoon is a tiny tea spoon!!!! Crazy!! This was very frustrating as you could not get a decent amount on it. Small niggle, but a niggle none the less, and so easily rectified by the hotel. Moving on to drinks, in the restaurant/canteen there are vending type machines for all drinks including wines and beers, which is nice, however, as a seeming trend with this hotel, both the cups and glasses, 300ml or so, are small, meaning you either had a small amount or had to keep revisiting the machines. Whilst the hot drink dispenser gave a nice tasting coffee, this was let down by the tiny cups. You were not permitted to fill your own drinking cups or bottles, even though we are all inclusive. The bars have peanuts and crisps, which is nice, however, you have buy them, even though you may be all inclusive. It is stated that the hotel is on a hill, it does not detail how steep the hill is going up from the entrance. Trust me it is steep, so steep they have handrails down the centre of the pavement. It is also not mentioned that the coach to and from the airport drop off and collect from the top of the street, so be prepared to haul your bags up and down this very steep incline. In the evening, the main bar is frequently queuing with 10 or more people, partly down to the small glasses used (circa 1/2 pint), but don't think you can overcome come this by getting several drinks at a time as the limit is 2 per person. This is the worst all inclusive hotel I have stayed in with respect of what is considered part of the all inclusive deal. Sitting out by either pool is noisy, they put music, played through speakers placed throughout in an attempt to drown out the road noise. Their music or vehicle noise, not sure which is worse. The pools are generally very busy with sunbeds reserved early on, even though it states you cannot do this. Summary. Don't bother with this hotel unless you're getting a super cheap deal. The rooms are ok and the bed was quite comfortable, but be aware the walls are thin and the neighbours were easily heard on occasions throughout the night. I could go on putting this hotel down, but I hope I have given enough information for you to make an advised choice. Stay here at you peril.

Having the best holiday ere for 4 nights the staff the food , drink the people fantastic the location near shops amazing its on a hill but for elderly people not so good although ther is buz sevices 3 times a day the weather wus hot too we leave fri eve an i will diff be back the views are unreal too a brill location an 1s again staff brillant
