Gran Tacande Costa Adeje

Don’t hesitate to book. I visited with my wife and daughter (15) for 9 nights in August. It’s a fabulous hotel with excellent service from all the staff. The location is fantastic with a short walk to lots of restaurants and the beach. The room was comfortable for the 3 of us. Plenty of space for hanging clothes. The balcony was a good size and we enjoyed the side ocean view. Breakfast was lovely and waiting staff very attentive. Always seated quickly and a variety of food on offer. Tables cleared in double quick time. Always plenty of sunbeds to choose from around the pools. You still get the guests who put towels down early but we never failed to find 3 beds. The outdoor jacuzzi pool is just outstanding. Pools were never overly busy. There are a 2 supermarkets on the door step for ease of use. I’ve stayed at GF Victoria and Anthelia. Gran Tacande is definitely as good as both these hotels. In fact, when I return to Costa Adeje, I’d probably pick the Gran Tacande. Del Duque itself is a lovely area. Spotlessly clean and some brilliant walks. I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

We spent 5 nights here in a gold level swim up room on the ground floor. We immediately felt welcomed at reception and soon found our way around this beautiful hotel. Our room was perfect with probably the most comfortable mattress we have had anywhere. The breakfast was varied and it was a nice touch that hot drinks were made by a barista. The gold level pool area was great and the staff up there were very friendly. Location of the hotel was perfect also to note we spent time at the main pool and the area was clean with plentiful amounts of sunbeds. I’m ready to re book, thank you Gran Tacande

Hands down best place for relaxation. If you’re looking for mini golf, pool games and bingo this isn’t the place but if you’re looking for peace, tranquility, healing, yoga, sound baths and wellness this is it. We booked this hotel for a relaxing trip as my husband was recovering from surgery. The staff and hotel did not disappoint. From the jazz music around the pool to the slow and calm vibe was stunning. We had a spa day for €17 euros for a spa circuit and they offer treatments for an extra surcharge. There was unfortunately building works in the spa during our time which where occasionally loud but did not taint the experience. We ate lunch once at the poolside restaurant and it was spectacular, clean and not overpriced. The location was amazing as this end of the area is our favourite. We have booked again before we left as we cannot wait to be back.

We visited the hotel for the first time and booked a Gold Level swim-up suite. We were very impressed with the size of the room. Gold Level guests have access to an exclusive swimming pool on the first floor of the hotel. This area also offers complimentary drinks, including local beer, cava, wine and the occasional cocktail of the day. However, the overall choice of drinks is rather limited. The only complimentary food available is a toasted sandwich, which was a real disappointment. From what I heard from guests who had stayed previously, this is also a downgrade from what was offered in the past. The Gold Level pool itself is relatively small but was never busy during our stay. There were always plenty of comfortable, cushioned sun loungers available, regardless of the time of day. The main pools are much larger, but this area can get very busy, and finding an available sun lounger can sometimes be a problem. Breakfast offers a good variety, with plenty of hot dishes and continental options to choose from. The hotel's location is excellent, in the Playa del Duque area of Costa Adeje, with plenty of upmarket shops and restaurants nearby. For an even wider choice of restaurants, I would recommend heading further along the coast to La Caleta, which has some outstanding dining options. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and thought the hotel was good. However, in my opinion, the Gold Level upgrade simply isn't worth the extra cost, particularly given the limited drinks selection and, even more so, the disappointing food options. For the price paid, I would have expected late checkout to be included as standard, rather than being treated as an extra charge. Other five-star hotels we have stayed at have been more than happy to accommodate this request free of charge, so I find it disappointing that this hotel chooses to charge extra for what I consider a basic level of service at this price point.
