We recently returned from a lovely 10-night honeymoon at Hotel Suite Villa Maria with our toddler. The facilities and grounds are maintained to an exceptionally high standard. We stayed in a one-bedroom villa, which was incredibly spacious. While our garden view was slightly disappointing as it overlooked the back of the main building, the balcony view was beautiful. Walking around the resort, it is clear this outlook was likely isolated to our specific villa, as higher-priced options appeared to have nicer garden views. The standout feature of this resort is the staff, who provided service well above standard. We arrived at 11 pm and were warmly welcomed at the doors by a lovely receptionist who offered us complimentary drinks. Fernando took us to our villa via golf buggy—a massive hit with our toddler—and went out of his way to greet us throughout our stay. Every member of staff made a huge fuss of our little boy. We stayed on a bed-and-breakfast basis. The breakfast buffet was fantastic every morning, featuring a great selection and a live egg station run by two very attentive female chefs. The evening bar area was equally relaxing, with an extremely friendly bartender who also looked after our son. The pool areas are stunning, quiet, and relaxing. Though the bottom pool was closed for refurbishment during the first part of our stay, the top pools provided more than enough space. Our toddler attended the kids' club most mornings. While the staff member running it was exceptionally friendly, the club felt more like an independent play space with little structured interaction. Guests should also note that the hotel essentially has a "weekend" on Sunday and Monday, during which the shop and kids' club are closed. Location-wise, the resort is somewhat remote. It is a walk into La Caleta, but it involves a very steep hill, which was uncomfortable in the heat when dressed up for the evening. The hotel offers an efficient, free shuttle bus to a nearby beach, which we highly recommend. However, the operating hours are somewhat restricted; extending the service into the evening to allow guests to enjoy meals near the beach (and easily walk into Costa Adeje) would be a great improvement. For evening travel, the hotel easily arranges taxis (around €8 into Costa Adeje), though they do not have child seats and drivers can be quite fast. We also took a very cheap public bus into Las Américas (€1 per adult, toddlers free), which was excellent, though the bus stop is located at the bottom of the steep hill. A major highlight for our family was golfing. Reception twice arranged for a golf buggy to collect us from our villa and take us to the driving range. The staff at both the hotel and the driving range were fantastic, even letting us hire a club for our toddler. It was a wonderful activity for a cloudy day and a memory our son hasn't stopped talking about. As a minor note regarding our honeymoon, we contacted the hotel a few weeks prior to ask for local recommendations to make the trip special. The response was quick but only offered paid upgrades. My husband also mentioned the occasion to reception when purchasing a bottle of wine for our room, but still there was no mention of congratulations. While we did not expect free upgrades, a small gesture like a handwritten congratulatory note in the villa would have been a lovely, personal touch to acknowledge the milestone. Overall, we highly recommend Hotel suite villa Maria for its beautiful facilities and some of the most welcoming staff we have ever encountered. If we were to stay again, we would definitely hire a car to make grocery shopping and exploring the local area much easier.
We’ve just returned from our second stay at Villa Maria and once again, had a wonderful holiday. Having visited earlier in the year, we knew what to expect, but everything was just as good as we remembered. The biggest strength of Villa Maria is undoubtedly its staff. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming and helpful and there is a genuine warmth throughout the hotel. It’s lovely to be recognised as returning guests and the care and attention shown by the whole team really do make a difference. We travelled with our 12-year-old son, who has additional needs, and the team have been incredibly thoughtful and understanding. It was lovely to see how warmly he was welcomed back and how staff remembered his interests and took the time to chat with him. He absolutely loved the pool games and children’s activities, too. The villa was beautifully cleaned every day, the food was delicious and the drinks were excellent. Everything is so well looked after, making it a very relaxing place to spend a holiday. Villa Maria has a lovely atmosphere: friendly, relaxed and welcoming. What really sets it apart, though, is the people who work there and the genuine care they show their guests. Thank you to the whole team for another brilliant stay. We can’t wait to come back.
We stayed here for a week - everything was beautiful! The staff were super friendly throughout and I’d like to personally shout out Anto who is an asset to your business. The villas were super quiet with lots of space and really comfortable beds. The only thing I would suggest is more clear signage about what’s happening, for example foam parties at the pool etc. These were fabulous and we’d have to have missed them! We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!
Spectacular place. The villas are fantastic, spacious, clean and well equipped. Each are a little different and give a cool mini village vibe. Their terraces/ balconies are huge! The layout allows a family with kids lots of room and privacy unlike 'family' hotel rooms. View to mountain are amazing. The pools are a real stand out feature. The upper is heated. Plenty of beds, shades, toilet access and safe for kids. The dining area, bar and ice cream offering also great. The upper bar is amazing. Such a cool open air space with views and genuine comfort seating. Live unobtrusive music was great. Special mention to Fernando who was a great host and excellent bar man. The breakfast area and soon to be indoor restaurant is superb. All food was really exceptional with reasonable variety. Location is a short walk from la calleta which is a truly beautiful small enclave/ pebble beech with loads of fantastic restaurants/ bars. The walk to Adeje proper is also truly worth while. Access to golf course and driving range on site. All staff we encountered were superb. Special mention to Consierge Fernando who really went to great lengths to look after my whole family. This place has been a real pleasure to find and not many places that sell it with the justice it deserves. We will return 100%!
We are staying at a 2-bedroom villa with jacuzzi, and the villa as such is quite nice. Rooms are clean and the property is quite well kept. Frond desk personnel is nice and friendly, as also service personnel. Half-board dinner becomes repetitive with the same menu every night. Breakfast is nice with fried eggs station available. The only thing which prevents 4 stars is the dinner menu repetitiveness and the fact that especially breakfast waiters are not so friendly, no smiles to be seen anywhere, I do not understand why?
