Sol Arona Tenerife

This was our 6th holiday in Tenerife but our first time staying at the Sol Arona. Oscar greeted us at reception; his pleasant and professional attitude made us glad we booked the Sol Arona. We had an upgraded one-bedroom accommodation; the room's comfort and layout added to our enjoyment of the holiday. All the staff from the Reception, cleaning, pool activities team, entertainment and restaurant were welcoming and friendly. The Sol Arona has become our go-to hotel for future Tenerife holidays. The hotel management has hit a winning combination of guest comfort and professionalism that runs throughout the hotel well done.

These are my honest opinions from start to finish. Reception Amazing. They knew it was my 60th birthday and had my room ready for us at 12.15pm. Such a lovely friendly lady checked us in and a bottle of champagne on my actual birthday lovely touch thank you. Our room was a Sol room with lounge ocean view. And wow. It was like a mini suite. The lounge was huge with a kettle station. A whole wardrobe space and so much room a settee and large T.V. Separate bedroom with again loads of wardrobe and drawer space. Huge bathroom and amazing air con throughout. The cleaners leave your card in the slot so it's nice and cool when you get back to your room Restaurant I honestly do not know why people moan about the food. Its 💯 spot on. Breakfast fab all English or continental so much choice and nice and warm. Evening meal is fabulous lots of choice meats joints of meat theme nights desserts it honestly is so good. People who moan must be used to rubbish food at home. Pool The doors to the pool open approx 9.15. No rush 100s of beds. No big hurds running out at all everyone just strolls out it's great The pool area could do with a massive floor clean. They didnt do that in the refurb and there's big dirty black stains everywhere but it is cleaned daily. Communal areas All been renovated looks lovely everywhere nice and clean the whole hotel has been refurbished and is lovely. Lifts Best ever never a wait as there are 4 Staff All lovely happy friendly except one The chef behind the counter in the evening quite tall with glasses. Omg he was so rude to me in front of other guests. My fault as I made the ultimate error of picking a chip of my plate to eat while I was looking what to eat. And he went absolutely off his head at me. I know I shouldn't have done that but to be so abusive and nasty in front of everybody was just too much for me. He could have said something more discreet. Me and my husband called him grumpy chef. I was going to challenge him on my last day but thought better of it. But he was bad enough and rude enough to bring the hotel down which isnt on. Please sort him out with his attitude 🙏 Pool Bar Great service we just helped ourselves we were half board and water was free such a great touch We didnt stay in for entertainment so cant comment. Entertainment staff Absolutely spot on. So much fun round the pool watching everyone have fun. All in all weve had an amazing week for my 60th birthday. Staff and guests were lovely and thank you Sol Arona for everything Will we be back? He'll yes but will avoid grumpy chef as he made my meal times anxious

We were at Sol Arona last week in August 2026. Lovely clean hotel, well spaced reception. we had a 1 bedroom room which was really lovely, spacious for 3 of us. Plenty of storage, again really clean. Staff are fantastic go out of their way for you. You ask for something and they are straight on it. Pool was good although i could see in the busy weeks it would be overcrowded as would the restaurent. Staff in small bar not welcoming or friendly in fact couldnt wait to get you out. Entertainment for kids was good on the whole but could have been better for all. The day we left i was taken ill suffering sickness etc. Did manage to get on plane after various medications. I have just recovered nearly 4 weeks on. I can only think it was the all inclusive or air conditioning. I have never felt so ill. Having said this i did enjoy the food could have been hotter though. Loads of shops, restaurents locally. Lovely walk down to beach. Short taxi drive to Costa Adeje and Las Americas. Some of family went to Siam Park had a great time but long waits for rides. Overall a great holiday and we would stay at Sol Arona again.

Me and my partner have just arrived home after a week stay all inclusive here. After seeing good reviews and photos we decided to book. On arrival the room was clean and tidy and the receptionists were lovely and were the whole stay. We went to the bar and were told that the only drinks on all inclusive was 3 cocktails, a house beer and a wine, no spirits or better choice of cocktails. Online it said that all of this was included when it wasn’t. The pool bar staff were unhelpful and slightly rude and the snack bar was awful with chips, and ham sandwiches every day, and burgers if you got there quick enough. the pool area was clean and heated on colder days, but was not enough sun loungers. My partner lost his vape in the bar in reception and went back to get it and it had been stolen. The food was terrible, the worst food i’ve ever had in a hotel, breakfast dinner and tea. All cold and nothing we liked so we had to eat out every single day. The cleaners were rude and barely cleaned anything, we had accidentally spilled fanta on the bed and it was absolutely soaked and she made the bed and did not change it, and when we asked her too please change one set of sheets she walked away saying she doesn’t understand any english what so ever. The beds were very uncomfy and the air con only went to the coldest setting on our last day, it went down 1 degree every day so the room was very warm. The entertainment was disappointing We wouldn’t stay here again, and after reading so so many good reviews and for what we paid i was quite shocked.
