The good: The staff were brilliant. Very friendly and helpful at all times and I have to give them credit to how hard they all worked. There was plenty of entertainment throughout the day. The kids loved the splash pool. The food choice was good and managed to cater for my fussy children. I really enjoy the style of the hotel l and the views of the mountains were amazing. The hotel was clean at all times. The minor negatives: The evening entertainment when outside was very loud and went on late so made it hard to sleep. The sun lounger reservations. People got up early to put towels on sun loungers to reserve them but then didn't use for hours making them unavailable for others to use in the meantime. There was always room at the splash pool though if you have young children. The food stampede, when the doors first open for the evening meal there is a desperate rush and it is a little chaotic. People seem to think the food will run out. Timings, I would suggest bringing forward the evening meal to 6:30 as the kids mini disco is at 8:15 and this would take away a bit of the initial rush for everyone to get their children fed beforehand. The kids mini disco was short only lasting 20/25 minutes and was the same every night but the kids did not mind. The negatives did not outweigh the positives I would not let them put you off we still had a very enjoyable holiday here. The location as others mentioned in on a steep hill but the views of the mountains are worth it, the walk down is no problem at all and there are plenty of taxis available for the trip back at only €5.

We had a great holiday in Costa Adeje! After going to a 4 star in turkey last year, there is a massive difference between 4 star in Turkey and 4 star in Tenerife. On arrival at the hotel the grounds are stunning! We had room 205 which was a really nice size and spotless! Thw hot tub was a bit tired looking and not very warm. We only used it twice so probably wouldnt get the room witb hot tub again as we didnt utilise it. Nice views from the room and always had sun. The maids kept the room spotless. We didnt use the small kids pool and always dat around the big pool. Do not sit on the left hand side of the pool between the stage and pool bar as it smells like rotten nappies. We always managed to get a bed and the one day we couldnt the lifeguard removed towels. They would put laminated cards on the beds that had been left with towels. The food at the pool was a bit limited but we really enjoyed the chips and burgers. You had to pay extra for crisps, icecream etc. They did provide small tubs of cheap icecream but couldnt warrant paying extra for a cone,or premium icecream, so we had to choose between the tubs of strawberry and vanilla. The toilets ar the pool were yucky so we would use the ones at the restaurant. Could do with getting rid of the old white plastic sunbeds asbthey are not comfy. The kids got involved with the pool games and the staff were really good, always remembering the kids names. They did shuffleboard, darts, volleyball, aqua aerobics etc. Mealtimes were a nightmare. We did always manage to find something but often had to queue to get in. I would recommend going for food early as there are kids everywhere just touching everything and putting it back and making a mess. Food wasnt filled up very quickly, so you would have to wait for you wanted. Breakfast was ok, again quite basic but the orange juice only worked half the holiday and you weren't allowed fizzy juice at breakfast. The bar at night was only open till 11 so we ventured out most nights. We stayed one night to play bingo and they only had one game. The singer was good but it was inside. Wpuld have preferred to sit outside. We did the family photos with the hotel photographer, she was soo lovely but it was an absolute rip off price wise. 250 euros for all our photos that we would have liked. We ended up paying 70 euros for 7 photos :O Location wise the hotel was at the top of a hill. Not just a small hill lol we had to taxi it all the time which was releitively cheap and there is a free shuttle bus. You couldnt walk it with young kids as the roads are crazy busy. Our flight home was not till 9.30 at night and we asked the night before to pay for our room longer, which they couldnt accomadate, so we were out at 11am. Thankfully i asked about the small courtesy shower room. We had this for 45 minutes thankfully bur you have to BOOK or you will miss out. Our kids were older so I probably wouldnt come back. As I said before we were constantly comparing to Turkey and it fell very short. It was really good but we felt like they were just wanting to get more money out of us and was aimed at the spanish and younger kids.

We stayed at Tagoro as a family and, unfortunately, this was the weakest hotel we have stayed at over the last few years. There are some genuinely good things about the hotel, especially the rooms and the staff, but overall we left disappointed. The biggest disappointment was probably the food. It was not terrible overall, but it was very average and, unfortunately, the worst we have experienced across the five other hotels we have stayed at in recent years. The quality and choice simply do not compare with similarly priced all-inclusive hotels. Bahia Principe, for example, now seems amazing in comparison to Tagoro. Freshness was also an issue at times. We had melon and mango that tasted as though they should no longer have been served, and lettuce that was visibly starting to go black. These are basic things that should really be picked up before food reaches the buffet. There were also constant queues for food, and it often seemed like there simply were not enough staff members. I want to be clear that I am not saying the staff were working slowly. Quite the opposite. To me, the kitchen and food service were clearly understaffed. We saw individual staff members having to do three or four different jobs at the same time while the queue at their food station kept growing. Waiting five minutes in a queue just to get some meat is an absolute joke at an all-inclusive hotel. It also gives the impression that the hotel is trying to limit how much food is actually being served. When people have to stand in long queues for certain items, some will simply give up and choose something else. Whether that is actually the intention or not, that is certainly how it comes across to a guest. The kids' food selection was another disappointment. The cheap-looking sandwiches in the kids' corner were honestly quite laughable and did not feel like a proper attempt at providing appealing food for children. It might actually be worth speaking to the kids themselves and asking what they would like to see there. I think you would get some very useful feedback from them. More generally, it feels like the hotel is trying to save money on absolutely everything, even down to the toilet paper and the way it is handed out. These little things add up and make the whole experience feel cheap, despite this not being a cheap holiday. The all-inclusive extension after checkout was another example of this. Charging €15 per adult and €10 per child just to extend the all-inclusive for a few hours is honestly ridiculous. We stayed until 17:15 and had to pay an extra €40 just to continue using something we had already paid for throughout our holiday. Especially considering how often guests eat out, miss lunch or simply do not use everything included in the package, this feels like a charge you could easily do without, as other all-inclusive hotels we have stayed at have done. It left a really poor impression at the end of our stay. The kids club and entertainment were also a big disappointment for us. This was actually one of the reasons I chose the hotel, as I was hoping there would be a great atmosphere for the children. It seemed like there was only one member of staff running most of the kids activities, while the creche felt completely separate from the rest of the hotel, almost more like a nursery. When we visited, nobody even acknowledged us or said hello. Without enough animation staff organising games and getting children involved, kids naturally tend to stay in their own little groups, which makes it much harder for them to meet and make friends with other children. That is where a good animation team makes such a difference, bringing the kids together, getting everyone involved and creating that fun holiday atmosphere. We really missed that here. At other hotels we have stayed at, by day three the animation team would know our daughters by name, chat to them around the hotel and make them feel like their best friends. That personal interaction makes such a difference to a family holiday. At Tagoro, the animation team simply seems too small to create that kind of atmosphere, and it really shows. That said, the strongest part of the hotel by far is the staff and the quality of the rooms. Every member of staff we met at reception, the bars and housekeeping was cheerful, friendly and genuinely helpful. Even the guy who cleans the pool area every morning with the hose was incredibly friendly, hard working and always helpful. There was also a young member of staff at reception whose name I unfortunately did not catch. She had long dark blonde/ginger hair and was absolutely amazing, always so helpful and friendly. She really stood out to us. Your staff are clearly the biggest asset of the hotel. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, cheerful and willing to help. Please look after your staff well, because they are a real credit to the hotel. I would also strongly recommend increasing the number of kitchen and food service staff. It was very clear that some of them were struggling with the number of different jobs they were expected to handle at the same time. The problem did not seem to be the staff themselves, but simply that there were not enough of them. Overall, the rooms and especially the staff are excellent, but everything else feels like it has been cut back too far. There are good people working there, but they are being asked to do too much with too little support. Based on our experience, this was unfortunately the weakest hotel we have stayed at over the last few years. I would not recommend Tagoro and would not return.

we had a great room with a Jacuzzi hot tub on the side balcony, fantastic. Private, roomy and comfortable. The staff made this holiday work for us, they were all great. The food was very good indeed. This is catered for families really, but we did not expect so many kids to be there, but it was still no problem. the only gripe for us was the stairs, many of them, this is not an issue if you are fit and able, but if you have any problems with walking, or climbing steps then be mindful that there is no getting around the stairs. We enjoyed the food, the beers, the cocktails, the entertainment. We hired a car for two days via reception, all went very well.

Brilliant family holiday – would happily return! We had a brilliant holiday at Tagoro Family & Fun and would happily return. It's a great hotel for families, with plenty to do throughout the day and evening, meaning you could easily spend the whole day at the hotel. The pools were great, the pool area was always clean, and there was a lovely atmosphere. There were activities throughout the day, and the splash pool was great for the kids. We particularly liked the indoor activity at 3pm, which gave the children a break from the sun. The entertainment was brilliant, with something different every night and plenty for both kids and adults. All the staff were lovely. A special mention to the lady cooking pancakes at breakfast, who remembered exactly how my daughter liked hers by the end of the week, and the fun chef at the snack bar who wore different masks to entertain the children. The entertainment team, including Enzo, and the kids' club staff were fantastic too. There was plenty of choice in the main restaurant, and even our picky eaters were happy! There was a good selection of fruit and vegetables, a kids' section and child-friendly plates and cutlery. We had lunch at the snack bar most days and were happy with the options there too. The all-inclusive drinks selection was great. The only thing we would have liked was ice cream included at the snack bar, as this was an extra charge. We stayed in a standard Deluxe room, with the girls sleeping on the sofa bed, and it suited us perfectly. Housekeeping came daily, and the hotel was always being cleaned and well looked after. The location is a little outside the main area, but there are two supermarkets within a five-minute walk. The beach is around a 20-minute walk downhill, or taxis were only about €4, so it wasn't an issue for us. Overall, we had a fantastic family holiday and would happily recommend this hotel to other families. We're already looking at returning! We booked direct with hotel and received free tickets for Aqualand and booking direct was definitely the best value for money! A great all inclusive holiday for the price we paid!
