TRH Taoro Garden

We really enjoyed our stay at Tauro Garden Hotel but like most places there were some things that could have been improved. Firstly the staff were without exception absolutely wonderful . i must name a few. Entertainment Erica who is complete happiness , never stopping smiling and laughing She does all the games and weekly Aqua class which was great as she is obviously well trained. Waiter Sergio and waitresses Monica and Neidy. Several barmen who were brilliant too. They really made the holiday being so friendly and welcoming . There wasn't too much choice in the food if your are a plain eater. There was always a freshly cooked option of different fish or usually Pork [so much Pork !!! One day in our 12 there was Entrecote Steak ,but very tough, another day Turkey breast and one day cold Chicken pieces were available too. They did have Gluten Free bread and Rolls and a separate toaster for a Coeliac, I am just Gluten intolerant but this was good for me. There were no Tea/ Coffee making facilities in the rooms, you could ask for a free kettle but you had to pay for a tea/coffee ect package. The shuttle bus service was really good and we used it several times, it is very hilly in this part of Puerto De La Cruz. Busses were very good too and not expensive we went to ICOD, LA LAGUNA and OROTAVA, all very enjoyable to visit. Entertainment was basically background music 4 acts repeated over our 12 days . A harpist and two guitarists. A singer who played the Sax too, An Organist and a Singer [Say no More !!] Honestly I would have preferred to listen to Antonio Diaz every night , very easy to listen to. Music played around the pool was really quiet and there was never a problem getting a sunbed. We would conclude if you want a really quiet, peaceful very friendly hotel to stay in , then this is definitely he one for you .

Lovely hotel. Nice pool area however there is no atmosphere around the pool. Could do with some music to create some atmosphere.

Stayed 1 week in October. Clean hotel, friendly staff, large rooms and pool. Adult only, calm vibe, limited hotel entertainment so good for relaxing. The local area has limited things to do. It is a 20 minute steep downhill walk to reach the town/seafront, but taxis are only €5 to get back up. But only a few shops, restaurants and bars, very limited if staying for more than 4 days. Nothing in the immediate area without walking down to town. Local excursions mostly consist of a few bus tours around the island/mountain, quad biking, or a nearby water park. The hotel breakfast and dinner buffets need a lot of improvement. Very limited selection of dishes and poor allergy handling. Breakfast is approximately only 5 hot dishes as well as cereal, breads and fruits, and no differences between days. Dinner was approximately 10 hot dishes. Within these selections, very limited suitability for those with allergies. Although the hot dishes contained allergen labelling, most of the other/cold dishes didn’t have labels, as well as some labelling being incorrect (for example sushi was labelled dairy free, but visible cream cheese and the chef confirmed that). Cross contamination was higher than many other hotels I have stayed at, with the hotel staff mixing different allergens (putting different breads into one basket when the separate baskets become low stocked), sharing tongs (for example the chef using the same spatula to stir the milk-containing eggs as well as the ‘dairy free’ bacon) and every single day there was large amounts of milk-containing scrambled egg dripped into the beans. If you have no dietary requirements then this is a decent place for a short holiday (4-7 days maximum). However I do not recommend visiting if you have any dietary requirements (allergies, vegan, vegetarian, etc).

Went on the 26th of September for a week very clean staff all of them were great food was good plus hot very quiet which is what we wanted gardens were fantastic the wellbeing centre and my message were amazing room was okay nine and half out of 10 for me defo go back in the future thanks to all for a great holiday

This is a hotel where the vast majority of the staff seem to actually care about the customer. The hotel is quiet and has good food too. Thank you for a good break.
