Arona Gran & Spa

Lovely hotel at the very end of Los Cristianos beach. We were half board and the food had a very wide choice. Rooms were lovely.Our only irritation was they use waiter service at night for your drinks, sometimes this proved difficult to get served and would have benefited with more staff; however overall you will love the hotel.

A fantastic relaxing experience. Staff were all helpful, friendly and efficient. The hotel grounds were really well kept including immaculate gardens and plants, pool area and dining. Service from all staff was excellent. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a drama free, relaxing break. I would say this holiday is typically suited to over 40’s. The evening entertainment included Divas, ‘Queen’, and a Crooner. The hotel processes were really well thought out. Yes it’s true that early morning sunbed hoggers are at risk of getting their towels removed between 9-10am if they are not occupied by people, however this seems fair to me and was fun to watch. There were plenty of Sun beds available and we never had any problems there. We never upgraded to use the rooftop UP facility as we were already happy. There are three main pools in the main area, one had a range of jacuzzis and fountains and bubble beds set within it which was really relaxing. There were daily activities for example aqua gym, bingo, yoga, quiz, and sometimes there were other poolside daytime entertainment on show eg dancers or cooking demo. The room we had was really spacious with a balcony with a nice sea view. We had robes to use and given slippers. The room had ample toiletries shampoo/conditioner in one, bath/shower gel in one, liquid hand soap and body lotion. Bathroom had a full sized hairdryer. Other facilities included a kettle, mini fridge, balcony clothes airer. Wardrobe had 20 coat hangers in it which was great and loads of shelf space. The breakfast and evening buffet was excellent quality and had loads of food options. Most foods were labelled to show if vegetarian or not. At breakfast time you can get a glass of fizz too which was a pleasant surprise. Port location was nice and just a short walk to bars and shopping and mini golf. Almost everyone we spoke to were returning visitors to the hotel, and we plan to return to.

I am not too sure where to start with my review of this hotel, how about fantastic! It is situated close to the beach and close to all amenities. We frequently traveled by bus to the neighbouring Playa Las Americas and Costa Adeje. Both really good days out. The hotel itself is a really chilled out place to be, fantastic helpful reception staff, nothing was ever too much trouble. The room was great on the first floor kept in immaculate condition by the lovely domestic staff. The food was always hot and very varied, also of good quality. The entertainment was fun, we took part in the acqua aerobics, which was well run by the amazing entertainment staff.I liked the gym myself, a fully equipped large gym which put some in the UK to shame. The gym instructor was particularly helpful and she was always on hand for advice. This is my first visit to this hotel but it definitely won’t be the my last! The best hotel best food and attentive staff

This is the second time I've been to this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I think this hotel is one of the best in Los Chris from arrival at reception around 22.30 we were booked in quickly by the friendly staff given a drink and informed that there's food in the restaurant if you required something it was cheese meat cake but very welcome. Our room was clean and had everything you would expect, the bed was very comfortable and we slept well during our stay. We were half board and found the food excellent no real complaints always plenty to choose from and at a good standard we may have put on a little weight over our stay. There are other restaurants on site and we used the one next to the pool for lunch on a few occasions and found it too be good, a nice area to relax, the menu wasn't over the top with to much to choose from but plenty of variety and we thought very well priced and good portion sizes. The pool area was a great place to relax always plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, there were three pools two larger ones to swim in and a small one just to relax and cool down in. If you wanted just to relax and read a book you have that option but they have two dedicated members of the staff who are fantastic and have activities throughout the day they work extremely hard to make sure that you have a great holiday in fact I'd say they made my stay, get involved you might just have a ball. There is a option were you can pay extra and use the roof area I was quoted 67 euros each per day for this you get food and drinks between 10am and 6pm and I believe a spa treatment each but speak to reception for the correct information we never took this option up. As in all hotels it's never 100% a few things that I noticed but in no way took away from the enjoyment we had in our ten day stay, a few things in the room could do with a touch up but am sure the hotel will be on it, the bar staff work very hard to ensure during the entertainment in the evening you get the drinks or cocktails you require but you might wait if all the seated areas are full, we only went the entertainment twice over the two stays and the reason was we like too get out and get our steps in when it's slightly cooler in the evening but the one's we saw were very good. On booking out I was given a surprise and they knocked 15% off from the money I spent around the hotel during my stay for drinks and lunch a nice thing to do, we are now looking forward to returning in the near future.
